*resumes gettin' funky* - nepalikakro, on 01/24/2008, -1/+19And now we have crap such as 'Soulja Boy' making the top 40.
- slaxo, on 01/24/2008, -2/+16Seeing moves like this reminds me of just how white I really am... Wish i could do that...
- sailadayaway, on 01/24/2008, -0/+12I digg this every time it comes around, I still be diggin' on James Brown.
- nepalikakro, on 01/24/2008, -0/+10Get on the good foot!
- bryceman111, on 01/24/2008, -0/+6James Brown is the MAN!
- tsbicca, on 01/24/2008, -0/+5James Brown is a such a pimp.
- EAMUS1CATULI, on 01/24/2008, -0/+5Dugg for the robot. Awesome!
- torrzilla, on 01/24/2008, -1/+6I'd pull a muscle and wind up in the hot tub if I tried any of those moves. Too hot in the hot tub. Burn myself.
- inactive, on 01/24/2008, -0/+4I wish I could dance like that... then I'd be really picking up some chicks!
- iceman0113, on 01/24/2008, -0/+4That man was great. I remember I saw him dancing in Beat the Devil from the BMW series, it was a great short movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzOxEkwHqEI
- steve06000, on 01/24/2008, -0/+3I LOOK good! I SMELL good! And I MAKE LOVE good, too.
- inactive, on 01/24/2008, -0/+3kick ass!
- okcomputer1982, on 01/24/2008, -1/+4Just for the record, James can do what he did because he was doing it since he was young.
Good dancers, black white or otherwise, become who they are through work.
Don't down yourself because you aren't black because black people are not natural dancers, athletes, or anything else. They just work harder at it, often have had deep musically roots in their family since Africa, and often have been in situations where entertainment was the only way to make a really good living.
Necessity, not race, is the mother of invention after all. - tinkafoo, on 01/24/2008, -0/+3No.. It's "he's dead, Jim." get it right. (How dare you call yourself a nerd..)
- tateswayz91, on 01/24/2008, -0/+3I don't know why you got dugg down. You're completely right.
- NitrousFlare, on 01/25/2008, -0/+2Sounds like Eddie Griffen
- contradictator, on 01/25/2008, -0/+2Sex Machine!
Can I count it off?? - tokyostory, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2James Brown was rolling in vagina. Wish I could do at least one of those moves decently.
- HouseofEl, on 01/26/2008, -0/+2Say it loud! This is why he's known as "The Godfather"
- DeQuinceysDiet, on 01/24/2008, -3/+5You are 2/3 right. JB was the MFer of all time, and Michael Jackson stole tons of stuff from him. The Stones on the other hand owe their entire sound to great old blues cats ranging from Robert Johnson to Hooker to Wolf to Muddy Waters, crossed with a touch of Elvis and maybe Little Richard. Not to JB, though I'm sure they were fans.
- drgirlfriend, on 01/24/2008, -1/+3I'm soooooo ***** jealous. I hate being a white girl sometimes.
- tdog138, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2I love it.
- ncapone, on 01/24/2008, -1/+3How are YOU doin?
- inactive, on 01/30/2008, -0/+2I think most diggers are too young to remember this
- d3c4y, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2ok, that is so much better than the air guitar ***** i was doing last night in a bar!
- mlvassallo, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2I will digg this every time it is posted. Im a sucker for the mashed potato.
- okcomputer1982, on 02/04/2008, -0/+2how long were you dancing then... if not while you where young. Are you saying that you learned nothing? Because even if you were born with an aptitude for something, it is only with practice that that ability can even even be expressed. It still comes down to accessibility and work.
- Excellion, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2Look how he does those moves so well everyone wants to imitate him even though the moves themselves are ancient. James Brown is timeless.
- biohazd, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2Oh no you don't.
- samson7842, on 01/24/2008, -1/+3Can't agree with you on that. I was born with the ability to dance quite well. Never really worked at it. Also, music was not played in my house very much. Both parents were old. I think there are some things that are handed down on a genetic level. Some stereotypes are grounded in, at least anecdotally, fact. In my case, I was just born with it. In much the same way some people can just pick up an instrument and play it with little practice. Or, some people are math whizzes. It's just in them.
- dreamer38457, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2That robot dance bit was amazing.
Doesn't beat the one in Eurotrip I'm afraid though.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4aMD4uy-QGc - 07sheikh, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2he ain't no MICHEAL JACKSON though!
- dafragsta, on 01/25/2008, -0/+1***** MySpace kids have showing up in January.
- bunkka, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1***** YEA!
AND ROBERT JOHNSON IS TIZZIGHT! - dafragsta, on 01/25/2008, -0/+1Exactly. Man, your getting Dugg down certainly rings in the ominous presence of MySpace kiddies that seem to have breezed in lately.
The Stones don't owe James Brown for *****. If that were true, then I guess James Brown owes everyone else who walked the earth before him. No doubt he was extremely talented and certainly deserving of the "hardest working man in show business" tag just because he was dancing his ass off while singing. - whiteyx, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1***** bad ass, and i laughed my ass off at this. james brown is the *****
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -0/+1ERROR ERROR ERROR
- hphickman, on 01/24/2008, -0/+15MIN can't even keep track of their own spam. They spammed the exact same dup to the front page a few months ago. They are making fools of this site.
http://digg.com/comedy/A_dance_lesson_by_James_Bro ... - HiKevinRose, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1That was a damn good robot. The shuffle in the beginning was something I'd never seen before, I would kill to know how to do that..
- cruik, on 01/28/2008, -0/+1That, ladies and gents, is a sex machine.
- Buckydb, on 01/25/2008, -0/+1SPAM!?! That hurts!!
- LupeFiasco, on 01/25/2008, -0/+1Thats like saying 67 mustang ain't no Maybach.
If it wasn't for James Brown you would get Michael Jackson being such an amazing entertainer.
Almost everyone that came after James Brown took their cues from them. - joe8thson, on 01/25/2008, -0/+1He influnced many of us! watch!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_zWyf9R0Qc - dafragsta, on 01/26/2008, -0/+1When I listen to Beggar's Banquet, I can't see Mick move. That might be his stage performance influence, but it's not what they are known for.
- fani, on 01/24/2008, -1/+2I liked it.
How do some stories get to the top this fast ? - jamesottorocks, on 03/15/2009, -0/+0Love it
