I was incredulous at first, but it's really nice, as it makes all change valuable, with the smallest now being a 10-cent piece.
For example: $4.53 becomes $4.50. $9.87 becomes $9.90. etc, etc.

Because statistically speaking, two-thirds of all pennies which are put into circulation are given out, saved by the consumers, and never seen again. It's why we have to mint so many.

For instance, instead of just giving out 10 $1's, you could give out 5-$1's, and then a $5. Or, now that I think about it, you could give 2-$5's.

I pick-up every penny (and coin) I see. I have a jar full of money that it's filled with coins I found on the ground. I've gone to those machines in the supermarket to exchange it for bills, I made around $50 in 2008. That's $50 that weren't mine, nor did I work for it!
