- bossm4n, on 04/12/2009, -1/+217Maybe they could hook up with Kanye and Chris Brown for the All Douchebag Tour.
- inactive, on 04/11/2009, -4/+207If he comes to New York, I might buy a ticket and go to the show. So I can throw things at him.
- inactive, on 04/12/2009, -0/+148His behavior in that radio interview will never be forgotten. Even his bandmates looked like they had enough of that *****.
- cjolley, on 04/12/2009, -2/+101Meh. He's just a douche. Trying desperately to create some publicity for an otherwise lackluster piece of music and a less than noteworthy period in his celebrity career.
- GutterBumber, on 04/13/2009, -0/+94Would you throw things at Tom Petty?
- morrissey79, on 04/12/2009, -9/+97Billy Bob's musical career is like Bacon without the maple syrup.
- rdldr1, on 04/11/2009, -5/+89Canadians like their poutine with gravy.
- Melodik, on 04/11/2009, -1/+80There is no poutine without gravy. Then it is just french fries and cheese.
- Stewart21, on 04/13/2009, -2/+58Good... we don't want that dick in our country!
- deathmatch, on 04/13/2009, -1/+51This is the video from the Q where Thorton has his quiet outburst.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJWS6qyy7bw
He was all offended by the inteviewer giving context to the segment by explaining that he was an actor.
***** actors, give em some fame and they think they are hot *****. - STBAT25, on 04/12/2009, -2/+51Billy Bob Thorton = http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q290/salesking/ ...
- BoneStamp, on 04/12/2009, -1/+49Although they cite sickness as the cause, he obviously canceled the tour because he was booed at the Concert that followed that interview. No more Canadian gravy for Billy Bob.
- acousticsean, on 04/13/2009, -0/+42Classifying yourself as "cosmic cowboy" music means nothing. It's schtick, you still play in 4/4 time, have 2 guitars a bass and drums, write mundane garbage songs and are way too old to be trying to live your rock and roll dreams. To be pissed that this guy on Q brought up your acting career is garbage, there's no chance in hell you'd be on tour with Willy Nelson if you were some random band on myspace playing "cosmic coyboy" music, at 50 years old. Stick to the tavern then *****. I'm done with this guy.
- inactive, on 04/13/2009, -4/+46Thornton is a spectacular ***** asshat and Jian Gomeshi is a spectacular ***** gentleman. Welcome to Canada. We may not say much but please don't piss us off.
- CoreyTamas, on 04/13/2009, -1/+39Even if you're a famous actor, you can't go to a place where you've never toured and where nobody knows your music and then say mean things about the people whom you'd like to buy tickets to your show on one of the most widely-listened-to radio stations in the country. There are a lot of jerks who get far in the music business, but there are limits even for them. Oasis wouldn't be able to get away with it. Radiohead wouldn't be able to get away with it. Madonna wouldn't be able to get away with it. It was a bad guess on Slingblade's part to think that Billy Bob and the Nobodyheardums could get away with it.
- andreegal, on 04/12/2009, -1/+37good riddance...
- ksgant, on 04/13/2009, -1/+34Kind of shows that the old saying "there's no such thing as bad publicity" is a crock of *****. He was an ass and he got what he deserved. I just feel kind of sorry for his bandmates who all look like they've had an ass-full of this guy.
- BassMastr, on 04/12/2009, -3/+36Guess he didn't go to the same places I went. I love going to Canada.
- concusion, on 04/13/2009, -2/+29Billy Bob is a huge douche. To even think he is in the same stratosphere as Tom Petty, and to be a huge douche on the radio like that..
- TheSevenDuffs, on 04/13/2009, -3/+28Haha! and then he'll get the ticket revenue and you'll be thrown out! That'll show him!
- frenchkick, on 04/13/2009, -0/+23with dane cook as the opener
- jojo186, on 04/12/2009, -2/+25what a douche
- Skeptica, on 04/12/2009, -3/+26Billy Bob is a fine actor, but he's a terrible singer. The fact that he could just cancel the tour means he didn't need the money. He was just making an ego trip. When his ego was bruised, not because of the Canadians, but because of his lack of talent, he got mad. As Clark Howard said, "do what you know." Billy Bob knows nothing about music.
- Ovrthtp, on 04/12/2009, -1/+22Yeah, that's literally like saying " Canadians like their hamburgers on buns"
- jcroweall7, on 04/13/2009, -0/+20...would Tom Petty cancel a tour for 'the flu?'
- LilJimmyNordin, on 04/13/2009, -2/+22I was a huge BBT fan after seeing Sling Blade, but the interview turned me right around. Thornton is an arrogant primadonna. If he thinks the mention of his acting career isn't the sole reason anyone would care in the slightest, then his years as a star have deprived him of a vital link to reality.
Sorry, Billy Bob... You were the only reason anyone gave a *****, and now you've ruined that. Have a nice trip back to the States, where I hope news of your ***** attitude makes things just as difficult for you. - acephreak, on 04/13/2009, -9/+28Wow. Jesus. Canadians are not gonna be able to sleep tonight.
/s - glaz, on 04/13/2009, -1/+18Everybody is accountable on the internet. Learn respect, Billy.
- soogy, on 04/13/2009, -8/+25I don't understand. So what you're saying is that his musical career is awesome, just not as sweet and delicious as it could be. Do I have that right?
- reiggin, on 04/13/2009, -5/+22Now, if we can only convince him to cancel all his movies as well.
- seanthebond, on 04/12/2009, -2/+19Did anyone else think that he was on some sort of drugs during that interview? His eyes looked like he was somewhere else, and he was acting incredibly strange. Plus I assume that the interview was in the morning as it is a morning talk show, so maybe he was doing some stuff the night before and it hadn't worn off yet.
Of course, he wouldn't admit to doing illegal drugs the night before; as I don't think that would help him out too much. - big666dog, on 04/13/2009, -0/+16There are no band mates. In his contract rider, the act is to be referred to in all signage and promotional material as "Billy Bob Thornton with Special Guests, The Boxmasters" (it's on the smokinggun.com site). This is an ego trip pure and simple, so an asshat who wants to pretend he has a music career. He was pissed off that a music journalist didn't want to support his fantasy.
- deathmatch, on 04/13/2009, -6/+22you are overthinking it
- Hoxie, on 04/13/2009, -1/+16Carlos Mencia can perform during intermission.
Michael Vick will put in a special guest appearance.
Rush Limbaugh can provide play by play coverage. - TdotFUNK, on 04/13/2009, -1/+16I listen to Q every morning. I'm glad he cancelled his Canadian leg of the tour. What a douche.
- nanowerx, on 04/13/2009, -2/+17Would you ask Tom Petty that question!???
- masterc, on 04/13/2009, -2/+17Why do canucks call americans yankees?
- rcm3, on 04/13/2009, -1/+16I feel bad for the other band members being sucked down by Billy-Bob's d-bagginess.
- hackiavelli, on 04/13/2009, -0/+15I think most two-year old bands with no charted singles would love that kind of exposure. Only a spoiled Hollywood actor would throw it all away (and for a couple sentences no less).
The best description I saw of the rest of the band was that they looked defeated and praying it will all stop soon, but also like they've dealt with Thorton's egomania many times before this. - WhoDoneIt, on 04/13/2009, -0/+15Try it with bacon, even better.
- inactive, on 04/13/2009, -3/+17I like mashed potatoes with a small bit of mint.
before you digg down, try it - Yage2006, on 04/13/2009, -1/+14Its more like bacon without being cooked.
- noumuon, on 04/13/2009, -0/+12this is my first time ever hearing about this poutine. there's absolutely nothing about the combination that doesn't sound like pure deliciousness.
- reiggin, on 04/13/2009, -0/+12Kevin Bacon... now there's an actor with a reasonable musical side-career
- oda1, on 04/13/2009, -0/+12I'm so hardcore, I don't care nor WANT you to mentioned my hollywood careers. Oscar? ***** off, don't talk about it. That's how hardcore I am.
the radio host did absolutely nothing wrong, he was just putting it into context. How many other billy bob's are out there? - peteyb1313, on 04/13/2009, -0/+12What is not to like about poutine?
Fries: Good
Cheese: Good
Gravy: Amazing
Combine those and you have sex on a fork, hell i would even pass up sex for a really good poutine - AmusedToDeath, on 04/13/2009, -0/+11Dude, I played with Tom Petty: I knew Tom Petty. Tom Petty was a friend of mine. BBT, you're no Tom Petty.
- BoneStamp, on 04/12/2009, -1/+12His bandmates could probably use the money.
- mmittimm, on 04/13/2009, -0/+11http://tinyurl.com/cfllfo
- slimkevi, on 04/13/2009, -0/+11That guy is a dick.
