- hoopadoo, on 10/20/2007, -0/+6Is this for real? Dugg for the image alone! :D
- SlamShut, on 10/22/2007, -4/+9Do they make the models walk the entire wall? I'd pay to watch that. A bunch of vacuous, underweight harpies with empty eyes crawling along the brickway on hands and knees... FOR FASHION! SUFFER FOR IT, YOU WORTHLESS WHORES!
- snowygal18, on 10/22/2007, -0/+4That wall is steep as hell-- it's practically vertical at parts. I guess they don't need to go on the Stairmaster after this...
- nowsourcing, on 10/20/2007, -0/+3yes, it's real. Reuters did a story on it - http://www.reuters.com/article/lifestyleMolt/idUSL ...
- nowsourcing, on 10/20/2007, -0/+3Fendi is really trying to make a push in China and expects to grow its business there by 50% this year - http://online.wsj.com/article/SB119278689438764715 ...
- ponstars, on 10/24/2007, -2/+4"I'm too sexy for the Great Wall"
- ChimpFlix, on 10/20/2007, -1/+3This is a cool idea, but don't get the impression that China would have balked at the idea, it was only a matter of bribing the right officials. Those in the Chinese government will do anything for the right amount of RMB.
- inactive, on 10/20/2007, -0/+1No big news.. the great wall has been used for just about anything - if you want to check something really cool: Danny Way ollies over the great wall: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdamrGj7bsg // (Not so cool) David Copperfield walks through Great Wall: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtG6t6LcNAU
- Calcularius, on 10/21/2007, -1/+2Damn, those models are going to be tired! Then they have to turn around and walk all the way back!
- w3bsmith, on 10/20/2007, -0/+1That's almost as good as Danny Way's ollie over the Great Wall : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdamrGj7bsg
If you could just combine the two that'd be great ;) ! - superrcat, on 10/20/2007, -0/+1This just in...a deal has been reached between Fendi and China for all Fendi items to be produced in the country...
- thatspsychotic, on 10/20/2007, -0/+1Best. Photoshop. Work. Ever.
lawl. - internetcoward, on 10/20/2007, -1/+1you are a moron.
- inactive, on 10/20/2007, -1/+1The fashion industry is really trying to be creative with their approach. Wonder what their line is going to be like...
- internetcoward, on 10/20/2007, -1/+1you realize that 'these communists' only survive because of us capitalists...
- YeahYeah00, on 10/24/2007, -0/+0Hands down it was pretty cool. Where would you stage a fashion show to top the Great Wall of China? That's what they're asking here:http://blogs.smarter.com/fashion/2007/10/24/fashio ...
I can't wait to see what people say. - ShrimpCrackers, on 10/23/2007, -1/+1I'm not sure if this is the right way. Fendi obviously hasn't bothered to check the significance. If you check the history of the Great Wall you'd realize that for every meter of its construction, an estimated 3 prisoners/slaves died. It was built by political prisoners, outcasts, and slaves of the various ancient Chinese kingdoms and dynasties. People were literally worked to death on purpose.
Will we have Chinese fashion show catwalks over our federal cemeteries or will we have fashion shows in the places in Germany that used to be concentration camps? Kind of tasteless. - kenvsryu, on 10/20/2007, -2/+1What china and cats? jk.
- internetcoward, on 10/20/2007, -4/+2This is awesomely degrading. A wall meant to keep out the Mongols now used in probably the most superficial and capitalistic art form known to man. My how the times have changed. This is hilarious. What's next, art openings in nuclear silos?
- inactive, on 10/23/2007, -3/+1Whatever degrade those communists get a dugg from me!
