1. Squandered millions including a seven million dollar settlement he received in March of 2003 only to die and leave his family in debt.

I apologize for trying to give a wide audience as to compare to especially for someone who may not be up to date on American history. B.B. was the first that came to mind and then all I could think of was blues and jazz musicans and did not want to use two old black people (Ella Fitzgerald was the other) as that would not be a good example and hence we have Howard Stern. I was not going by fame or talent then so much as name recognition and Americana.
