- rabidmonkey1, on 12/05/2007, -24/+536If he did...then everything we've been told by the current administration about the War(s) in the middle east, beyond a shadow of a doubt, is a sham. That, and I'm never eating McDonalds again. Because Morgan Spurlock owns the world.
- Secret7000, on 12/05/2007, -30/+346The US government has no interest in capturing Osama Bin Laden. He is the embodiment of terrorism... of everything bad, of the wolves at the door of every American citizen, the constant vague threat that makes people trade freedom for feeling safe. If he was killed or captured, the so-called War on Terror would have no apparent direction. And how would that help the Bush Oil Wars?
- inactive, on 12/05/2007, -10/+263If this is somehow true, Spurlock just gave up $25 Million (the reward for Osama) in hopes of making it back in film profits.
- 89vision, on 12/05/2007, -13/+258If this were true Mr Spurlock would mysteriously disappear.
- Tangeuray, on 12/05/2007, -11/+200Ironically our CIA just outed our President for LYING basically...........................
- SiNN4R, on 12/05/2007, -4/+185He lured him out of the caves with a trail of big macs.
- 68024, on 12/05/2007, -11/+176Mneh. this is probably just a ploy to generate interest in his documentary...
- TheNik, on 12/05/2007, -10/+157He'd make much more than that in revenue if this is true. :P
Sadly, our Administration will probably arrest him for suspected terrorism. :/ - Nico_, on 12/05/2007, -11/+136I'm looking forward to his new documentary, I really enjoyed Super size Me. But no way he "found" Osama Bin Laden. This is stupid hype and will only lead to a bunch of disappointed whining from people who actually fall for this..
- JustinTense, on 12/05/2007, -7/+110You fools, Morgan Spurlock IS Osama Bin Laden.
- MerryMortician, on 12/05/2007, -12/+104had he found bin laden I'm sure I would not have heard about this on Digg first.
- chris9902, on 12/05/2007, -1/+81I'm guessing he wasn't just sitting on a park bench waiting to be kidnapped.
- MikeonTV, on 12/05/2007, -3/+57I still think eating McDonald's for a month is crazier.
- proliance, on 12/05/2007, -24/+72He found the person responsible for murdering 3000 people and decided the best thing to do is make a movie?
I doubt it. - Kythas, on 12/05/2007, -9/+57No way he found bin Laden. Forget the money - the accolades he'd receive from the American people would easily replace any difference in profits between the $25 million and whatever the film may make. Hell, he'd be set for life and would get to do any film he wanted simply on reputation alone. There would be parades. Playboy Playmates would throw themselves at him and he'd be partying with Hugh Hefner himself. He'd become an American icon and hero.
Of course, the Muslims would issue a fatwa on his life, but hey - that's the price you pay, right? - Kythas, on 12/05/2007, -2/+46And this, friends, is why we don't use Babelfish.
- spearce, on 12/05/2007, -1/+42reconcile they only true, but, will now believe cats can has cheeseburger? certainly a must to consume cheeseburger, perfect and strong boned, like goose.
- protogenxl, on 12/05/2007, -5/+42A noted Kazakhstan official attending the festival was quoted as saying the film "Is Nice"
- doctordbx, on 12/05/2007, -13/+46If he learnt one thing from Supersize me... hype sells! SSMe was good, but didn't live up to the hype. If you eat McDonalds, 3 times a day, for 30 days you get fat.... no ***** *****.
- Phrag, on 12/05/2007, -11/+41You are assuming that this administration would actually pay the reward which I find unlikely, especially when the person they would be paying is considered to be a 'liberal'.
- dafragsta, on 12/05/2007, -3/+30What difference does that make? Could they not pose a real CIA agent as a member of his crew, or better yet, another documentary maker? Any way you look at his motives, it would still speak volumes that a civilian tracked him down where an entire government can't.
- neverender, on 12/05/2007, -0/+26Dont you mean JHC?
- ipxodi, on 12/05/2007, -1/+26Oh wow. You could be right -- Think about it:
You never see them both in the same place at the same time! - pehpsi, on 12/05/2007, -7/+31Of course It's to gain publicity. No-one found Bin *****' Ladin.
But good on him, It's working, because now I'm interested and can't wait to see it. I enjoy Morgan's work. - Frei, on 12/05/2007, -14/+38If it's on the internet it must be true, especially from those reliable sources.
- inactive, on 12/05/2007, -8/+31We're talking about American lives here, not some worthless Iraqi lives.
/sarcasm - thcobbs, on 12/05/2007, -11/+33Or it could be that because he wasn't trying to KILL OBL, he might have been allowed to get much closer. Also, since he's not under political control that the military is, he could move with more freedom.
- jambox, on 12/05/2007, -4/+26Hardly the first time he's got caught telling porkies.
- motbob, on 12/05/2007, -3/+25It is more likely that the conclusion of the documentary is that Mr. bin Laden is dead. If bidding was fierce for the documentary then it is likely that Mr. Spurlock has proof of some kind.
- Charlotte_Web, on 12/05/2007, -3/+22OBL: Eetz an American CIA agent! Keel heem!
MS: No, I'm just a filmmaker who wants to reveal your super-secret hiding place!
OBL: Oh, ok. Carry on, theen. - Kythas, on 12/05/2007, -5/+23Technically, it's this: if you consume more calories per day than you burn, you gain fat. It doesn't matter what the hell you eat. Conversely, if you burn more calories than you consume, you lose fat. I never can understand why people can't grasp this concept.
- scottc, on 12/05/2007, -2/+20Why would he risk his life for a $25 million reward when he can make a lot of money by just making a film?
- arobar, on 12/05/2007, -0/+17Can you cite a source here? That seems like a ridiculous claim. A group of kids eat McDonalds day in and day out, and don't exercise at all, and they LOSE weight?
- Reese268, on 12/05/2007, -3/+20And that is when everyone should protest en masse. No true patriotic American would stand for that.
- Frei, on 12/05/2007, -0/+17It's like lyrics to a Nirvana song.
- oldhick, on 12/05/2007, -9/+25Here's how it works in the real world ***** for brains. You make an absolutely ridiculous and unfounded claim based off some ***** video snippets tied together with some ***** editing and we don't have to do ***** but laugh at you.
The burden is on YOU to prove your BS beyond a shadow of a doubt. We're not going to waste our time disproving every bs theory by every Internet nut job. - MindTrigger, on 12/05/2007, -3/+19I often wonder what kind of ***** sponge-head people lay in bed at night and fear Osama Bin *****. Then I drive to work and have to share the roads with these morons, and it all becomes clear.
- inactive, on 12/05/2007, -1/+17One man's sarcasm is another man's truth.
- dondara, on 12/05/2007, -4/+20And it's bad business to kill your partners son
- GoodDamon, on 12/05/2007, -7/+23"...where an entire government won't."
Fixed that for ya. - bulkhater, on 12/05/2007, -6/+21Technically, I think the term is "Treason" as by helping to conceal Bin Laden's location he's providing aid to the enemy, if Bin Laden is still alive.
If this isn't just hype, then he probably found Bin Laden's grave, or managed to track his movements over the course of a few years. His ability to do even that much would throw a lot of egg in the face of the CIA and the Bush Administration. - cyberdork, on 12/05/2007, -0/+15So what about CIA field agents? Especially under the current administration they have much more freedom to move than an ordinary citizen like Spurlock.
- michaelb1, on 12/05/2007, -1/+15as opposed to now, when the war HAS an apparent direction.
- slapded, on 12/05/2007, -3/+16no.. if you eat 5000 calories a day, you get fat. i can get fat on whole wheat bread and chicken, just like i can lose weight on an all krispy kreme diet.
- marcomc2, on 12/05/2007, -7/+20do you people really believe that the Bushes dont know where Osama is?
- sindex, on 12/05/2007, -1/+14People can't grasp this concept because it's easier to demonize a corporation and blame them for one's complete lack of will power and willingness to exercise than it is to look at yourself and say, "Man, I'm a fat *****. I should get off this couch and take a walk."
America has lost its way regarding personal responsibility. - lithera, on 12/05/2007, -1/+14Propaganda is worth just as much to OBL as it is for the U.S.
I don't think he would truly object to a mass medium to reach the western world. The big question for him would be, which journalist is to be trusted enough to let near him without ratting him out.
I personally don't think Morgan had a up-close-and-personal with OBL but I would not be suprised if someday some western journalist has gained enough trust to do so. - hogger84, on 12/05/2007, -2/+14Its one thing to meet him, quite another to get out and pass relevent information on to goverment. Say they met in a remote location spurlock under armed guard for 24 hours, even 1 week either side. That info is not worth much.
Then again I don't think Osama would let an american anywhere near him. - insllvn, on 12/05/2007, -5/+17For some strange reason, I can only think of one thing when I hear patriotic nationalist ***** like that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rq2_YKQGE_U I remember thinking that same way just after 9/11, rallying behind the flag calling for the deaths of our enemies and anyone who seemed remotely sympathetic. Then I calmed down and began to think rationally again. The anger passed, and I was able to recognize that we are not white nights or the world police just because some crazy ass hats flew planes into a building. We are NOT under siege. Give it a goddamn rest.
