- shoff88, on 09/10/2008, -11/+203I hate the term "Plus Size". In this context it gives off the impression that these women are fat and unattractive, which is 100% false.
- Hodor, on 09/10/2008, -6/+188hmm.. digg for positive body image? or bury for a slideshow? decisions decisions.
- jeremyduffy, on 09/10/2008, -9/+167Well duh. It's not about size, it's about tone and proportion. None of these "big women" were fat or gross. It's the same kind of thing that keeps Mariah Carey hot.
- takamichinaku, on 09/10/2008, -13/+159I love boobies
- shadowofleaves, on 09/10/2008, -10/+130Big? Plus size? WTF. It's called healthy. They all look great.
- inactive, on 09/10/2008, -10/+109Healthy looking women. A nice change.
- bikaner2007, on 09/10/2008, -21/+105beautiful, real life models!
- Wargalas, on 09/10/2008, -14/+88THESE are BBW's?!?!!? Please, these are normal looking women. Curvy, luscious, women. :) A REAL BBW weighs in at around 180 and climbs from there.
- Hetman, on 09/10/2008, -3/+64These are not big women. Actual bigger women must be crying after seeing that slide show.
- skyshock1, on 09/10/2008, -3/+56Those women aren't big. WTF.
- Zippo, on 09/10/2008, -3/+53Plus size to the model industry maybe... In reality, they're actually an average, healthy weight.
- freezerburn666, on 09/10/2008, -1/+45shes not heavy, shes my girlfriend
- lekahe, on 09/10/2008, -10/+53Fat? They were not fat, but normal. I don't understand people who want to see those anorectic models.
- Cwolf267, on 09/10/2008, -4/+47I don't realize why women fall into the plus size category if they aren't abhorrently twiggish.
- inactive, on 09/10/2008, -5/+43I've hooked up with way fatter chicks than that. Clown me all you want but don't knock it till you try it.
- bixby1, on 09/10/2008, -0/+36Plus-size boobies.
- JEWestbrookJR, on 09/10/2008, -10/+45It's crazy, because most guys I know, THIS IS WHAT THEY LIKE. Why do all women want to look like stick figures?
I like my girlfriend because she has a curvey, womanly figure. I don't want her to look like a scrawny 12 year old boy that happens to have boobs - bitterbug, on 09/10/2008, -2/+36Not exactly sure how any of these women could be called "big".
I would bet the largest of them is either on par with or below the average size for women in North America and Europe.
That being said.... Yowza! Hotness! - Wonderama, on 09/10/2008, -17/+49Mariah Carey is hot?
- Flapcats2091, on 09/10/2008, -0/+28I like my women like my golf game, mid eightys with a low handicap
- Spuy767, on 09/10/2008, -3/+27I would hardly call the women "plus-sized," more like well proportioned.
- BeShirtHappy, on 09/10/2008, -6/+29All beautiful and fit looking!
- inactive, on 09/10/2008, -3/+25http://www.jetstreaker.com/wp-content/uploads/2007 ...
Tell me that isn't disgusting...bring on the real life models anyday - mv1008, on 09/10/2008, -3/+25Number 6 wasn't "plus size" at all, she just wasn't freakishly skinny like most other models.
- inactive, on 09/10/2008, -3/+25Tocarra Jones makes me sweat.
- Sarie2008, on 09/10/2008, -3/+25These girls aren't even very big.... to me they look like the average size woman. Are they plus size because they have boobs and hips, say like Marilyn Monroe?
- dan1101, on 09/10/2008, -0/+22All lookers. I love curves, the only thing I don't like is belly fat.
- bypass, on 09/10/2008, -5/+26Hooray for boobies!
Good idea for an article though, we do need to promote that its ok to have some weight or be allowed to be bigger and not twig-like, it gives people the ability to accept thing like being naturally bigger, larger, taller, bustier, so on and so forth a chance to feel that its ok to be that and not have to be an absolute twig :) - ironhide, on 09/10/2008, -0/+19Because fashion isn't about the models, they're walking mannequins for the clothes to be draped on.
- shortyjacobs, on 09/10/2008, -2/+19I like my women like I like my coffee: ground up and in the freezer.
- SaiaRiddle, on 09/10/2008, -0/+17In the fashion industry, Plus Size is considered 10-12 (which is actually the average American woman size). You can't be smaller than that. So, normal models run from 0 to 2 or 4, but there's no one really representing the 6-8 size range in the fashion industry and Plus Size models are still obviously marginalized in runway shows. Look at all the major designers: Marc Jacobs, Valentino, Michael Kors and even Diane von Furstenburg (who claims she makes clothes for real women) doesn't have a single plus size model... they're all in the 0 to 2 range. However, since there are so few Plus Size models, they often get paid very well when when they are needed. I used to get mad at all the skinny ass models before I realized that they are really just coat hangers.... to be a model you can't just be skinny. You have to also know how to work the clothes and wear them well. Nearly all the time the clothes look much better on a real person (not a freak, which models are... freaks of nature), but the models in the shows are used to present a cohesive look for their collection. I know, I wrote a novel in response to your question, but there you have it.
- Ironspork, on 09/10/2008, -1/+17More cushion for the pushin!
- bunnytrigger, on 09/10/2008, -1/+17whats up with making people click thru a freakin slideshow this days?? just put them all in one page plz
- bypass, on 09/10/2008, -10/+25pure *****.
your obviously one of those shallow types that beats off to way too much porn with twiglike women in it or you've got your own self-esteem issues and this is the best way for you to deal with it. - noncn4mst, on 04/15/2009, -4/+19It's a shame that in most of the photos, they're covering their entire bodies.
However, it's nice to see girls my size called beautiful. - Antebios, on 09/10/2008, -6/+21Kate Dillon is the hawtest!
- chris4404, on 09/10/2008, -1/+16Here we are looking at models and you have to kill my boner by bringing up MrBabyMan? Take it elsewhere!
- inactive, on 09/10/2008, -4/+19I am not into the big girls, but I dugg it for all of you that are. And you know who you are!
- UNL1M1T3D, on 09/10/2008, -0/+15I am curious as to what is the definition of "plus size". Anything above zero?
- ironhide, on 09/10/2008, -1/+16Welcome to our distorted image of women (esp. in fashion) These women are all magnificent.
- HoneyHamilton, on 09/10/2008, -5/+19and a ton of plastic surgery
- orgazmo, on 09/10/2008, -3/+17Wait until she has 2-3 kids
The curves, they change - hoisonsauce, on 09/10/2008, -1/+15You know how when you grab a woman's breast... it feels like... a bag of sand.
- inactive, on 09/10/2008, -1/+15Completely true. A size 12 is not "plus-sized." Having C or D cups is not "plus-sized." It is normal and what used to be called curvy.
- fuzzynyanko, on 09/10/2008, -2/+16I find that kind of woman sexier than the Cryptkeeper-type models
- shadeOfGrey, on 09/10/2008, -1/+15Rounded up and shipped from Columbia.
- MScrip, on 09/10/2008, -2/+15Finally... "models" with boobs!
I never understood skinny runway models anyway. Most people are not skinny... why show off clothing on skinny twigs! - jmkiii, on 09/10/2008, -2/+15I think he meant insane.
- Scrappy1850, on 09/10/2008, -2/+15yeah, i hate antarctic models
- inactive, on 09/10/2008, -0/+12Robert Crumb models.
