- ironeus, on 08/14/2008, -1/+18Imitating the AP was humorous and Mac's courage showed as early as 8th grade as he defended his teacher. I'm sure he was a very memorable student by to many more classmates & teachers.
- ohnoerino, on 08/14/2008, -3/+15I love the story about Mac impersonating the assistant principle...classic!
- electricwaffles, on 08/14/2008, -2/+10"oh i remember that punk!"
"ma'am, he just passed away." - YoYoBlah, on 08/14/2008, -1/+4It sounds like he was captivating audiences at a young age...
- H3000, on 08/15/2008, -1/+4Bernie Mac, George Carlin, Richard Pryor, I bet the angels in heaven are laughing their halos off right now!
- andreo, on 08/15/2008, -0/+3If you didn't like his humor then what's the problem? There are people that did. I didn't like him in some situations, but then liked him in others.
apparently there were more people that like him that didn't or the guy would have not had a lot of exposure. - MaryCait, on 08/15/2008, -0/+3I hope when I die a great and articulate teacher will think and write about ME...
- anotherghost, on 08/15/2008, -0/+2Yeah ok buddy
- jct821, on 08/15/2008, -1/+3Every time I read a new article about BMac, I miss him more and more.
- Rhythmix, on 08/15/2008, -0/+2Yeah and the same will happen to you. Now you wouldn't like that would you?
- mcse2k3, on 08/15/2008, -3/+4Bernie Mac is bad ass!!
- deaftly, on 08/15/2008, -1/+2The oceans movies wont be the same without him sadly
- enotswhat, on 08/15/2008, -2/+3 "Class, let's have some quiet," I once said. "In this compound sentence, what part of speech is 'but'?" "The rear part, " shouts Mac.
that just killed me LOL - InuX, on 08/15/2008, -2/+3My aunt was in the same elevator as Bernie before he was even famous. She had no idea who this guy was, until later that night he performed.
- SurlyDuff, on 08/15/2008, -1/+2Your comment relates entirely to the reaction to your comment...so yes, very post-modern, but definitely pointless.

I don't think any of the other people you mentioned before Hitler tried to exterminate an entire race, enslave people, run experiments on them, and generally try to find the quickest and most efficient way of killing them.
Neither did any of the other people you mention take the world to war because he thought he should be the ruler of everyone.
There's a pretty big difference between a psychopath bent on world domination and someone that has risen to in their chosen career that just happens to bring entertainment and joy to others. - Eezyville, on 08/14/2008, -1/+2I imagined myself in that class holding my laughter in. Put a big smile on my face.
- inactive, on 08/16/2008, -0/+1Carlin just ceased to exist. Bernie was black, so he's probably in limbo. Pryor was black and became a mentally handicapped person, he's definitely rotting in Hell.
- fuze44, on 08/16/2008, -0/+1Stop the celebrity worship.
- bohemian03, on 08/15/2008, -1/+2i love this. :D RIP Bernie.
- Visual77, on 08/15/2008, -2/+2My problem is with how the whole world seems to start sucking the ***** of whoever died.
Guess what?
Heath Ledger wasn't that good of an actor (although him as Joker was amazing).
Bernie Mac wasn't that funny.
That kid who got killed in a school shooting wasn't always "bright, friendly, loved by everybody".
Hitler was an amazing person. A true leader, a revolutionary who guided Germany through dark times.
Why can't we do it for him, too? He's dead. Let's blow him. - BatmanStan, on 12/09/2008, -0/+0Yes so sad.
http://godzillafiguresblog.com - JimTharley, on 12/02/2008, -0/+0Sad to see Bernie go :(

- inactive, on 08/15/2008, -4/+3It was bad American food that killed him. If he had eaten healthy, he would've had a strong immune system and not let pneumonia kill him.
- Nicole2010, on 08/15/2008, -1/+0wow. i really like this story about him.
it shows how something like what he
did can affect someones life forever. - WombleSlayer, on 08/15/2008, -8/+2Don't mind me, this is just one of those comments that everyone thinks is stupid and pointless which gets dugg down to oblivion.
- Visual77, on 08/15/2008, -7/+1Dying didn't suddenly make him funny....
Oh wait, we can't ever say anything bad about someone who checked out, can we?
