- lisaawesome, on 10/11/2007, -24/+219I think anyone with any interest in case read all this information over 10 years ago. Nothing new.
- swrostmore, on 10/11/2007, -5/+124If you are into celebrity suicide conspiracy theories, try Hunter Thompson - he allegedly killed himself while on the phone with his wife, at a time when he was investigating Jeff Gannon's ties to the white house. He allegedly said of the story he was writing, and I'm only paraphrasing here, "They are going to kill me for writing this, and they will make it look like a suicide"
- artemus, on 10/11/2007, -1/+107There's no statute of limitation on murder.
- SpaceMonkeyZero, on 10/11/2007, -24/+111Kurt Cobain was killed by Dick Cheney! go to www.KurtCobainTroofCheneyDidIt.com/KurtCobain_insidejob.php
But seriously, Courtney Love is a dried up whore. - BrainInAJar, on 10/11/2007, -4/+72or Elliott Smith.
He died of multiple stab wounds to the chest and defensive wounds on his hands, with a suicide note that said " I'm Sorry - Elliot " ( his own name spelled wrong ) on a post-it, in a period where his depression was under control & he wasn't on any drugs.
coroner ruled it a suicide. - wendelgee2, on 10/11/2007, -1/+50O.J. cannot be retried because of double jeopardy, not statute of limitations.
- djAnakin, on 10/11/2007, -4/+53^^^
And, OJ Simpson was convicted in civil court. Do some research before spouting off things which you know nothing about. - Dabisu, on 10/11/2007, -6/+45Did anyone see the documentary about his death? I thought it was pretty convincing that he was murdered.
- backflipper, on 10/11/2007, -1/+36OJ was found liable for their deaths in a civil court. The amount of evidence needed for a civil trial is far less than for a criminal trial. Of course, everyone knows he did it...
- smackhero, on 10/11/2007, -6/+41they're better than people who just think that everything is exactly what it seems, and that anyone who challenges accepted views are delusional or disrespectful.
- brianjlowry, on 10/11/2007, -4/+35While we're at it, any news on Tupac's case?
- SgtAl, on 10/11/2007, -6/+34If I had to listen to Courtney's whiny voice screaming at me day and night I would have killed myself just like he did to get away from that Nancy Spungen wanna be.
- rosshettel, on 10/11/2007, -2/+28damnit, there's threaded comments for a reason!
- codywalton, on 10/11/2007, -4/+29Quiet now. The Grown-ups are talking.
- SpaceMonkeyZero, on 10/11/2007, -10/+31I'd say the whole missing 75% of his head killed him.
Or are you saying he o'd while pretending to shoot himself in the face with a shotgun and he fell on the trigger? - richgustavson, on 10/11/2007, -2/+23Angelfire? WOW, thanks for that flashback to the 90's!
- colincornaby, on 10/11/2007, -1/+20Here in Seattle we have this nutty guy on the public access channel who just goes around all day accusing public figures of covering up the "Kurt Cobain Murder". It's actually kind of funny to watch. He just goes around holding a home video camera to his face while he stalks people in Seattle.
http://www.angelfire.com/home/KCWMTV/kcwm.html - smackhero, on 10/11/2007, -0/+18that is the most interesting misspelling of 'pedestal' that i have ever seen.
i guess it might make sense if you mean that he didn't want to 'sell *****' for the record labels... - HunterTV, on 10/11/2007, -0/+18You're wrong on four counts. 4 for 4 actually. That's gotta be a new record.
- SailRacer, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19links dead... mirror:
http://duggmirror.com/celebrity/If_you_think_Kurt_Cobain_killed_himself_think_again - kangarude, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19What's wrong with being addicted to heroines? It's much better than being on drugs.
- HarryBauzonia, on 10/11/2007, -20/+37This is Digg.
Of course President Bush did it. - honkeybot5k, on 10/11/2007, -5/+22Yes, the journals that Courtney Love had in her possession for 10 years. Real hard hitting evidence there, Colombo
- gfair, on 10/11/2007, -24/+40What is also disrespectful is sick people that try to take advantage of the name of dead people by trumping up misinformation, lies, and unproveable information, suffering from the delusion that nothing significant is ever what it seems, always believing that there's some conspiracy behind it. And then they go and try to get publicity... that's far more disrespectful.
- kamisama, on 10/11/2007, -2/+17No that's not a cry for help, that's a song.
- nreynolds, on 10/11/2007, -4/+191993 called, it said "HEY GUYS! I found a telephone that can call through time!!!!!"
- mgrest, on 10/11/2007, -0/+15"peddle stool" - :)
- smackhero, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13so the truth shouldn't be uncovered just because someone is dead?
- rosshettel, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14it was his girlfriend, apparently she was in the bathroom when they were fighting, heard him scream, opened the door, and pulled the knife out of his chest. the misspelling was a mistake by the coroner, he admitted it later.
if youve ever seen elliott smith, youll find it hard to believe he had the strength (or anyone else for that matter) to stab himself in the chest. made great music though - captainpete, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13He also wrote one called "Moist Vagina". hehehe
- plhearn, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13Well they had that guy who claimed Courtney Love offered him 50,000$ to kill Kurt one time. But that guy didn't look trustworthy at all. Plus later in the documentary they said he mysteriously got hit by a train or something crazy like that.
- DeadWisdom, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13RTFA, they talk specifically about this many times. Essentially they say that although his music was depressing and he was rather depressed a lot, he wasn't suicidal, and that rumors of him being suicidal were initiated, baselessly, by Courtney Love after his death.
- andburn1, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13These people are so convinced by what they believe to be compelling evidence that they decided to form a website to compile all of the evidence into one cohesive argument. Someone believing something does not make it false. This is some of the worst logic I've ever seen.
Consider this: lots of the stories on digg come from Crooks and Liars. This site is obviously biased, as it aims specifically to catch powerful people doing evil deeds. Sure, everything they claim needs to be taken with a grain of salt, but if they cite properly and back up their information, the fact that they are reporting the story doesn't make it false. - flatpick, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12Supposedly, he quit drinking due to his stomach ailment.
- faston, on 10/11/2007, -2/+12I'm not addicted to heroines, but I really liked 'Ripley' in the Alien movies.
- robbh66, on 10/11/2007, -3/+13"Back then"
It was 14 years ago, not 41. - smitting, on 10/11/2007, -16/+26Considering he tried to kill himself less than 6 months prior to his successful attempt, and that he was in great physicial pain, and "You know you're right" sounds like a suicide letter, I'm surprised that anyone would consider that it wasn't a suicide.
I will never bother you
I will never promise to
I will never follow you
I will never bother you
Never speak a word again
I will crawl away for good
I will move away from here
You won't be afraid of fear
No thought was put into this
And I always knew it'd come to this
Things have never been so swell
I have never failed to feel
Pain - seanc6610, on 10/11/2007, -7/+16If Kurt Cobain wasn't murdered, he'd still be releasing 5-star albums, no questions asked. I'm 16, way too young to have understood the impact of Nirvana, but listening to him now makes me depressed that we lost him, the same way hearing Jimi on the radio reminds me that there was so much that could've come from both of these guys if they didn't pass.
- Kratisto, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11I'm not going to say Nirvana was the most talented band, but they had a huge impact on music. Second rate, my ass: People are still copying them, and failing at it.
- rigorx, on 10/11/2007, -4/+13The way so many people about FELT Jimi Hendrix, A LOT of Generation X'rs also FELT the same way about Kurt. Say what you want, but if you weren't around or into Nirvana to see them finally blow 80's music into a thing of the past, you missed some fantastic years in rock n roll history.
- PcChip, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9You guys are overlooking one important fact. From the article:
"Kurt apparently had 3 times the lethal 225 mgs dose of heroin (1.52 mgs per liter) in his blood system and intravenous puncture marks in both arms. Medical experts will tell you that such an amount, when injected directly into the bloodstream will leave you incapacitated and cause you to lapse into a coma within seconds, if not kill you instantly before the needle can even be removed from your arm. "
People who use heroin normally have a tolerance to it, regular users have a large tolerance. In users with a tolerance, many, MANY times the lethal dose can be taken with no ill effect. This needs to be taken into consideration before using it as the main argument of his murder. - dn11, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10dude, Kurt would have found that line cheesy. you realize that song was mocking "Teen Spirit" deodorant?
- SpaceMonkeyZero, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10They're keeping the troof hidden
- d00by, on 10/11/2007, -4/+13Did you read the article, it clearly talks about how Rome wasn't a suicide attempt. And the lyrics aren't any different than any of his other songs. That's who he was, and thats how he wrote. Read his biography, he had a tough life, but for some reason after he became extremely successful, he decides to kill himself? I dont believe that one bit.
- Nocturnal, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9The Jeff Gannon story is intense man. He's supposedly some kid who was kidnapped while delivering newspaper. Then he was taken by pedophiles who abused him and then eventually he escaped. It's a pretty nutty story.
- smackhero, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8what is cowardly about trying to uncover the truth? even if they're wrong? what does this have to do with being a coward at all? or do you just like to throw that word around to insult people without knowing what it means?
- Sparkster185, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8I agree. For my generation it was needles, booze and shotguns. For kids today, it's glocks, 20" rims and saggy pants.
- sandkiller, on 10/11/2007, -4/+12i'm dugging you down for not using the respective reply button.
- wonkavsn, on 10/11/2007, -7/+15Courtney did it. Robert Stack said so!
- Travisty2012, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Somebody gave him a "hot" shot...aka more heroin then he thought was in it and proceeded to OD. Then the shot gun was used to make it look like a suicide after he was already dead...
