- jessjesscali, on 05/06/2008, -2/+242they could lower the price if they took out some of the gaudy decor
- DeadSkinMask, on 05/06/2008, -0/+123$14.5 Million for house.
$10 Million to fully renovate that god awful interior. - macwac, on 05/06/2008, -6/+94I wouldn't pay a single cent for that place.. where is the xbox, ps3, flat screen, private cinema, computers so that I can read digg??? such a rip off!
- TEHxINTERWEBS, on 05/06/2008, -0/+81Looks like a bad neighborhood...
- Caalro, on 05/06/2008, -1/+65House is crappy North-East blue blood knockoff. Construction is a one up from any McMansion you can buy in the 'OmgC'.
The only reason it has such a high value is the land, which is the real housing price factor in SoCal.
I admit the pool is pimp. - BeeArePro, on 05/06/2008, -6/+61*****.
- kalleanka, on 05/06/2008, -3/+51I hate that retarded website scroll. You have to click to scroll horizontally. ***** that.
- KokomoNYC, on 05/06/2008, -2/+45In OC? Implants, I think.
- noturbest, on 05/06/2008, -0/+43having grown up in Orange County you would know that no one there calls it "the OC"
- feelmo, on 05/06/2008, -1/+44i live in orange county, but the ghetto part where theres 14 mexicans in an apartment and i could walk a block down the street and buy crystal meth
- dondara, on 05/06/2008, -2/+45Yep, can't buy taste. The exterior looks great. Interior? Looks like a whore house in Paris or maybe some Vegas dump.
- Lavarock, on 05/06/2008, -0/+41"see we wanted to make it more expensive, so we put gold on a bunch of random stuff!"
- mattgilberg, on 05/06/2008, -3/+42I would love to punch the pompous, french-wannabe ***** who felt that it would be "original" to name a mansion in California, "Chateau Fleur de Lys", after some cheap-ass hotel in Quebec.
- eth3l, on 05/06/2008, -5/+40Why do Diggers want to punish the rich?
- AccuraCast, on 05/06/2008, -6/+38That is NOT a European design. No self-respecting European would live in a box that looks more like a Texas ranch
- PATSCRU, on 05/06/2008, -12/+44having grown up in the oc...i don't know why anyone would want to live in that cultural vacuum.
- sockpuppets, on 05/06/2008, -2/+34Three $50,000 hookerbots or one hundred fifty thousand $1 hookerbots.
- StingingNettle, on 05/06/2008, -2/+31That's a lot of grass to be mowing, and watering.
- curtis87xc03, on 05/06/2008, -8/+36Stop believing the only solution to solve debt is to tax the rich into oblivion, the highest tax bracket is already 35%. We live in a democracy and already tax the rich 10-20% more than the average American. The answer is more fiscal responsibility not simply screaming higher taxes.
- bluedig, on 05/06/2008, -3/+30What would get for 150K?
- ChocoMidget, on 05/06/2008, -2/+29I photograph homes in OC and LA and this is nothing compared to what I've seen. It only costs so much cause it's in Cote de Caza which is essentially a gated neighborhood the size of a city. Waste of money really since you have to drive about 10 to 15 minutes just to get to the front gate half the time. Spend the 14mil in the hills, live off of sunset and have 13 Starbucks within throwing distance.
- serif69, on 05/06/2008, -0/+27I was fully expecting a tour of a studio apartment based on the title.
- awesometastic1, on 05/06/2008, -2/+29That pool table is way to close to the window. I guarantee it is annoying to play on. The house is also very cluttered. basically it looks like somebody didn't hire a good interior decorator.
- SpykerSpeed, on 05/06/2008, -4/+31Because they don't understand them. They think rich people are just lucky, or mean, or burdens to society. The truth is rich people aren't different from anyone else, except they figured out how to get rich. Diggers should study them and try to copy their paths to wealth.
- CiXeL, on 05/06/2008, -0/+25no one who grew up in orange county calls it THE OC.
only people who move there call it that thinking its a status symbol. - inactive, on 05/06/2008, -0/+24I guarantee you did not grow up in OC if you are calling it "the OC."
- julianwan, on 05/06/2008, -1/+25this is southern california, there are folk who can do that on the cheap....
- porkdanish, on 05/06/2008, -1/+24Proof that money can't buy good taste.
- veloscaper, on 05/06/2008, -0/+23Is that the part near Disneyland?
- ekboost, on 05/06/2008, -0/+23Guess money can't buy taste. The interiors look gaudy as hell.
- corneliusJones, on 05/06/2008, -0/+21...is fun
- dbbblondon, on 05/06/2008, -0/+20Thats nothing for Orange County, my old boss at Attachmate was selling his mansion for $75mil a while back - awsome property! http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/pages/live/articles/ ...
- turkeyssr, on 05/06/2008, -2/+22I live in Monterey, and if you understand the true meaning of the work 'liberal', i.e. open to new ideas, willing to challenge your own beliefs then no, Monterey is NOT liberal. In today's world, 'liberal' means spend everyone else's hard earned cash on social programs because it's society's fault and people without money are somehow disadvantaged. Liberal, in Monterey, means only 1 view point with no need to listen to anyone else's ideas. Tax! Tax! Tax! Spend money on the environment, think of the Children!! That's not to say I'm all that impressed with Conservative these days either!! I say all politicians are crooks...
- chewties, on 05/06/2008, -3/+22i would feel like the fakest piece of ***** if i lived in this house.
- lateralus, on 05/06/2008, -0/+19That place, for 48 hrs.
- BeeArePro, on 05/06/2008, -1/+20Apparently you can't even afford a dictionary.
- inactive, on 05/06/2008, -0/+18I'd rather see how many hookers and how much blow that would get.
- orlyfactor, on 05/06/2008, -0/+17What a ridiculous waste of money.
- ventralnet, on 05/06/2008, -0/+16looks like somewhere my grandmother would live
- CaptainShaun, on 05/06/2008, -0/+16After seeing Tony Stark's place in the Ironman movie, this thing really cannot compare.
- sockpuppets, on 05/06/2008, -0/+15More lawn gnomes for me, please.
- Filipp0, on 05/06/2008, -1/+16I think I can afford it. I just need some subprime contracts...
- Bigzz, on 05/06/2008, -0/+15well I sure am glad it has all that grass to...wait...what the ***** do you do with that much ***** grass
- usafdave, on 05/06/2008, -2/+16Because to a digger, 'rich' simply means a blazer-wearing, blond haired, sherry-swilling frat boy wearing loafers and dreaming of how to spend his daddy's inheritance. Everyone else is a victim. There are no hard-working people who've made it big...
- pk7677, on 05/06/2008, -0/+14....with a hot chick
- p51d007, on 05/06/2008, -4/+18Because the "not so rich" believe that they should have what "the rich" have, that the rich stole the money, screwed someone out of it, were lucky etc....
In other words, "the poor" have bought into the socialist agenda, that for every one dollar "the rich" make, "the poor" have lost a dollar. - feihung08, on 05/06/2008, -1/+15A notice on your door to move back to Arkansas
- potofgravy, on 05/06/2008, -1/+14You'd think at 14.5 million dollars they'd be able to afford a photographer who can hold a camera straight.
- Doomsan, on 05/06/2008, -0/+13or two...
