It Was A Very Good Year-By Frank Sinatra watch!
youtube.com — The song recounts the type of girls the singer had relationships with at various years in his life. When he was 17, small-town girls on the village green; 21, city girls who lived up the stair; 35, blue-blooded girls of independent means. Each of these he calls a "very good year." But he older now, and thinks of his life a "vintage wine."

- palehorse864, on 03/23/2008, -2/+7Indeed, nice choice. Sinatra is probably the greatest non-operatic singer to come along in the era of recorded music, and may never be topped.
Here are some other good songs by Sinatra, though anything from his Capitol years tends to be great, and even his Reprise stuff sounds great.
Strangers in the Night - "This one has been covered and parodied in several places, but Sinatra's singing on the real thing is amazing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAEQzVv_Itc

Great song from one of the best albums of the 1950s. - kd1s, on 03/24/2008, -0/+2Indeed, I didn't develop an appreciation of Sinatra until I was in my 30's. And as far as Fly me to the moon, Astrud Gilberto did a version too. The SO likes hers better and whenever it's played, it has to be followed by the Sinatra version.

"Hello my good friends. I chose this one last digg, because it has always been one of my favorites, and I must tell you that I have just found out that my health isn't very good. I am going to have to leave digg for a while. I don't know the outcome just that I will be under a doctor’s care for a long while. You are all my good Digg friends and I think you for all your support. I have enjoyed supporting your submissions as well. You have given me many memories. And this song is for you as well. I wish you the best in every thing you do. Please know that you will always be my friends. Goodbye for now my friends. Hopefully I will return to Digg sometime in the future, but for now I will just say; "auf Wiedersehen"; which means; "Until we see each other again" Braveheart."
Braveheart a.k.a Member148.
See you real soon 148. Awesome song.- subscriber, on 03/23/2008, -0/+2He's still digging. Did he get better? Hope so.

damn i miss that show- BuzzFriendly, on 03/23/2008, -0/+2I miss it as well. It was the first time I heard this song and loved it ever since.
- digitalunit, on 03/23/2008, -2/+10I am very confused.. Who is member 148, why is he or she special, what is this and what is it doing on Digg?
- Igno, on 03/23/2008, -1/+4That last part of your question basically sums up my opinion of some article I see every time I check the front page, including this one. Get well Member148, but please let some actual news or information get to the front page, they deserve a chance too.
- MTessa, on 03/23/2008, -0/+3Digg's voting system reflects what people care about. sometime hot political issues, new releases of games, some hot woman, a photo only made funny a good caption (bird and hawk yesterday), digg doing something, new research on health and well being, a great picture of the solar system and in this case a cherished member of the community who is ill and will not return for some time. This is called a community. It reflects the issues and people of the day. Digg would be nothing but an AP wire if this were not the case. There is always room for differing issues and opinions. One must not read or comment or digg or bury everything on Digg. Hopefully there will always be more than any individual cares most about.
Best of luck Braveheart. Please prevail this serious illness. We will miss you and your contributions. Your well thought out comments were always my favorite. Never a word unless meaningful. God Bless. - kthxbai85, on 03/25/2008, -0/+0Read all the comments above yours and you will find out who he was, why he is special, and what this is about.
- ICANSTANDIT, on 03/23/2008, -0/+1Life is what you make of it. To me, nobody could quite put a song over like Frankie; his female counterpart to me was Peggy Lee. And their music still charms me, even now. It does help to turn back my clock and their songs make me think of long lost friends.
Yes, I had some very good years, too. And the best to all those who are still paying and have paid their dues in this world... - buddamus, on 03/23/2008, -0/+2A true musical god, R.I.P
- Torley, on 03/23/2008, -1/+11This Sinatra song is kind of like a classy version of Ludacris' "Area Codes".

- GeorgeStone2, on 03/23/2008, -6/+2Frank Sinatra was/is a jerk.
My Granddad was introduced to him a long time ago. He said how much of a fan he was and how nice it was to meet him, Frank Sinatra told him to ***** off and turned around.
Pretty rude if you ask me, it's not like there was 1000 fans around. It was an exclusive club.- x00x, on 03/23/2008, -0/+4Don't feel too badly about it. Frank could be as equally kind, magnanimous as he was cruel, rude. His extraordinary rudeness is legendary. He called Barbara Walters the ugliest broad he's ever seen. Senator D'Amato of New York had his request to be introduced to Frank at a party turned down with an emphatic NO!
- kthxbai85, on 03/25/2008, -0/+0Besides, who cares if he was rude? The guy can sing like no body's business! Michael Buble will never be that good.

- x00x, on 03/23/2008, -0/+2Thanks for posting. One of Frank's best.
- phazon88, on 03/23/2008, -0/+2Where did member148 say he was sick? Anyway hope ya get better if that's the case.
- kthxbai85, on 03/25/2008, -0/+0Try checking the 7th comment from the top of this page. Maybe that will answer your question.
- xenex11, on 03/23/2008, -0/+2It would have been nice to see pics of Sinatra at all those ages while the song was playing.
- kthxbai85, on 03/25/2008, -0/+0Or at least somebody of roughly those ages. I was disappointed that the picture stayed the same all the way through.
- supermanred, on 03/23/2008, -2/+2I like the Homer SImpson version better.
