    That was not shown in the dupe check. If Digg knows it is related by keywords, why wouldn't it show up in the dupe check?

    He's a fully qualified command pilot on the 707 and I think at least one other type. I would imagine he stays current using simulators but I know he flies actual Quantas revenue flights once in a while.

    The dupe filter has been broken since forever. It's unreliable and useless.

    Honestly, its far better to do a digg search before you submit anything, although even that will fail when stories are submitted within a close timeframe of a few minutes.

    But still, digg search + dupe filter is a useful combo to eliminate a great deal of duplicate entries.
