- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -28/+212if only tom cruise was dead instead.
- Crazysticks, on 01/25/2008, -3/+123Anon works in mysterious ways.
- dinot, on 01/25/2008, -2/+64what I want to know is why you were translating " i miss heath ledger" to spanish in the first place.
- wastegas, on 01/25/2008, -0/+50They fixed it. :(
- somespecial, on 01/25/2008, -1/+36Strange, also if you put Tom Cruise in it, it translates to GERRY, which here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerry_(film) it means screw up
- quomen, on 01/25/2008, -13/+43I know we're crazy but do we really have to wish death?
- Rikushix, on 01/25/2008, -19/+49That's a cruel thing to say, even it's Tom Cruise. I can count on one hand people that I genuinely wish death upon. Shame on all of you that are digging him up.
Digg me down, but I'm being a lot more sensitive than you people who are so cavalier with your comments. - georgemason01, on 01/25/2008, -2/+30Attention Google: At least one Scientologist mole has infiltrated your establishment. Initiate lockdown. Code Red.
- otis12, on 01/25/2008, -0/+26We need to Googlebomb Tom Cruise to Meatspin
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -0/+14must be a conspiracy...
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -5/+19The answer is yes.
- AshamedAmerican, on 01/25/2008, -3/+17Then at least the talented one would still be alive.
- Tiak, on 01/25/2008, -0/+12Tom Cruise Killed in attempt use his OT8 powers to take over the body of Heath Ledger
- danielsousa, on 01/25/2008, -0/+12I work for google in the machine translation group (proof www.danielsousa.info,) and we fixed the bug already. We also got Naomi Watts translating to Penelope Cruz, it was due to a page on Yahoo image search which is used as web data. the canonical actors used on that line are different in English and Spanish.
- BlakeEM, on 01/25/2008, -0/+11I don't wish death on anyone and I though the joke was hilarious. So who would you kill? Would you do it your self?
- Ryan0617, on 01/25/2008, -1/+11Who cares
- FirstDigg, on 01/25/2008, -1/+11Yes, yes they did... And because of this new digg algorithm, this story got 182 diggs so far and still has not hit the front page. When it finally does (if it does) people now wont be able to try it out. :( But it really was like this all day!
- darkphenox, on 01/25/2008, -0/+9Having a conversation with a Spanish person through IM.
- FatLoser, on 01/25/2008, -1/+10"Digg me down, but I'm being a lot more sensitive than you people..."
I think that depends on who those people are you want dead. - SniperZero, on 01/25/2008, -2/+11No you could go kill him for us?
- ErrorS, on 01/25/2008, -1/+10You guys act like wishing death upon someone is the worst possible thing you could do.. We're not actually trying to kill the people, we're just hoping they'll die on their own and stop bothering us, what's so wrong with that?
Not that I wish death upon Tom Cruise, he's too damn entertaining. - mcgarry83, on 01/25/2008, -3/+1168.178.153.227 (We found the direct IP to www.scientology.org, not protected by Prolexic
- DemonWasp, on 01/25/2008, -0/+6You are not Samuel L. Jackson, and in all likelihood, you are not an angry black man, so you can't be nearly as awesome as Jackson.
- atb112, on 01/25/2008, -3/+8random scientology comment
- cs188, on 01/25/2008, -0/+5The initial error might have been fixed, but NOW translate this from Spanish to English, see what you get:
"Voy a comer Tom Cruise." - pitlord, on 01/25/2008, -3/+8FTA:"…but cracking jokes or hinting at Scientology conspiracies just doesn't seem all that fitting."
>.>
I smell something fishy here. I know there are Scientologists working for Google, I wonder how many work for cnet.
o.o - Tarkaan, on 01/25/2008, -0/+5I will eat Brad Pitt.
- elementfire, on 01/25/2008, -0/+54chan is that way. --->
- OhHarrow, on 01/25/2008, -0/+5"Voy a perder Heath Ledger" .... didnt work for me
- Samsong, on 01/25/2008, -2/+7Then you've learned nothing from Digg...
- plinstrot, on 01/25/2008, -0/+5that is the worst movie I have ever seen in my life.
- DinosWillDie13, on 01/25/2008, -0/+4your already like the tenth.
- DigiDave, on 01/25/2008, -0/+4What I want to know is the story behind whoever found this out.
- ThreeDee912, on 01/25/2008, -1/+5Some Scientologists probably grouped together and tried to bury it.
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -1/+5i see what they did there.......... nahhh, just kidding... actually I don't
- moskaudancer, on 01/25/2008, -0/+4Most lols are pretty nice, but yours left me wanting more.
- atbnet, on 01/25/2008, -0/+3It actually says "I'm going to lose Tom Cruise" It would be better "Voy a extrañar Tom Cruise"
- v1c1ous, on 01/25/2008, -0/+3staring hard into space and raising your voice when you talk does not equal good acting
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -0/+3Or echaré Tom Cruise de menos.
- Carthagefield, on 01/25/2008, -0/+3Ha, this is no conspiracy. Google has a feature on google translated pages (check in "lanquage Tools") whereby the user can submit a "better translation". I'm guessing if a word or phrase is altered enough times, the new translation will replace the old one. Hit the link below, and hold the cursor above a line of text to bring up the untranslated original line. At the bottom of the box you should see what i'm talkin' about. Some kid/scientologist is just up to shenanigans methinks.
http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F ... - rubaaan, on 01/25/2008, -0/+3dammit. i just registered to post what you just said. hahahah.
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -0/+3Digg (diggea?) este cuento.
- DupontNumber24, on 01/25/2008, -0/+3I don't know. He has been acting like he is straight for a long time now and has most people fooled. That should count for something.
- estacado, on 01/25/2008, -0/+3Anonymous at work.
- londubh, on 01/25/2008, -0/+2It's all Xenu's fault.
- CoachZed, on 01/25/2008, -0/+2I'd say that dying at 28 years old and leaving a kid behind constitutes "tragic."
- rumbl3r, on 01/25/2008, -0/+2And how is this news? Who gives a ***** stick?
- SniperXPX, on 01/25/2008, -1/+3Correction: Code oe
- gueritabonita, on 01/25/2008, -0/+2Tragedy aside, I wouldn't mind losing Tom Cruise as the bad translation suggests.
