Humane Society Condemns "Mutts and Moms" for Seizing Ellen Degeneres' Pooch

sgvtribune.com — A spokesperson from the Pasadena Humane Society and SPCA spoke harshly about "Mutts and Moms" decision to seize a dog originally adopted by Ellen Degeneres after Degeneres found a new home for the dog. The SPCA has no jurisdiction over the private Mutts and Moms dog rescue, but stated, "I doubt very much that we would've taken that animal away."

  • reneas34, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2It's really a shame the the rescue group didn't take the opportunity to return the dog & get a lot of GOOD publicity about the need for more loving families to adopt rescue animals. They have forgotten in their anger about the many still homeless animals. They now pretty much have mud on their face. Instead of GOOD publicity they have gotten a lot of BAD publicity. What have they gained??? A whole bunch of steps backward!!! Now peopole won't want to adopt from a rescue group because of this. Mutts & Moms...you should be ashamed at the damage that you have done to the rescue effort!!!!!!!

That would be similar to the Salvation Army calling the people they serve BUMS. The clowns at Mutts and Moms give rescuers and moms a bad name. I suggest someone roll the newspaper and smack them on the nose. Perhaps rename your rescue shelter to MUTTS AND MORONS.
    So much for promoting animal safety and protection.

    I think I saw the owners of Mutts and Moms on Jerry Springer show. The episode called, "Trailer Shelters"
