- MrSkills, on 02/25/2009, -1/+61David Cameron is the leader of the Opposition in the UK (so potentially might be next Prime Minister).
- inactive, on 02/25/2009, -1/+39So sad for such a young child to have to deal with such hardship for his entire short life.
- NervousEnergy, on 02/25/2009, -0/+30Whatever party you support, it is always tragic when a child dies. My heart really goes out to David Cameron and his family, I can't quite believe what they must be feeling right now. It really is amazing to see what they have done for Ivan. Being a carer for my grandparents, who were both disabled, myself, I know what it is like to take part in round-the-clock care. It is very difficult, and it takes a lot out of you. The way they have coped is incredible. My heartfelt support goes out to his family, even if I disagree with him politically, and I wish him the very best of luck.
- bilbohicks, on 02/25/2009, -3/+32What is it with Digg and the Daily Mail? It's the single worst newspaper in the UK and yet it's Diggers favourite UK news source? I've seen more credible reporting by The Onion.
- TheEpicChocobo, on 07/28/2009, -1/+24It's always sad when someone's kid dies.
- Darkaged, on 02/25/2009, -6/+27He's the leader of our Conservative party.
(Our Conservatives aren't as bat-***** crazy as yours) - michaelpinto, on 02/25/2009, -0/+20I read this article — it was heartbreaking to see he photo of his family and to imagine everything that they must be going through.
- inactive, on 02/25/2009, -30/+47Who?
- infinitus64, on 02/25/2009, -1/+17so that would be every death.
- unitedkronos, on 02/25/2009, -1/+17I wish, we need some more crazy in England, like Boris Johnson.
- MrEkul, on 02/25/2009, -0/+11Why is this under the entertainment section?
- powatom, on 02/25/2009, -2/+12His son did actually die though...
- Hazz90, on 02/25/2009, -1/+11I have seen about 4 daily mail stories on the front page today. Who the hell is going around submitting stories from this piece of crap paper? There must be some bot involved in all this, that or the mail are paying for their stories to get on the front page. JUST STOP IT! I don't come to Digg to see some tabloid news story on the front page. This is the internet! Don't bring that ***** here. Thanks.
- Mawds, on 02/26/2009, -0/+9Without us Brits on digg.com, it might be *****.
You need us and you will miss us if we leave.
Also digg.co.uk just doesn't work, plus it's being used by some Scottish people. - ShootTheCore, on 02/25/2009, -3/+11http://lmgtfy.com/?q=david+cameron
We know all your major political players, you should at least know our leader of the opposition... - nofx1510, on 02/25/2009, -0/+8You should never have to outlive your children.
My condolences go out to the family. - unitedkronos, on 02/25/2009, -0/+8Though I don't agree with Cameron on most political issues, this is a tragedy and my wishes are with him and his family.
- KyloOb, on 02/25/2009, -0/+8Terrible.. A parent should never see their child die.
- AlexTommo, on 02/25/2009, -0/+7Someone is always someone else's kid.
Kid is just like a slang term for offspring. - NervousEnergy, on 02/25/2009, -0/+7Unfortunately, I think that if I 'gave a crap' about every child who dies over the world I would quite possibly go insane from grief. Don't get me wrong, I wish that they didn't die. I wish that no one person would die if it could be helped. Any unneeded death is tragic and a terrible event. But, this thread is on David Cameron's loss, not the children who have died in the last few minutes; as much as I wish they hadn't.
- Nayson, on 02/25/2009, -0/+7No
- MrARPA, on 02/25/2009, -0/+7>It's the single worst newspaper in the UK
I think other tabloids are vying for that position, though I agree there is something funny going on between some (right wing ?) Diggers and the Daily Mail/Telegraph. - Pooley, on 02/25/2009, -0/+7It's a despicable paper, no doubt, but straightforward reporting is OK. It's the comment you need to watch out for. That's truly odious.
- StigNordas, on 02/25/2009, -0/+6Just tragic.
- honeymustardn, on 02/26/2009, -0/+6Hehe, americans are a silly bunch.
- HigherLogic, on 02/25/2009, -2/+8Not really the same thing. I'd wager most people in other countries know about our top officials because of the influence we have in the world, it doesn't work the other way around...
- bilbohicks, on 02/26/2009, -2/+8Agreed.
Submit stories from a PROPER newspaper like the Daily Sport or something. This Daily Mail is far too wishy-washy liberal for my liking. - ZombieKiss, on 02/25/2009, -3/+8Unfortunately some sooner than others.
- MasterGrief, on 02/25/2009, -0/+5HigherLogic, I think it sounds a bit arrogant, but I agree with you.
Americans should be more aware of politics in other countries, but when you think you're at the top, why should you care? People in America don't even care about their own country's politics. Look where that's gotten us.
At the very least, I wish we had more major coverage of Mexican and Canadian government news. - inactive, on 02/25/2009, -0/+5Not James Cameron.
- RaveRaveRave, on 02/25/2009, -0/+5look I usually never stop ripping into this idiot. But lets throw politics out the window if just for a while, my thourghts go out to his family. Its never fair when a kid gets took this young.
- unitedkronos, on 02/25/2009, -0/+5There was bound to be one.
- inactive, on 02/25/2009, -4/+8Not quite....
- roodammy44, on 02/26/2009, -1/+5You could care less?
Well it's nice to know you care, but it makes your statement kind of confusing.
Fair enough if you don't know our politics, but it'd be nice if you knew our language. - CannedMango, on 02/25/2009, -1/+5Who's the ***** who took their picture?
Apparently there's no occasion so horrifying that the paparazzi will choose to let the people affected grieve in peace. - diblasio, on 02/25/2009, -0/+4I love you internet tough guy! <3
- Gr00ver, on 02/25/2009, -1/+5Rest in peace Ivan Cameron.
It's heartbreaking to know such an innocent child had such a hard, short life.
Our thoughts are with you and your parents. - inactive, on 02/25/2009, -1/+5Yes
- Fishn2, on 02/25/2009, -0/+4News of the world
- JackSrenton, on 02/25/2009, -1/+4that cant be too hard.
- glaz, on 02/25/2009, -0/+3Why are people asking if we thought that David Cameron was James Cameron?
- xaeon, on 02/26/2009, -0/+3@unitedkronos
He's a special kind of crazy, though. - littlenan, on 02/26/2009, -0/+3Unfortunately, we keep asking ourselves that. But whoever he is, his loss of a child is tragic and I do feel for him.
Oh yes, he is the leader of the UK Main Opposition Party, the Conservatives. - h0dges, on 02/26/2009, -0/+2http://lmgtfy.com/?q=david+cameron&l=1
- Otnehs, on 02/25/2009, -0/+2Regardless of how credible they might be, I'm pretty sure this is legit.
- Biscuitz, on 02/25/2009, -2/+4When is it your turn?
- MrARPA, on 02/25/2009, -1/+3The leader of the Conservative Party, the Official Opposition (to the Labour goverment).
- twotimesthru, on 02/25/2009, -2/+4Yes, very sad... And David Cameron is a really great family man, I hate to see this happen to anyone.
- solid12345, on 02/26/2009, -0/+2Honesty is a virtue.
