- fanfablebig, on 04/09/2009, -3/+33George Carlin could have been 97 and i still would have felt that he died to young. he still had a lot of greatness in him.
- inactive, on 04/09/2009, -4/+29elvis wasn't in his 20 or 30s when he died - once you hit 40s it is officially old age

no Elvis? - Lucas123, on 04/09/2009, -2/+25Can you imagine how many great movies Bruce Lee could have starred in it he hadn't died? I always thought if he had been directed by someone really talented, the movie would have been more of a blockbuster than the ones he did.
- Rage37, on 04/09/2009, -0/+17First off:
Regarding Hendrix: "his love for psychedelic drugs got the best of him in 1970".
Psychedelics are ridiculously hard to OD on and it was likely a combination of sleeping pills and alcohol that did him in.
Then regarding Jim Morrison: "Jim Morrison’s is one of the most well known actors of all time"
Whoever wrote this is ***** retarded. - louiebaur, on 04/09/2009, -4/+20Eazy E
Kick, kick that *****
Where you from fool, Compton, yea - agentsrecord, on 04/09/2009, -1/+17While I loved Cobain, Hendrix, Nowell, etc, I can't help but think their early death is partially to attribute to their immortality. There have been several bands that I loved only to watch them slip into old age and obscurity. I'm kind of glad their image, after their death, was something that could not be ***** with.

- sting2kx, on 04/09/2009, -6/+21sorry but Ledger does not even compare to most of those people.
i know, i know, he was great in TDK. but come on - IvenomI, on 04/09/2009, -0/+15Dugg for Brad Nowell.
R.I.P. Bradley. You too Lou Dog! - leaprinces, on 04/09/2009, -8/+22 I was 16 years old when 2Pac died. I remember that morning, as we were ready to go to school, my father said that he has some very bad news about 2Pac and that we don't have to go, if we don't want to.
And ,of course we didn't go to school that day. - nik15, on 04/09/2009, -3/+17Good list and on one page
- IvenomI, on 04/09/2009, -4/+18In light of this morning's events, I would like to submit an "Honorable Mention" by bringing up Nick Adenhart.
R.I.P. Nick

...straight outta Compton is a brotha that'll smother ya mother and make ya sister think I love her.... - leephil, on 04/09/2009, -0/+12Bruce Lee's death was a huge loss to the world. He was not just an action movie actor, but also an amazing martial artist and philosopher. I think that if he had lived, he would have become a huge star but then he would have become disillusioned with it and quit to focus on what he loved the most, and that is studying and perfecting his martial arts, teaching others, and spreading JKD and awareness of martial arts in general around the world.
- nepidae, on 04/10/2009, -3/+14Yes, because 1 day missed of school is tragic.
- ileftfark, on 04/09/2009, -0/+11I thought his characterization of Val Kilmer was spot-on.

An escalator can never break: it can only become stairs. You should never see an Escalator Temporarily Out Of Order sign, just Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Sorry for the convenience. - Cine, on 04/10/2009, -0/+8...Jim Morrison a well-known actor? Really? And the article says Hendrix died at 28 – I thought he was a part of the 27 Club?
Also sorely missed River Phoenix. - damonic, on 04/10/2009, -2/+10They have Chris Farley but not River Phoenix? Seriously? WTF?
- lepetitmousse, on 04/09/2009, -0/+8dimebag darrell?
he was 38, but still. - iammzac, on 04/10/2009, -0/+8RIP J Dilla
- yoder141, on 04/09/2009, -0/+7It says Jimi Hendrix died at 28 but he was only 27 and they got Jim Morrison wrong too. He was also 27 just like Janis Joplin Kurt Cobain and Brian Jones
- yocouchdigga, on 04/09/2009, -1/+8"Jim Morrison’s is one of the most well known actors of all time."
... - krazykeyur, on 04/09/2009, -1/+8River Phoenix
- avrygoodfrnd, on 04/10/2009, -0/+740.
- nysus, on 04/10/2009, -0/+7It also said Morrison was "one of the most well known actors of all time." What???
- Mummo, on 04/09/2009, -2/+8No John Lennon? How old was he?
- 33PercentGod, on 04/10/2009, -0/+6Heath Ledger? A legend? Passed too young and a shame? Sure. On the lists with people like Jimmy Hendrix and Marylin Monroe and labeled a "legend"? Come on now.
- akchrs, on 04/10/2009, -0/+6Lane Staley.
- Cherbear84, on 04/09/2009, -0/+6I regularly think about the hilarious movies Chris Farely would have made...I miss that guy
- Snoogs, on 04/09/2009, -0/+6Hendrix and Bradley Nowell had years of amazing music to give to the world that was snuffed out by drugs. I love to imagine what masterpieces Hendrix could have erupted from his tortured soul in the following decade.
John Bonham- 32 for my honorable mention. - vtbarrera, on 04/09/2009, -0/+6It's kind of ironic that this article was published today given this morning's tragedy.
- inactive, on 04/09/2009, -0/+5... dangerous young brother raised in hell and if i ever get caught i make bail...
- bigfatphony19, on 04/10/2009, -0/+5Pretty good list. RIP Jeff Buckley
- teamr, on 04/10/2009, -0/+5"you found a puppy, now you're dapper,

I still think of this line whenever I see dre or snoop. lol - JCEEZ, on 04/10/2009, -0/+5I love pussy, and pussy loves me.
Like a lemon to the lime
and a bumble to the bee - Niubai, on 04/10/2009, -0/+5I don't know, I think it's quite cool for teenagers nowadays to bash Nirvana (not saying you're a teenager), I have seen some. But for 30 years old guys like me: yes, nirvana was ***** great. I mean, nirvana sitll is ***** great, even after 15 years.
- JimmyTheClam, on 04/10/2009, -1/+5To each their own, eh?
- Jabrams2, on 04/09/2009, -0/+4While a very good list in my opinion, I think there had to be at least 2-3 spelling errors, and I can't even count how many grammatical errors. I've never been one to care about that, but when you have that many from a well-known site, it's a bit annoying.
- devakishor, on 04/10/2009, -1/+5Jimi Hendrix = God, and he died at 27... not 28!!
- JesseJ, on 04/10/2009, -0/+4How about Jesus? The original superstar.. They nailed him up as quite young.
- Zookelif, on 04/10/2009, -0/+4Cuz the boyz in da hood are always hard ya come talking that trash we'll pull your card...knowin nothin in life but to be legit dont quote me boy,cuz i aint said *****...
-The rest...
man thats some old school *****.... - krazykeyur, on 04/09/2009, -2/+6Yes you are.
- hmmmdonut, on 04/09/2009, -5/+9No Biggie?
He only made two albums and had just really begun his rapping career. That, and IMO he is one of the best rappers ever. - akchrs, on 04/10/2009, -0/+4And Brandon. I visited their graves in Washington.
- IvenomI, on 04/10/2009, -0/+3True, he wasn't a legend, but a kid with that much potential would have no doubt gone far in MLB.
I put it up more to pay homage to the poor guy. So young and so tragic. -
