In the past couple years I have seen him come out against joke stealing comics like Denis Leary, Carlos Menica and Dane Cook. - daRoach, on 10/12/2007, -11/+136I hate when people say "yeah he stole it... BUT he MADE it FUNNIER!!!" No. When you use someone else's joke you have to credit them. I have heard some comedians say "I heard *so and so* say this..." and then they tell the joke, and they add on to it. But at least they give the first person the credit. What some others do (Mencia and Cook) is take the joke and just SCREAM it as loud as they can, and to them that makes it funnier, but if you had heard the first person tell the real joke you would know the real passion where the joke came from. There is a lot of stupid humor these days and these comedians are trying to take advantage of it but we won't let them.

Then the next time I saw him on TV was his show, and this man does not deserve the ability of speech. He acts racist to be funny, and thinks that controversy = humor. The only problem is that you actually have to be a little funny to make it work.

You could be right about 'that' joke, but that still doesn't explain the hundreds of others he's stolen. In the video George Lopez even says, "I watched his HBO special and counted 13 minutes of my material". There is no way you just compared Carlos Mencia to Mel Brooks. Brooks is a brilliant comedian, writer, actor, and director. He showed two videos back to back, one of Ari (I think that was him) and another of Carlos telling almost the same exact joke. I think he offered plenty of evidence of other respected comedians with the same viewpoint as Joe.

I'm pretty sure it'd be hard to find a replacement to that duo. Everything about the Man Show was great. Look at Adam and Jimmy now, not doing nearly as well I'd say. Plus I think Rogan should be commended for what he's doing. Look at all the comedians on the video that were saying yeah he stole my *****. Most of those comedians I didn't know by name but their faces were familar from Comedy Central stand up. Anyways, they were small potatoes compared to Mencia and Rogan IMO and if Joe is willing to stand up for them and tell Mencia to stop stealing their ***** then all for him.
It's like if you created something and a more famous person markets it under his/her name. Wouldn't you be a little pissed off if someone stole your ***** and didn't give you any recognition? Stop saying Joe's a whiny bitch about Mencia and see the situation for what it is.
