The Greens Are Happy - Jets Slogging through the Air!

cnn.com — With the rate of fuel going skyward, the airlines are in a fierce competition to keep costs (prices) down. Throttling back is one way to do it, and the other way is to more intelligently pick routes, altitudes, etc. Just think, all this without a government regulation, just the market at work.
