- euphemizeme, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15Go in, answer questions honestly, and if you're competent you'll get the job. Otherwise bone up on ways to appear competent.
- ridiculicious, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7and if there are 30 people just as honest qualified as you, make sure not to do anything that might make you stand out, right?
Someone will, and that person will get the job. Getting hired is not just about competence. Companies want to know whether you are motivated and have the right personality, too. - corduroyblack, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5This really is a helpful tool. Despite that, nothing beats actually being prepared for the job you're interviewing for. If the job isn't a good fit, you won't last, or you won't climb the ladder. Getting a job for getting a job's sake is what leads to dissatisfaction. The most important tip is "find something that you actually like".
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3no they ton't
- euphemizeme, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I always love that, "What if there are 8297398437 people EXACTLY as qualified as you." Unlikely. That would mean they went to the exact same college as you, got the same degree and have the same grades, took the same courses, etc. Sounding like an overenthusiastic jackass doesn't up your chances of getting a job.
- chipsotoole, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Site is fine for me. Are you using your bro's Netzero dial up account to access?
- thcobbs, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Not enough if there is an open position.
- synwolf, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Calling this a cheat sheet is like calling the index to a Human Resources textbook a cheat sheet.
- ItsTheSun, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1wow this is the motherload... as a recruiter i couldn't ask for anything more. my candidates will love.... thank you!!
- munkyxtc, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3This site is slloooooow. I'm commenting now so I can check it out later. My brother who graduated college recently could use some help...damn slacker.
- chmeee, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1These tips are all great for people who have been in their industry for some time, with experience under the belt. Unfortunately, there is no advice for college graduates hoping to break their way into an industry.
- munkyxtc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Site is responding much better now. Guess it was the initial hits from digg that slowed it down.
- bilgates, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1damn it really?
