eBay doesn't care about account breaches..

- stryker2you, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Although it sucks that your account was compromised, I find it hard to believe that it was eBay's fault and not your own. However, you say your IT and you probably know better about phising scams....but even the best of us can fall victim to a scam.
Also, you were very rude to the eBay guy and I find this hard to believe that you did NOT add or take stuff away from the chat (other then your address and account info)...
It's also possible that Patrick did NOT know anything about digg, but in fact knew you threatened to post information ONLINE...(as you said....remember AOL)?
So...again, yeah it sucks your account was compromised and eBay's policies take 48 hours...but you know, that's what it takes....I do think you did the right thing by 1. Changing your PW, and 2. canceling your pay pal account....but if eBay was compromised...what else was compromised? you don't say how it happened.
And last but not least....you did get your auctions canceled and all the money returned...so you can't complain too much about that.
I'm trying not to be negative toward you or eBay...and I'm not sticking up for either, I'm just trying to look at it from another point of view. digg it for what its worth.
