This Weeks Friday Bank Failure has McCain's Son at the Bank
bloomberg.com — "Silver State Bank of Henderson, Nevada was closed by U.S. regulators today, the 11th bank to collapse this year amid a surge in soured real-estate loans stemming from the worst housing slump since the Depression." "In July, Silver State announced the resignation of Andrew McCain as a director of the bank."

- GrandmaSheila, on 09/07/2008, -1/+13That's what you call grabbing the loot and running, in this case into daddy's open arms. The rotten apple doesn't fall far from the diseased tree.
- StingingNettle, on 09/07/2008, -1/+6Yep, you don't resign a month before the bank fails as a director without knowing how badly you ***** things up. He's going to try and avoid blame for this as daddy tries to get elected. His dad's policies will also involve you losing your money via bail outs, war spending, and inflation.
Should of had a Ron Paul.

- le0pardess, on 09/07/2008, -1/+13Andrew McInsane helped destroy a bank and people's hard earned money. He learned this conniving technique from his corrupt, lying father. His despot father is NO hero and neither is he. Children are a reflection of their parents, and this is a glimpse of what "We the People" are in for...disaster!
Ron Paul write in. - TheResistless, on 09/07/2008, -2/+5Florida is officially the worst state to live in.
I'd rather live in New Jersey than Florida. - richmomz, on 09/07/2008, -0/+11I wonder if this is any indication of how his father would handle the U.S. economy?
- diggproof, on 09/07/2008, -0/+2You mean how he would not handle it.
- samimnot, on 09/07/2008, -5/+3"In July, Silver State announced the resignation of Andrew McCain as a director of the bank. McCain, who had served on the audit committee and was a director for five month"
OK...I dislike Sen. McCain and the GOP mainly because I see them as lairs and thief's. But just to be fair....Sen. McCain's son was only with this bank for 5 months. It's not like he had much to do with all the bad loans they made prior to him taking this position.- julielynn1009, on 09/07/2008, -0/+3I get what you are saying, but remember that at this level of finance everybody pretty much knows everybody what is going on at the different banks - what do you think they talk about on the golf course?
Seriously, I work in finance and corporate secrets are hard to keep so Mr. McCain knew what he was getting into when he took over and that is why I do not feel sorry for him. Most of these guys (and women) are in it for the greed and they most certainly do understand how economy and finance work...and they work it to their advantage, not the customer's.

- DuggDowner, on 09/07/2008, -0/+13Looks like not knowing how the economy works runs in the family.
- JenniferInMO, on 09/07/2008, -0/+13Oh, for God's sake! Wasn't the Keating 5 censure enough for McCain? You just can't teach an old dog new tricks.

(by the way, I noticed a ton of cleansing going on in the history of this page - surprise again) - julielynn1009, on 09/07/2008, -0/+3History really does repeat itself...and it makes me sick.
- Paultards, on 09/07/2008, -7/+0So what the hell is the significance of McCain's son being on the board..He didn't single handedly hurt the bank..This was a pretty insugnificant bank closure and like all the rest was quickly snapped up by some one else..There are many very strong banks out there hoping this happens so they can snap them up. In the end this will strengthen the banking system
- DealCracker, on 09/07/2008, -3/+4Biden is deeply mixed up in the sub-prime lending scandal also. In fact, MBNA is one of his biggest campaign contributors. And guess where daddy Biden got his son a job? Yup, it would seem that there are some rotten apples laying around the Biden tree too.
- StingingNettle, on 09/08/2008, -0/+1Not sure why you were dugg down. That's good to know. I need to read up on him.
- lolupissed, on 09/07/2008, -0/+2Just say no to McCrack
