- mpobri, on 04/10/2008, -8/+59Does anyone else get irked that Howard tries to claim no responsibility even though neither Artie nor Teddy wanted to discuss the argument? Teddy asked to leave 6 times, Robin agreed and tried to stop it, and suddenly Artie has an outburst, his 2nd physical outburst in the last 6 months.
Howard, grow up and take some responsibility. Look at your HowardTV opening, you're a ringleader with a menagerie of whack-packers and unstable characters surrounding you.
Artie's at fault for getting physical, but Howard has to take some responsibility for leading them into the ring. - PavDiddy, on 04/10/2008, -3/+50The power of The Stern Show.. Google Trends: #1 Search Term: Artie Lange: Link - http://www.google.com/trends/hottrends?sa=X
- ScaresBums, on 04/10/2008, -1/+38Irony: the bumper leading into the segment was an on air dispute between a news man and the editor to which Howard's comment was, "I love it when people fight on air"
- inactive, on 04/10/2008, -2/+35Listening to Artie on the Stern Show has been a real plesaure compared to Jackie-the-Jokeman.
- inactive, on 04/10/2008, -1/+28Cocaine.. Tomorrows energy today...
Artie Lange is a eulogy waiting to happen... - inactive, on 04/10/2008, -0/+26F. Jackie
- MikeonTV, on 04/10/2008, -1/+26I haven't heard it all yet however I do believe this will be diffused by the time they return from vacation (next week the show is off). Either that or the death of Lange.
- VivaLaUndead, on 04/10/2008, -3/+28my personal assistance sucks......WAHHHHHH
- mdavis, on 04/10/2008, -4/+28He'll be dead by Monday.
- celery, on 04/10/2008, -1/+23I heard a little of this in the morning. But, later at lunch when I flipped on the Howard 100 to listen to the replay, they weren't re-playing today's show. They were playing Monday's show. WTF?
I like Artie, but he is a total mess. Howard can't keep a guy like that around unless he cleans up his act. He would have been fired several times at a normal job. - inactive, on 04/10/2008, -1/+22"I'm gonna pour me a glass of jack, snort some coke and maybe do some smack."
- Artie Lange - sycsix, on 04/10/2008, -6/+25I heard a story like this once...
Any of you guys ever heard of Chris Farley? - jeff94, on 04/10/2008, -5/+20Show Torrents:

No a idiotic rickroll btw
Just a note - Howard 100 is not replaying the show, The Howardstern.com website isn't updated for today's episode and Sterfan network is down...weird - MillionsLivio, on 04/10/2008, -3/+16You obviously have never listened to the show. I used to feel the same way until he came on Sirius and I gave him a try, I haven't missed a show since. It's intelligent, funny, and raw, which is a relief from all of the politically correct-driven shows out there today.
- Mjeacoma, on 04/10/2008, -1/+13ok Imus
- zephyr42, on 04/10/2008, -1/+13wtf "2010 ford taurus" is number 5 for today?!

- jeff94, on 04/10/2008, -0/+11Speaking of HowardTV, they're NOT SHOWING THE FIGHT on tomorrow's show:
http://howard.tv/news/#ni47
THIS IS *****. - muleking, on 04/10/2008, -2/+124 days a week, $500 million dollars. Life is good.
- inactive, on 04/10/2008, -1/+11please don't let me wake up tomorrow to the news of artie's death.
- mkriss5681, on 04/10/2008, -3/+13I love Artie. He is a major reason why I continue to listen to Stern. He adds an average man perspective on the show. But, I can't feel that maybe it's time he moved on. If you listen to the show regularly you can tell the schedule of the show has been taking a tole on his mental and physical health. Maybe it's best for everyone if he takes a few weeks off and decided whether or not he wants to continue on. There have been a lot of other great comedians who have show interest in Atrie's chair like Greg Fitzsimons, Colin Quinn, and a few others. Maybe it's time to give another guy a shot if Artie doesn't want to.
- skoles, on 04/10/2008, -1/+11Yea, it was seriously scary hearing how it took a few people to hold him back I guess. Even caused Howard to get up out of his seat.
Tho....and as a loyal listener it hurts to say this, this sounds like a typical bit for radio. The last time, before a week vacation mind you, on a Thursday Artie got into that fight with Richard. Keeps you hanging & talking about it for the week they're gone. Which I hate. - Rosco, on 04/10/2008, -6/+16Radio Soap-Opera, Stern eggs this ***** on, he always has.
- longhair, on 04/10/2008, -1/+10Why did they NOT replay the show today?
- Klisk, on 04/10/2008, -1/+10People who realize it's more than just a gimmick? Which is millions of people?
Most people who don't listen to Stern only don't listen because they think it only revolves around boobs and strippers. Which it doesn't. At all. Nor does Howard set out "only to shock people". There is absolutely nothing shocking about the show. I'm not sure why people have that false impression. - unicornography, on 04/10/2008, -1/+10Hate to say it 'cause I really like Artie Lange, but that last line sounded like a suicide note.
- Fantonel, on 04/10/2008, -11/+20Artie is the greatest!
- Billistic, on 04/10/2008, -2/+10Greatest at what? His 10 year old stand up routine?
- scotticus, on 04/11/2008, -0/+8Because the people following around brittney spears and paris hilton are geniuses. Right.
- arigneysd, on 04/10/2008, -2/+10on the contrary.. you haven't heard him say "this is the hottest chick we've ever had in here" sounds like a compliment to me :)
- DteK, on 04/10/2008, -1/+9just listened, Artie is officially out of control. I think the Heroin has finally taken its toll.
- Klemgold, on 04/10/2008, -3/+11Stern isn't playing the replay, that's how bad it was in there I guess.
I heard the clip and the west coast feed...
http://tv.popcrunch.com/listen-artie-lange-quits-h ... That's the clip of the fight.
Artie needs to get healthy before he comes back. - gn0stik, on 04/10/2008, -1/+8Ya know, I didn't think anything like that until his last words there. "I'm not a good person, Howard, I love you."
That's the kind of thing that someone who's seriously self-destructive says.
To be honest though, I think He was right about Howard, in the lead up it sure seemed to me that Howard knew what would happen, and drove him to the explosion. He knows what Artie is capable of. Not to release him from the responsibility of blowing up, but Howard is not as innocent as he's making it out to be. He's just a good back-peddler. What an *****.
How bout Artie wouldn't fire the guy, because he'd "have nothing" if he fired him? Sounds like he's a softie until you push him too far, then he goes for the throat. - tippern, on 04/10/2008, -0/+7teddy and artie did get on the same plane to amsterdam tonight.
- inajeep, on 04/10/2008, -0/+7That is what Howard does. I don't think he had any clue of how Artie really felt about Teddy or how it was really pissing him off. If Howard thought Artie was ready to pop like that, he would have backed off.
- MillionsLivio, on 04/10/2008, -0/+7It was crazy on the show today, I love Artie but things have been getting chaotic lately. Nonetheless, everyone has played a part in all of this, and the staff kind of painted it out as if Artie was some escaped gorilla on a rampage. Artie is in the wrong for not firing Teddy months ago, which lead up to this. Teddy is wrong for being a leech in general and a crappy assistant. Howard is wrong for claiming he has nothing to do with it, yet blatantly aggravating the situation when both parties didn't want to take it further. It seems he really hasn't learned from the whole High Pitch Mike - Sal issues of the past. Made for great radio, but it's obviously a bit weird how these fights always happen on a Thursday, and even more so on one before a break.
- zeitgueist, on 04/10/2008, -3/+10Here is LordTalus's comment summed up so you don't have to read it.
I don't listen to the show.
I read an article once that said he was sophomoric
I'm uptight and full of myself so i have to ***** on what other people enjoy - Zetsubou, on 04/10/2008, -3/+9I like the picture of Artie they have up...
- drluv318, on 04/10/2008, -0/+6Artie is a another guy who got extremely wealthy very quickly, and just plain turned into a raving dick. The show needs that other person, and when he's not bashing people, he's funny...but lately, he's just been a completely arrogant prick.
- joeyslugs, on 04/10/2008, -2/+842K/year + money loaned + free trips + guaranteed radio swag and paid bar bills.
what is this kid bitching about? - damndj, on 04/10/2008, -0/+6MAC-HINE
- edoo, on 04/10/2008, -1/+7I often think the most outrageous, personal things on the show are bits. Or at the very least, extremely exaggerated.
- StuTheMeatMan, on 04/10/2008, -0/+6There's no way you can call him healthy.
- inajeep, on 04/10/2008, -3/+9I love Artie and would like to hope that he uses this time off to get his mind around it and come back to the show. He's really a funny part to the show. I'll miss him if this is the end. I'm sure Howard didn't want it replayed to hopefully keep him from getting mad again.
Teddy should have been fired long ago and Artie was trying to help him out but some of the responses from Teddy would have caused me to flip out too, not violently but I do see why Artie was driven crazy by him. Artie under pressure can be funny and entertaining but I would imagine it's not healthy since he doesn't have any good way of dealing with the fact he's famous, has money and a good guy. -
