- Haz63, on 06/27/2009, -0/+39so you have to be a millionaire to dine with a billionaire?
- schroeder, on 06/27/2009, -0/+31Is it at an all you can eat buffet?
- inactive, on 06/27/2009, -1/+27I know! Those rich ***** donating money to charity, what a bunch of stupid ***** morons.
- DaviDTC, on 06/27/2009, -0/+20That means I can dine with a low ranked thousandaire.
- Julian88888888, on 06/27/2009, -0/+15"Buffett annually auctions off a lunch and donates the proceeds to Glide Foundation, which provides social services to San Francisco's homeless and poor."
or just generous, don't be a prick. - tenio, on 06/27/2009, -1/+16CHARITY
- ZimbuTheMonkey, on 06/27/2009, -0/+11He's a hundredaire.
- spacebuddy, on 06/27/2009, -0/+11Money goes to charity :)
- alvinhokid, on 06/27/2009, -2/+13No, it's a warren buffet
- dman24752, on 06/27/2009, -4/+14My question is what do you get to eat? Is it a buffet?
- rocknog, on 06/27/2009, -0/+10Instead of lunch with Warren Buffet received a bobcat. Would not buy again.
- Renian, on 06/27/2009, -0/+6...who has given a ***** to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, just for starters, and intends to gradually give the rest of his fortune away?
- dagamer34, on 06/27/2009, -3/+7You have no money?
- enevitable, on 06/27/2009, -1/+4This would be nice if Buffet matched the donation say, 100 fold. Then it would mean something to him. $1.68mil to him is about the cost of a big mac.
Then again Berkshire Hathaway did lose about 50k a share since September, with a 75k dive in its deepest flag. - xxacefirexx, on 06/27/2009, -0/+3If he gave you financial advice, I'd imagine lunch would be worth it.
- robotirl, on 06/27/2009, -0/+3Lets try to get Buffet for the next Digg Dialog, its the only chance 99.9% of the Digg community would ever have a chance at getting 1 question asked.
- inactive, on 06/27/2009, -0/+3You do realize he's committed something like $30B to charity, don't you? He makes Carnegie look like a punk bitch.
- Premier, on 06/27/2009, -0/+3Link?
- falser, on 06/28/2009, -0/+2I imagine Warren Buffett's first financial recommendation to him would be to not spend over a million dollars for lunch.
- Contrarius, on 06/27/2009, -0/+2two Ts
- nmcphee, on 06/28/2009, -0/+2how long is lunch?
- NoLibertarians, on 06/28/2009, -1/+3Can't be. I thought everyone was broke. I will know the economy is horrible when people stop buying ***** from ebay that they could buy for half the cost elsewhere. People buy stuff there for 99 cents then pay $10 to have it shipped. Hilarious!
- fireball9199, on 06/27/2009, -0/+2wow his lunch is definatly not free
- rixbad, on 06/27/2009, -0/+2I have to pay somebody to have lunch with me.
- solid12345, on 06/27/2009, -0/+2Probably going to make business deals at lunch to make even more money anyway.
- appleofdischord, on 06/27/2009, -1/+3It means he's a dollaraire... 1billion/1million = 1000. 1000/1000 = 1.
- emjaymj, on 06/27/2009, -0/+2Yeah... business deals aren't an automatic consequence of two business people sitting down together...
- stormspire, on 06/27/2009, -0/+2But....who pays for the actual lunch?
Edit: I wonder if they leave a good tip... - YWrite, on 06/27/2009, -0/+2Now...if it was $1.68, I might consider it. But only if it were convenient for me!
Besides, if you can't figure out how to make a lunch for $1.68...then you just can't be all that bright, now can you? - inactive, on 06/28/2009, -0/+1I'll do my own auction like this every year! I'll be rich!
- groo68, on 06/27/2009, -1/+2I bet it's an old turkey sandwich. He ordered it, but then he didn't want it, so the waiter sold it on ebay.
- appleofdischord, on 06/27/2009, -0/+1aww xkcd
- doublestuforeo, on 06/27/2009, -1/+2does the winner of the auction get to bang him too with that kind of money?
- solid12345, on 06/28/2009, -0/+1Well if a millionaire and a billionaire sat down together for lunch, good chance they are going to talk money, just sayin'...
- iv81, on 06/30/2009, -0/+1Ebay is a Joke!
After years of buyng and selling on ebay and having 100% feedback
On May 21'st 2009, ebay decided they had to suspend my account.
After calling and emailing them for the reason, they never gave me one claiming they had to protect the buyers information. (that's
odd, since I never sold anything in the past year)
So uppon further investigation, it turns out a not so smart buddy of mine had been lending his ebay account to somone to sell fake
cologne and some jewelry in exchange for 10% proffit.
But why did my account get suspended along with his account on the same day? Very simple. It seems ebay somehow assumes that if two
accounts get logged on the same computer/ip then it must be the same person. Since I do recall logging into my ebay account from
his computer to order something.
Should I bother contacting ebay to have their min wage ***** review their practices and policies to get my account back? I
don't think so.
They truly are the weakest link and it's not in my best interest to have ebay gain anything out of it. Eventualy they will realize
their mistake but it will be too late for them and the sellers who lost my buisness. - sacramentalist, on 06/27/2009, -0/+1Buffet experts know you never drink Coke, or any other fizzy drinks.
- greenlight2001, on 07/01/2009, -0/+1I'd ask him "What did the five fingers say to the face?"
- lazyspartan, on 06/27/2009, -4/+4Should have done a Buy It Now.
- cyrix, on 06/28/2009, -1/+1You couldn't even read the first 6 worlds in the description could you? Jesus christ.
- govtdoesnotwork, on 06/28/2009, -1/+1Warren's addicted to Cherry Coke.
- e68895f, on 06/27/2009, -4/+2want fries with that?
- whatit, on 06/27/2009, -3/+1http://www.d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y.com/
But I think you just made an honest typo there. - inactive, on 06/27/2009, -6/+2Wait...A Buffet Lunch?.
What kind of place did he eat at?. - inactive, on 06/27/2009, -9/+0The winner sure seems alot more generous than warren.
- raustin, on 06/27/2009, -19/+3its nice to know that in these tough economic times, there are still enough d-bags to waste obscene amounts of money on worthless things.
- wertach, on 06/27/2009, -21/+4The winner is a dumb *****.
