Angelina Jolie vs the Press at her new movie
foxnews.com — Jolie is touting press freedom these days, playing the widow of murdered Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in a new movie called "A Mighty Heart." But Jolie turns out to be a mighty hypocrite when it comes to her own freedom of the press. Her lawyer required all journalists to sign a contract before talking to her.

- coit, on 10/11/2007, -5/+16There's a trend with liberals. They only like free speech when they agree with what is being said.
- jcm267, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11How ironic is it that she's banning Fox News from the premiere for a movie about FREEDOM OF THE PRESS??
- DiggIz4Kids, on 10/11/2007, -4/+5She should ban Fox News viewers from her movie as well.
Why do the stupid women flock towards liberal ideology? Oh, Wait! ...
- randf, on 10/11/2007, -3/+16perfect...a movie about journalism, journalistic freedoms, and freedom of the press, but she opposes freedom of the press when it comes to her. even hanging out with African dictators in order to "protect herself" from journalistic freedoms...how global of her.
another "do as i say, not as i do" hollywood retard- zobs, on 10/11/2007, -10/+4Perfect payback for FoxNews for doing fake news.--- they only use news to make their agenda.

but, why is it I feel this story will never see the front page of digg? - Gusmcrae23, on 10/11/2007, -4/+4Haha, hypocrisy at its highest?
- Davefic, on 10/11/2007, -4/+10Hypocrite, table for one. This is so typical of liberals who want freedom of the press on their terms only.
- coit, on 10/11/2007, -7/+2Is there an echo in here?
- CGBS6183, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5I agree I think she is being very hypocritical in limiting the press and then banning Fox News. She should consider another career move if she does not like that kind of attention. But I guess she just likes to be a control freak, poor Brad. Weird how Fox gave her movie “Mighty Heart”, about slain journalist Daniel Pearl a favorable review that she would not allow them to the premier. The events around the move are supposed to promote reporters without boarders and freedom of press yet she is clamping it down. I think she banned Fox News because she is a liberal and wants to take a shot a Fox and use her clout to say she as a liberal is right and Fox as conservatives are wrong. Fox news is conservative but is balanced as well and if the left would take the time to watch they would see that. But this brings to mind a bigger issue that I think most know that the mainstream media is biased towards liberals and most politicians and celebrities are too. Look a what the left has ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC and their various branches, BBC America, NPR, PBS, NY TIMES, LA TIMES, AP , Newsweek, and most other print media, even here on Digg there is a liberal bias. Besides Fox News and some talk radio and some print like the Boston Globe and Washington Post there is not that much in the way of conservative media outlets. This is not because conservatives are wrong but because most in the media have a liberal POV and it kind of makes you wonder that if one group of people with one POV gets reported over other POVs making it appear to be the norm wouldn’t that inhibit the average listener/reader from making an impartial decision about something
- xmkatx, on 10/11/2007, -10/+3My feeling is that she didn't want her high profile relationship to overshadow the movie promotion.
Oh, and ***** Fox News.- Euangelion, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Is Howard Dean posting here again?
- CGBS6183, on 10/11/2007, -3/+4Wow thanks for prooving one of my points whoever you are!
- xmkatx, on 10/11/2007, -6/+2Me? I don't have a problem with conservatives, I just watched a video a while ago of Fox News attacking Obama (who I don't care for, either) and then having their claims proved incorrect by CNN. I'm not for liberals OR conservatives.
- CGBS6183, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5No one said that the media, Fox or CNN is going to get it correct all of the time for example the CBS Dan Rather issue which was then blamed on Karl Rove when in actuality it had Kerry connections, but there is more left wing misinformation out there by the mainstream media than not
- CGBS6183, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1Personal life is one thing but to limit the information to be applied to other issues related or not, come on. This gives here the ability to control at anytime the press which is wrong, and then to be able to sue. What if someone does not comment or report later on what she wants in realtion to the interview while still staying on topic, what bull. there done for a while got stuff to do.
- LakeshoreBaby, on 10/11/2007, -4/+4Whadaya expect. She's a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
- CGBS6183, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2yep the scariest three letters put together CFR
- randf, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1i thought she was on the council for adulterous relations. my bad.
- reddevil3, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1I love how the conservatives are talking about hollywood hypocrisy, conveniently forgetting the fact that reagan was part of hollywood and so is fred thompson.
And who said that Jolie is a liberal? Just because she likes to help people abroad doesn't mean she is one.- Euangelion, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1No we talk about Hollywood liberal hypocrisy. BTW Reagan was a lib when he was in Hollywood
