All sympathy from me is now gone & I hope they lose their life savings on attorneys fees.- knupso, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5That's insane, way to try and capitalize on you sons death douche bag.
All the others should sue him for being a incompetent father that raises a son that drank and drove. - umdigger, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6"Authorities said the 29-year pitcher had a blood content of nearly twice the legal limit for alcohol in his system when he crashed into the back of the tow truck. He was also speeding, using a cell phone and wasn't wearing a seat belt, Police Chief Joe Mokwa said after the accident. Marijuana also was found in the SUV."
Somehow I don't see this guy as a very smart person. Driving drunk itself is retarded, but doing so with pot, no seat belt, speeding, and on the phone. I think I hear Darwin calling...

- kurtmac, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1This is so sad. The father is obviously in denial and is looking to blame someone other than his own son. I have to agree with the previous comments. The father should allow the grieving process to proceed. Unfortunately he will only delay it and make it that more painful (publicity to this tragic event) for himself and the family. ALL 3 suits should be dismissed immediately and the father (family) made to pay for all attorney and court fees. Agreement with nickst's comments, all sympathy that I previously had is now gone too. Bad things happen to those who are not responsible for their OWN actions.
- TheTSArt, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2This story sickens me. The father should be trying to make something positive come out of this situation, instead all he is in it for is the money. This is probably and example of why his son turned out so badly.
I hope the defendants counter-sue and win whatever remains of Hancock's money.
Perhaps I should sue Hancock's estate myself, I was out driving that night, and him being on the road drugged-up and intoxicated could have endangered my life. Makes more sense than this stupid suit does. - jasonprussell, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Josh DESERVED to die, thankfully he didn't kill anyone else. His dad should be ashamed of himself and his son. If I were the tow company, I'd counter-sue. When the hell are people going to start taking responsibility for themselves?

Apparently never.
