- Sylocat, on 05/02/2009, -7/+34Penn can dish it out, but he sure can't take it...
- tmeaster, on 05/02/2009, -13/+38Penn Jillette is a tool. I think it was more"Crimefighter" they were making fun of then "Moxie".
How can you give you kid the middle name "Crimefighter" - OrangeTide, on 05/02/2009, -1/+25Moxie is a great first name, but Crimefighter is a terrible middle name.
I think we just hold Penn to higher standards than the rappers and idiot actors who have been naming their kids stupid things for years. - Jordan117, on 05/03/2009, -1/+19I knew a girl in grade school.
Her parents: Herman, Cassandra.
Her name?
Hermandra. - webgeek2point0, on 05/03/2009, -0/+16We call him Little Bobby Tables.
- NinjaGod, on 05/02/2009, -1/+15Oh come on!
No one would ever name their child Apple.

Penn explains his kids names. He admits he is a nut, but thinks middle names are stupid. I don't really see a point to middle names either.
I think he actually mentions one of my online aliases (DotPaulish) in that one because I asked the question. - Fhwqhgads, on 05/02/2009, -1/+14Speaking of retarded names: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohXn8WKpYaA
- ricoboy24, on 05/02/2009, -1/+13Yeah, ***** you Dave.
- foltaggio, on 05/03/2009, -3/+15This is the best xkcd reference ever!
- Gr00ver, on 05/03/2009, -1/+12Dugg for the ***** Transformer.
- NiftyG, on 05/02/2009, -1/+12I wonder what Dweezil Zappa would say about this topic.
- DeadSkinMask, on 05/03/2009, -0/+10Dweezil has said before that he loves his name, and is glad is Dad gave it to him.
According to Frank Zappa'a Autobiography, Dweezil wanted to change his name when he was very young, but as he grew up, he also grew to like it. The other Zappa kids Loved their names.
He should just be happy Frank didn't name him "Bug".
Most people's names look a little strange when you include the FULL name. Being called Moon, Diva & Ahmet aren't THAT weird if you think about it...
Also, Dugg for the Zap-Man. - nullx42, on 05/02/2009, -2/+12I think it was mostly because it was his daughter. Not saying how he acted was ok, but I can understand why he acted that way.
- Zihuatanejo, on 05/03/2009, -0/+10Dave's not here, man.
- eMadman, on 05/03/2009, -2/+11They forgot Frank Zappa's kids.
Hw had four children. All with weird names: Moon Unit, Dweezil, Ahmet Emuukha Rodan and Diva Thin Muffin Pigeen
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_zappa - nerdherder, on 05/02/2009, -0/+8He found it on cracked.com
- CrackedEIC, on 05/03/2009, -0/+8Actually they seem to fit in pretty well if you mix them in with a list of transformer names
Skywarp
Thundercracker
Sunstorm
Dirge
Rogue
Ramjet
Thrust
Prima
Prime Nova
Diezel Ky
Bluestreak
Ratchet
Mirage
Racer
Alcamy
Moonracer
Audio Science

Bumper - twiztidsinz, on 05/03/2009, -1/+9Are you implying that Moon Unit, Ahmet Emuukha Rodan and Diva Thin Muffin Pigeen are all normal names?
- Pxtl, on 05/03/2009, -3/+10Racer
Rogue
Puma
Diezel Ky
Alcamy
Audio Science
I cant' speak to the My Little Ponies, but they're clearly offbase if they think these are Transformer names. These are clearly X-Men names, not Transformers. Transformers generally are either named for automotive terminology that is only peripherally related to the character (eg. Wheeljack), or, if it's an important transformer, a convoluted mess of latin (eg. Ultra Magnus).
Only X-men get short names like "Puma" and "Racer". - NickLee808, on 05/03/2009, -0/+6To be fair, Penn doesn't give a crap about middle names.
- MasterGrief, on 05/03/2009, -0/+6I knew a girl named Mary.
Her last name?
Derryberry. - jordanlgta, on 05/03/2009, -0/+6*generic positive comment regarding George Carlin*
- atm259, on 05/03/2009, -0/+6I like your enthusiasm.
- inactive, on 05/03/2009, -2/+7To be fair to Bruce Willis, Scout is the name of the little girl in To Kill a Mockingbird, but that still doesn't excuse Piper and Tallulah
- graemee, on 05/03/2009, -1/+5On his radio show, sadly no more, He explained it was to be a joke if she ever got pulled over by a cop. That way she could say she was a crimefighter too.
Yeah, that weird. - SmooveO, on 05/02/2009, -2/+6Penn Jillette needs to do a Bea Arthur impression.
- inactive, on 05/02/2009, -3/+6Dugg for Penn Jillette
- hotpuck6, on 05/03/2009, -0/+3***** that's annoying to say.

- inactive, on 05/02/2009, -1/+3Audio Science?...sounds like one of Soundwave's cassettes.
- 5celery, on 05/03/2009, -1/+3This article sucks very much. ***** Dave, as well.
- Cannonballkid, on 05/03/2009, -1/+3I like the bit on naming kids after places in the city. If I met a guy named Brooklyn I'd prob laugh in his face. The only ppl that could pull off city names were the Gargoyles =p
- hotpuck6, on 05/03/2009, -0/+2Moon Unit is totally a transformer.
- CleoQKazoo, on 05/03/2009, -0/+1When I was little that made me sad too. my name is Analise and I could never even find Ana with one n. damn them

These aint too bad. - inactive, on 05/04/2009, -0/+1Ok, Tallulah, maybe. Piper...I just can't get on board with it.
- cheerfulcynic, on 05/03/2009, -0/+1i actually prefer digg's comment system, for reading the dialog from the internets about that content.
i can't tell you how many times recently i've been reading comments somewhere and automatically went to dig a comment up or down, and realized i wasnt on digg. - RyomaNagare, on 05/03/2009, -0/+1maybe they meant "Rogue Racer"... that sounds more transformerish
- Chalks777, on 05/03/2009, -0/+1banjo legs rule.
- vickers500, on 06/19/2009, -0/+1They should have named their child Soda. Beautiful name.
