too soon? - flamov, on 07/05/2009, -1/+16I'm kind of glad that the organizers aren't using this opportunity to grab some cash (if I remember, the tickets are free). But, honestly, I can't wait for all this "news" to be over.
- mark076h, on 07/05/2009, -0/+15I signed up for a chance to win.
- spvn, on 07/05/2009, -2/+16Half of them are probably hoping to get a ticket so they can sell it on Ebay for hundred times the price.
- novenator, on 07/05/2009, -0/+14This promises to be a circus. Maybe Bubbles will show up.
- BassMastr, on 07/05/2009, -0/+11How much money did the state make off him in the first place? How much will hotels, airlines, restaurants etc etc make off his funeral? You are very narrow minded...
- alwilson, on 07/05/2009, -0/+9Let's see... 100X0=0. I guess it's not as lucrative as you think.
- KSUdesigner, on 07/05/2009, -0/+9Of course the organizers are using it as an opportunity to grab some cash. The tickets may be free, but refreshments and souvenirs are probably double the usual price.
- BoneStamp, on 07/05/2009, -0/+8In case you missed the news conference: The City of Los Angeles budgets for 4 extraordinary (large and unexpected) events per year. This event is already budgeted for and if it didn't happen you'd still be paying for it.
- yocouchdigga, on 07/05/2009, -0/+7you never disappoint, syntax.
- TylerDuhrdan, on 07/05/2009, -3/+9I am just happy that California residents get to pay for the extra police, fire and EMT services needed for this event out of their taxes.
/s - vsujohn2, on 07/05/2009, -1/+7Its never too soon on teh interwebz.

- Puppetfunk, on 07/05/2009, -2/+6Holy *****, did I just see someone compare Michael Jackson to Metallica?
...
I need a ***** drink. - mywhitenoise, on 07/05/2009, -0/+4What makes you think the organizers didn't set aside a few to put up on ebay? Ticketmaster does it all the time.
- harusp3x, on 07/05/2009, -1/+5What's so important about you? You're just a neo-nazi, scenewhore wannabe, nothing else.

- twiztidsinz, on 07/05/2009, -2/+5*1.5 Million eBay enthusiasts Register for 8,750 Jackson Memorial Tickets
- inactive, on 07/05/2009, -0/+3No, the Billy Mays shtick is getting old.
- sonictonic, on 07/05/2009, -1/+4Despite the hateful, cruel, ignorant comment sin this post, this shows how much people loved MJ. He gave so much to this world and he deserves our respect, and let me remind some of you fools that he was never convicted of a damn thing. How about you look yourselves in the mirror and ask if you've given a fraction of a percent to the world of what Michael Jackson gave us. And I'm not just talking about the music I'm talking about the kindness, the Heal the World Foundation, and so much more.
- BoneStamp, on 07/05/2009, -1/+3The dude looked weird and did some crazy things, but most of us are going to be ugly and crazy some day and won't contribute a fraction of what he did to world music and dance.
- BoneStamp, on 07/05/2009, -0/+248 hours is a tight time line to complete and deliver an ebay auction.
- scoottie, on 07/05/2009, -3/+5They should take this out to the middle of desert and leave LA alone so that we can on with our daily life.
- Anand999, on 07/05/2009, -0/+2Hopefully they'll do what some bands (like Nine Inch Nails) are doing with presale tickets -- print the buyer's name on the ticket and check IDs at the door. I have no idea how well this idea has turned out in practice (anyone out there actually attend a NIN show with a presale ticket? How did the process go?) but it sounds like a good idea at least.
- Misinformant, on 07/06/2009, -0/+2No. He got off TO that.
Oh wait, you mean the trial.
So did OJ. Guess nobody killed Nicole then. - lepetitmousse, on 07/06/2009, -0/+1umm. that joke is waaaay older than billy mays' death.
- inactive, on 07/05/2009, -0/+1Seriously...I just do not understand anyone getting emotionaly involved with celebrities. Did MJ know you existed? were you friends? Did he pay your rent, buy your food, put gas in your car? If not, then why do you give a rats ass...because he could sing? Alot of people can sing...and most of them are not pedo's.
The dude had some serious issues. Get it over with already. - KibblesnBitts, on 07/05/2009, -0/+1you have a 5 minute chance to edit or delete your comment.
- YouAreDead, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1I DONT KNOW WHAT IM SHOUTING ABOUT
- poitzort, on 07/05/2009, -2/+3Why the /s? We do have to pay and it's annoying. On the up side, if people from out of state come, they'll spend money.

- LomasLou, on 07/05/2009, -1/+1I for one salute a fellow Caucasoid. WHITE POWER FOREVER
wait. what - Foot56, on 07/05/2009, -2/+2Tickets are going for 2800+ for two. I hope I get a pair being that I’m a broke college student. I sure can use the money.
- naugrim, on 07/05/2009, -2/+2It's been speculated that Michael Jackson died of food poisoning.
Rumor has it that the autopsy revealed he mistakenly swallowed a 7 year old wiener.
/s - lead2thehead, on 07/05/2009, -1/+1Even in death, he sells out the arena.
- mrogi, on 07/05/2009, -1/+1Michael Jackson is a much bigger celebrity than I ever realized. He sustained multi decade mega-stardom on a global scale. The unprecedented worldwide response to Michael's death makes Elvis look like a nobody.
