- mckirsch, on 03/20/2008, -2/+3Agreed. How did this get to the front page?
It's a P.R. post.

- kingofinternet, on 03/20/2008, -2/+5I think I read about this in the Who Gives a ***** review of books.
- philpham, on 03/20/2008, -3/+4Sounds interesting. I'd read it. Dugg..
- Stormen, on 03/20/2008, -4/+4Why is this on the frontpage? Some lame PR-firm must be digging this up.
- ffttoteof, on 03/20/2008, -3/+5I wonder if this Mezrich novel will suck as much as the oh-so-believable one about the kids who go to Vegas and are allowed to take home tens of thousands of dollars in winnings each visit without being forced to fill out tax documents or present government-issued IDs.
Mezrich's books are garbage. - BobbyDigital777, on 03/20/2008, -2/+2I'm a Ben Mezrich fan. His other books were interesting reads. Rigged sucked. Hopefully Hollywood makes it into something decent. Or not. Who cares?
- mckirsch, on 03/20/2008, -0/+2This book was RIPPED by reviewers as sensationalist, and lacking in any real research.
Mexrich pretty much IGNORES computer based trading and market modeling in favor of descriptive passages about the "crazy" traders on the Merc Exchange.
I hope the movie is better than the book. - RationalXubrnce, on 03/20/2008, -0/+4 Did you read it or are you giving us a third hand opinion?
- markus941, on 03/20/2008, -2/+3This definitely smells like Digg manipulation.
- DuffyDirect, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1the mercantile exchange is in Chicago not NY?
- bryan4, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1A lot of locations and characters in the book were changed for privacy but there really is a NY mercantile exchange aka NYMEX
