- cmasense, on 08/21/2008, -2/+9Oh my...does Johnny Boy think the nation will just give him a pass? McCain is making my nerves on edge, he has that too slick grin, that bad man laugh. Anyone who thinks that John Boy has America's best in his heart better think again. Could it be that he decided a long time ago that life owed him? Owed him better sex, a wife that was not injured? He cheated on Carol who faithfully loved him while he was a POW. Wake up people! Being a POW does not qualify you to be President! What legacy does John McCain offer to America? Cheating, lying, shame, rewriting history? Rewriting Carol's life for her?
He is still lying about the timeline...he was cheating on Carol with Cindy while he still lived with Carol! And someone wants to trust this man with the White House? I will not vote for McCain, no one should. Let him keep his SEVEN houses, and live in them...not the White House too! John and Cindy, take your lie of a marraige, and your beer money and go enter a beauty contest to see if you could both be the winner of the dried piece of crap buffalo chip contest! Go Away!- cindymama, on 08/21/2008, -1/+2you know that John MUST think he'll get a free pass. But, his obscene behavior is no different that Cindy McCain's father's behavior. Jim Hensley was married when he met Cindy's mother...and had an affair w/her. Left his wife and daughter and married Cindy's mother. Cindy McCain is not an only child and her behavior mimicked the behavior of her own mother. Good, strong American values...good wife and mother...yep, that's the McCain family! This is 'flip-flop' in the MORAL, not political, sense.
- meese, on 08/21/2008, -2/+9They should have asked Cindy "so was Carol not a good wife and a good mother?"
- xine13, on 08/21/2008, -1/+8What I couldn't believe was Cindy's comment on being the "good wife amd good mother". It's too much like "I've always been proud of my country". Does she really think she's better that everyone else? Oh and BTW, those stretches of tarmac in Arizona are not runways for your plane, they're called ROADS!!! People drive, and take the bus on them.
- Canada4Obama, on 08/21/2008, -2/+7Mcain is so out of touch with reality, he is a spoiled kid who thinks he can have everything he wants, his first wife was it best, i needed someone who was forty John behaved like he was 20. It was not just one affair it was several according to John himself.
This is a guy who:
- Thinks over $5M is rich
- Wears $3000 Italian shoes
- Does not know how many houses he owns
- Thinks the economy is just fine
- Flies around in his private jet
See what happens when you elect a rich out of touch person to the WH
http://thepoliticalcarnival.blogspot.com/2008/08/a ... - DeeKres, on 08/21/2008, -1/+7The problem is that McCain does NOT talk about his cheating. He makes conclusory statements, "The failure of my first marriage was my greatest moral failing." or "It was completely my fault."
He doesn't explain it; describe it, or discuss it in anyway to know how he saw it to make sure he wouldn't make a similar mistake again. Then he puts on that cheesy smile, like too bad so sad about those days. It's very much like Bush on his alcoholism. You have no idea how he overcame the demons; what the process was; or how he viewed it. No assurances that it can't happen again. - Kashabear, on 08/21/2008, -0/+6McCain inappropriately smiles TWICE in this interview - once when he admits the breakup was his fault and once when he says he lied to Cindy about his age. What a complete SLEAZE!! That smile makes my skin crawl in disgust.
I would like to also repeat the sentiments of others ---- can you just imagine what the msm and the repubs would do with this if it were Obama who had an affair?? What a pukingly disgusting double standard.
How anyone, but especially women, can vote for this man, who trashes family values with every step, is beyond me. And all those conservatives who espouse family values -- where are their BRAINS!!- blyrehs, on 08/22/2008, -0/+1Kashabear- I agree with you completely. The inappropriate smiles are very strange. Are we sure he's actually a human?
- xine13, on 08/22/2008, -0/+2They already hung John Edwards out to dry. Repubs already own most of the t.v., radio and newspapers, so it's no surprise that they control what we see. There is no such thing as a free press anymore. At least we can still share information on the internets and the google.
- shadoturtl, on 08/22/2008, -0/+1note to McCain handlers. NEVER! let your candidate use the phrase "I lied" in any setting, in any interview. EVER. Are you kidding me? It's like they've never heard of youtube or....wait...nevermind.
forget the houses, forget the $5mil rich statement. The phrase "I lied" will do much more political damage. Karl Rove is pissed. This is Politics 101. - Poochy818, on 08/22/2008, -1/+0Come on now everybody. John McCain is an ex-POW, having been a POW, who was, as history has shown, a POW. I'm not sure we can judge a POW, like John McCain, for his actions after having been an American imprisoned in warfare, that is to say, a POW.
- macmax, on 08/22/2008, -0/+1How Christian.
