- acmaurer, on 11/15/2009, -1/+105It's definitely a nice gesture - no matter how you feel about either one of them.
- gvoakes, on 11/14/2009, -12/+101Johnny Depp rules
- rheaume, on 11/15/2009, -0/+79Cage helped Depp when he was a nobody, thats what good friends do
- KPope, on 11/14/2009, -5/+67Fooking bum, wheres my celebrity to pay for my frivolous spending?!
- Akairenn, on 11/15/2009, -1/+50Lord of War.
- iPlunder, on 11/15/2009, -1/+43Seriously? He spent ALL that treasure money that fast? Why on earth did he settle for 1 percent?!
- DeusGear, on 11/15/2009, -3/+34I never did understand all the hate for Cages acting. It seems as good as any other "big" movie actor..
- joker927, on 11/15/2009, -0/+26Strange, the guy that can see the future has to get a bailout from an ancient pirate.
- rompom7, on 11/15/2009, -0/+26Depp helped John Frusciante through drug addiction. He thanked the hospital where his daughter was treated by visiting dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow, reading to children and donating $2 million. Now helping Nicolas Cage like this...
Depp is such a good guy. - Nintendesert, on 11/15/2009, -1/+25Go discover one.
- DeathRay2K, on 11/15/2009, -1/+24You have to be so good that everyone truly believes you aren't in the paper bag any more.
- Maraud3r, on 11/15/2009, -0/+20How exactly does one act their way out of a paper bag?
- doshindude, on 11/15/2009, -0/+16OH GOD THE BEES!!!
- 1longtime, on 11/15/2009, -1/+16Leaving Las Vegas. Cage won an Oscar for Best Actor.
Raising Arizona. Matchstick Men. Lord of War.
He's obviously been selecting ***** movies for the money (for several years now), but the guy can ***** act. Come on. - mimigins, on 11/15/2009, -1/+16Already down
http://rorr.im/digg.com/celebrity/johnny_depp_to_g ... - elliotys, on 11/15/2009, -0/+15I thought he was good in Raising Arizona, The Weatherman, and Adaptation.
- krymson, on 11/15/2009, -1/+16i think you went directly to B without going through step A.
- mrshickadance9, on 11/15/2009, -1/+15agreed. He's been VERY good in some roles too. Then again... he's been REALLY bad in some..
- redbarchettayyz, on 11/15/2009, -1/+14Classy
- ChromaVita, on 11/15/2009, -4/+17Gone in 60 Seconds.
- dawgma, on 11/15/2009, -0/+13It's a matter of respect, dude. It's equivilant to helping out someone who is close to you. And it's probably a zero interest loan. Shut the ***** up.
- shadowfoxmi, on 11/15/2009, -1/+14N Cage is broke?
- theghoul, on 11/15/2009, -0/+128MM was pretty good. When he beat that porn provider to death with a pistol and had that fearful "I just killed someone" look , it looked disturbing. Great acting in that.
- BeastOfGevaudan, on 11/15/2009, -0/+12Nic Cage can give a good performance... about once a decade. Apparently he's really good in Bad Lieutenant.
- AiR1890, on 11/15/2009, -0/+12Didn't you read the article? Nicolas Cage is suing his financal advisor for mismanaging his funds, I am sure it wasn't all his fault.
- Terwa, on 11/15/2009, -0/+12HOW'D IT GET BURNED???
- valis, on 11/15/2009, -0/+12@dawgma: That's a fair comment. I retract the use of the word.
- evergrim, on 11/15/2009, -0/+11I like the one where he plays the scary looking neurotic guy who is also a badass.
- macslut, on 11/15/2009, -1/+12Nicolas Cage is really good in comedies. The Wicker Man was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.
- valis, on 11/15/2009, -1/+11I am a very odd fellow. So is Depp. That's about as common ground as there is between us. I like Depp. I like his mercurial ability to slip into parts and seem to be lost in them. Mostly, though, I've generally liked his ability to be a human being in a business and an environment that tends to crush human beings.
Good on Depp. Cage can't really hold a candle to his protege, yet Depp once again restores some faith that quirky and adaptive personalities can rise to reward those who have given them a leg up - even when it seems misguided. - dawgma, on 11/15/2009, -0/+10Depp wouldn't be considered Cage's protege. Seeing someone's potential and setting them up with a meeting with their agent does not qualify as a mentorship.
- RAAFStupot, on 11/15/2009, -0/+10Leaving Las Vegas
- rolf, on 11/15/2009, -0/+10Nah, too skinny. Most people prefer more cushion for the pushin'.
- Maraud3r, on 11/15/2009, -0/+9The two actors some of you tards keep arguing about and pitting against each other get along great. Quit choosing sides when there aren't any.
- jserio, on 11/15/2009, -2/+11Site wont load. Someone needs to give stylecaster.com a bailout.
- casspa, on 11/14/2009, -2/+11what a sweetheart
- rolf, on 11/15/2009, -1/+9The above tasteless joke aside, what are you doing for starving kids? I assume you have a computer, so in relation to most of the world population, you're probably better off than most. Perhaps have a console and/or games as well? Children's Fund costs like $250 a year to sponsor one kid, that's like 40 hrs work minimum wage a year - about 3.5 hours a month.
Just asking, since you're telling others how to use their money. - WordsnCollision, on 11/15/2009, -2/+10Does it include a reach-around at least?
- candorny, on 11/15/2009, -0/+8Why doesn't Bridget Fonda help him? He gave her half his lottery ticket when she was a struggling waitress.
- sunshinehiphop, on 11/15/2009, -2/+10THE BEEEEES NOT THE BEEEEEEEESSS
- fabregas88, on 11/15/2009, -0/+8People expect better of him. Because he's won an Oscar and been in some great movies mentioned above already, people don't like to see him slumming it in crapola like Bangkok Dangerous (Yes, I'm not kidding that's an actual name of a movie he was in).
Nice move by Depp and Nic Cage seems like a good guy helping Depp out when he was a nobody. - DrCyclops, on 11/15/2009, -0/+8Sense memory.
- TheMachine1, on 11/15/2009, -0/+8It is likely a temporary loan.
- geckron2, on 11/15/2009, -3/+10National Treasure was pretty alright. The sequel, on the other hand, blew goats.
- inactive, on 11/15/2009, -1/+8Actually his accountant is the one who screwed him over I believe...
- Ziriux, on 11/15/2009, -0/+7Always been this way, real life to movies baby.
- candorny, on 11/15/2009, -0/+7It is not like Depp is going to GIVE him the money. No matter what people on this site thinks, Cage is still a VERY bankable actor. The next movie he makes will earn him enough money to pay Depp back. And that is even if his lawsuit DOESN'T get him back some of his own millions.
- matt.rubin, on 11/15/2009, -1/+8Johnny Depp is First Class.
- relvlix, on 11/15/2009, -1/+8I doubt he will see it that way
- colinmhayes, on 11/15/2009, -0/+7he's ***** awesome in bad lieutenant.
