celente made some very good points. - inactive, on 01/29/2009, -1/+13Why can't any of our glorious leaders in the US see this when it has been analyzed, pre-digested, and presented by people like Gerald Celente, Ron Paul, Peter Schiff, Jimmy Rogers, Marc Faber, Lew Rockwell, etc.?
I am beginning to believe they have criminal intent...
HR 645 - inactive, on 01/29/2009, -1/+12Swell.....
I wish I didn't agree with him. - inactive, on 01/29/2009, -1/+8No, they live in a different reality.
Washington DC is surrounded by mirrors, the people that live and work there try to look out, but their gaze returns to the gleaming, marble-faced office buildings lined up for 50 blocks on K Street.
The politicians live to gain prestige in Washington.
The lobbyists as well, and to gain political favors for their patrons.
The journalists live to be invited into the inner sanctums of decision-making.
None of them sees the world outside the beltway as anything more than the chess board on which the great game of Washington is played. - antifed1, on 01/29/2009, -0/+6I hope everyone will take the 13 min. to listen to this. It's not just the financial crisis which he calls the collapse of 2009, but the strengthing of the police state that will result. Very Scary ....and the government is doing all it possibly can to make everything worse for a longer period of time.
- MooseOfReason, on 01/29/2009, -0/+2They should really call it "The Big Depression".
"Great" makes it sound like a good thing. - HumanAction23, on 01/31/2009, -0/+1I'm convinced the economy will indeed get worse in '09, just not sure as bad as Celente predicts, or at least I hope not. But with the souring economy, with it will come more crime and a harsher police state (actually military working within the US Borders). So all I can advise is be as protected and ready as possible. That includes guns, ammo, gold, silver and cash physically on hand, and maybe even supplies of water and canned food. Also might want to have extra for the prying and envious neighbors who didn't prepare.
- inactive, on 01/29/2009, -0/+1Yup.
The govt. doesn't have a solution to the financial crisis, but have cheer because they do have a solution to the riots that will result from the economic collapse!
Good news, huh?
They have converted a number of army bases into FEMA Camps (great big jails)
They have armed and staffed northcom with 4 or 5 battalions of combat troops trained in "non-lethal" weapons for crowd control.
Homeland Security has armed your local police force to deal with civil unrest.
So please don't think that Washington isn't planning for the economic crisis, 'cause they are baby! - Billhaynes, on 01/30/2009, -0/+1"We'll see," said the Zen master.
