- inactive, on 10/04/2008, -10/+321838: Amschel Mayer Rothschild states, “Permit me to issue and control the money of a nation, and I care not who makes its laws."
1845: Andrew Jackson (The 7th President of the United States) dies. This Great Patriot leaves instructions in his will to have, “I Killed The Bank,” inscribed on his headstone, a reference to the fact he banished the Rothschilds second Central bank in the United States from the US in 1837
1913: The Rothschilds set up the Anti Defamation League (ADL) in the United States designed to brand as, “anti-Semitic,” anyone who questions or challenges the Global Elite.
Strangely enough, the same year that they do this they also set up their last and current central bank in America, the Federal Reserve. Congressman Charles Lindbergh stated following the passing of the Federal Reserve Act on December 23,
“The Act establishes the most gigantic trust on earth. When the President signs this Bill, the invisible government of the monetary power will be legalized.......The greatest crime of the ages is perpetrated by this banking and currency bill.”
It is important to note that the Federal Reserve is a private company, it is neither Federal nor does it have any Reserve. It is conservatively estimated that profits exceed $150 billion per year and the Federal Reserve has never once in its history published accounts.
"I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men." -Woodrow Wilson, after signing the Federal Reserve into existence
"Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the Field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere -- so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive -- that they better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it."
-Woodrow Wilson, The New Freedom, - Richandler, on 10/04/2008, -3/+14Bankruptcy is good for the company it needs new management. This isn't a crisis it's a correction.
- inactive, on 10/04/2008, -1/+11What a coincidence! The American people experienced on a run on their own bank accounts today.
- aznpwnzor, on 10/04/2008, -0/+9Wells Fargo's already agreed to buy it
- Betrayal, on 10/04/2008, -7/+15***** banking institutions. They run this world into hell.
***** you Rothschilds - xuanyan, on 10/04/2008, -0/+7Agreed. Fantastic movie. Should be required viewing for all high school students. Actually why doesn't everyone watch it right now. http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/3703775/Maxed.Out. ...
- explnx, on 04/27/2009, -0/+6You shouldn't care regardless. If a bank fails personal deposits are not at risk.
- beamster, on 10/04/2008, -0/+5Yup, The Govt. can always print you some more.
- Pinkertinkle, on 10/04/2008, -1/+5Isn't wells fargo picking them up?
- explnx, on 04/27/2009, -0/+4The guy said he wasn't worried because his money wasn't in Wachovia. I said that it didn't matter because the FDIC (or whoever bought the bank out) would have covered for him anyway. At no point was the general state of the economy a variable (if the financial markets as a whole are hurt by this event, it doesn't matter which bank his money is in).
- ericthegreat, on 10/04/2008, -0/+4Here here!
- inactive, on 10/04/2008, -1/+5Wells Fargo and Citi Group to duke it out over Wachovia= 2 douches fighting over the cheap whore they share between them. CRASH AND BURN MUDDAH *****!
- BuryBrigade08, on 10/04/2008, -0/+4Facts hurt. You keep buying all the garbage the mass media feeds you. Run for the hills!
- aflaks, on 10/04/2008, -1/+5So what did these scumbags do to protect themselves and boost convidence? They quickly allied with Citi to quell people and then they turned to Wells fargo with citi thinking they had a deal to get better terms considering there is another buyer. How classy.
- Nirgaul, on 10/04/2008, -0/+4There was a struggle between Wells Fargo and Wachovia's board of directors vs. the FDIC and Citigroup who wanted to negotiate a buyout. Read: Wachovia did NOT want to continue the deal with Citigroup once Wells Fargo made them an offer.
It should be noted that Citigroup's single largest shareholder is Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal of Saudi Arabia, who has a 4.9% stake. - UheardItHear, on 10/04/2008, -0/+4Jim Cramer, as mentioned on Mad Money today, took Wachovia CEO Bob Steel off the Wall of Shame too: http://www.cnbc.com/id/27015500/
Shame on the FDIC for getting involved. - Elliuotatar, on 10/04/2008, -0/+3http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfsb5HUFMQ0
Not a Rickroll - Ryan32, on 10/04/2008, -6/+9Jesus digg has gotten depressing lately... It's all depression this and huffpo/dailykos that. I keep hitting refresh thinking things might take an upswing, but i'm always sorely disappointed.
- inactive, on 10/04/2008, -1/+4I use Wachovia, got $50K in loans with them and I hope they burn to high hell. Absolutely unable to communicate with their clients on a human level. Total drones. Whaddya expect? Have been trying to work through deliquency with them, unemployed, (1.5 months behind in payments, which IS NOTHING, still they felt it important to start counseling me...) My solutions are not good enough for them because they want all of their money when they want it and I am so tempted to just tell them to ***** off, so I hope they burn and I hope all of those drone ***** that I speak with on the phone twice a week get brought down a couple of notches.
WAR HERO, SAVE US!
YOU BETCHA! - heystoopid, on 10/04/2008, -0/+3Wells Fargo has been on the FDIC hot list since 1986/7 , due to some continuing ongoing problems down in South America , so where are going to find the cash ?
- inactive, on 10/04/2008, -0/+3no im one of the jeeeeeeews. the rothschilds funded hitler, theyre not good jews
- drakethegreat, on 10/04/2008, -0/+3Why would they when Wells Fargo is already claiming to give them $7 a share. If they back out the whole article talks about the FDIC plan to allow citigroup to buy them out. So either way it won't be JP Morgan Chase because they wouldn't have the ability at this point anyways.
- ericthegreat, on 10/04/2008, -2/+5That's only another reason to bury the Huff/Kos spam.
- SanTe, on 10/04/2008, -2/+5"I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country..." blah blah blah -Woodrow Wilson
You know I'm really getting sick of seeing this myth perpetuated and repeated ad naseum by diggers who can't be bothered to verify the "quotes" they're repeating, so I'll say this again: Woodrow Wilson never said what you have "quoted" above. It is a mixture of various statements of his from different times and taken out of context.
Questionable Woodrow Wilson Quote

If you want to point out how ***** up the idea of a private banking cartel is, fine, but stop repeating misquotes as if they bolster your argument. - pinchduck, on 10/04/2008, -1/+3kubuntu FTW, beotch!
Ok, that was lame. How about
EMACS FOREVER! Suck my vi! - aresef, on 10/04/2008, -2/+4One of my jobs (small non-profit) keeps its cash in Wachovia. Apparently we're fine.
- roebeet, on 10/04/2008, -0/+2I use them and I was one of those people taking money out, that Friday. Not a lot, just enough to hold me over until things settled down. I kept thinking of that Bank scene in "It's a Wonderful Life", all through that day....except that Banks are 24/7, now (sucks to be them).
- beamster, on 10/04/2008, -2/+4It's going to get much worse Ryan. People are scared, and for good reason.

- d1rtfarm, on 10/04/2008, -5/+7If you have any sympathy for Wall Street, please, PLEASE watch Maxed Out. These rotten ************** have raped the poor into destroying our entire economy. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0762117/
- Chairboy, on 10/04/2008, -1/+3So you post essentially boils down to "THE JEEEEEEEWS!" then? Why else would you quote Lindbergh and have that ADL nonsense correlation?
- benitojuarez, on 10/04/2008, -0/+2I should have sold my WB stock a few weeks ago when it was 18 bucks a share or a few weeks before that when it was at 27 a share =(
- seobro, on 10/04/2008, -0/+2Buy Gold! That is what I did with money I had in WB.
- sbassi, on 10/04/2008, -1/+3There is something true: Banks don't have all customers money. That is impossible. If I had money in my bank account, I will take it away. I have only enough to pay bills.
- MikeFallopian, on 10/04/2008, -2/+4You're quoting Lindbergh as a serious political and economic source? Really?
- radicchio, on 10/04/2008, -0/+2Moves like this may keep an illusion that there aren't as many bank failures coming as predicted, but it's still the same. Citi and Wells Fargo are vultures picking away at the carcass. 13 bank failures this year. Hang on for the ride. Massive bank failures ahead.

- explnx, on 04/27/2009, -3/+4When everything goes to *****, remember to eat, shoot stuff, and make jewelry.
- bwtaha, on 10/04/2008, -1/+2wells fargo bought a portion of wachovia today there was an internal email at wells but i can't remember what it said off the top of my head
something about no FDIC assistance, but it was a really small number i don't think it was the banking operations seeing as how citi got them according to his article
they're all evil but at least i know my job might survive - hnazareth16, on 10/03/2008, -5/+6Many analysts believe Wachovia will be the next to go. The question is will JP Morgan Chase buy it?
- rsbryswrrl, on 10/04/2008, -1/+2Wachovia sucks. They like to play games with the order they put in your deposits and debits. I'm sick of them. After this, we're pulling our deposits too and switching our checking and savings accounts to the credit union.
- blipblipbeep, on 10/05/2008, -0/+1Sometimes if you want to survive you have to run my friend. Any way i live in Australia and i am watching from the outside where i can get a global perspective and Im also not prejudice to a failing system. now look down see those legs of yours, it starts by potting one leg in fount of the other then do it faster till you are at a running pace.
good luck BuryBrigade08
Love mode... Beep! - UsedAgain1, on 10/14/2008, -0/+0Throughout history we've faced liquidity problems. There's a few listed at http://www.bankrun.us but if there are others out there please post.
