- blitz718, on 12/02/2008, -0/+6Hello, fantasy sports?
- peaceninja, on 12/02/2008, -0/+5i use yahoo answers and yahoo finance, and freecycle which uses yahoo groups. not a big fan of their search or email. their search page still looks like its from the 90s, i dont care if it's customizeable but they have to get that thing toned down a bit.
- embryoinbloom, on 12/02/2008, -0/+5That sentence confuses me, Yahoo! ?
- bernandoo, on 12/02/2008, -0/+4He's just cost averaging down.. he bought 50 million shares at 25.
- talonstriker, on 12/02/2008, -0/+3I use yahoo for pretty much everything (mail, [sports] news/comics, etc.) except search. I don't know why yahoo gets such a bad rap.
- Fleagleman, on 12/02/2008, -0/+3So before anyone decides to get clever here, we've already seen the "Icahn haz cheezburger" jokes in previous Dugg stories.
- maz2331, on 12/02/2008, -0/+3An awful lot of people.
- 11oops, on 12/02/2008, -0/+3What's the Reply button there for again?
- Ouze, on 12/02/2008, -0/+3After Forbes produced such visionary gems as hyping Merrill Lynch as a solid buy virtually up until they were insolvent and auctioned off as fire sale prices, i'd consider their financial advice to be slightly less reliable then your average train hopping hobo, let alone Carl Icahn.
- 11oops, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2I use Yahoo games for multi-player card games. There's a large community and it's free.
- FulcrumVitesse, on 12/02/2008, -1/+3What gives is this: Icahn senses the desperation of Yahoo to be acquired. Its only value lies in Microsoft buying it, and that is an unsecure position for any company. Yahoo is becoming a basket case.
- embryoinbloom, on 12/02/2008, -1/+3No I meant the Title, theres no ? just a ! on the Yahoo
Maybe a ¿ at the beginning would have worked - chubbymandoo, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2Because Carl Icahn't.
- Ouze, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2Just having high traffic volume is not adequate: they need to monetize that traffic, which is something that they have perpetually failed to do effectively as compared to their competition. This is why they are failing, and why ultimately their popularity will have proven irrelevant.
Remember, AOL was once the most popular tech service in the world, too. - Volarex, on 02/10/2009, -0/+1if you plan using automated software for stock trading read this info http://daytradingrobotsbestreview.blogspot.com/

- staticfire, on 12/02/2008, -1/+2***** yahoo
- bootie, on 12/02/2008, -1/+2It's because his eyes are set on Biogen Idec right now, more money to be made there.
- drpaidout, on 12/27/2008, -0/+1what? this article is trying to say yahoo is attractive on valuations even though it's trading on a forward PE of like 28? p/b of 1.5?? ev/ebitda > 10 ?
what!? that's "crazy cheap?" am i missing something? - TechMike, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1Enough to keep it profitable. If Ican is buying, maybe I should too
- MWeather, on 12/02/2008, -1/+2Their site may get a lot of traffic, but the search section does not, and that is where the money is.
- neubert, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1My Alex.com reader browser has Yahoo.com as #1 and Google.com as #2.
