- desistere, on 11/29/2007, -1/+15Instead of stating an unvalidated rumor as an excited declaration, the title should have been: Block of clay made by Saleen, could be a new car.
- CAD420, on 11/29/2007, -0/+10I'll digg you down all day long you spammin' mo-fo!
- roguescout, on 11/29/2007, -0/+6As a former Saleen employee who is clear of his NDA's, I can state as first-hand fact we were always working on wacky things that looked great in mock-up or proto and never developed.
I can also say I am proud some R&D aero I worked on years ago eventually made it to the S7. - MogusMaximus, on 11/29/2007, -0/+5Maybe Saleen can bring back the Ferrari killer. The GT40 was divine inspiration on wheels.
- DrivinWest, on 11/29/2007, -0/+5Preemptive strike: Yes, the Z06 Vette trumps 911 Turbos and F430s in performance, but it just doesn't have the panache or refinement of those cars. It is one hell of a performance bargain, however.
- Urusai, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1Viper?
- jcaino, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1Whenever it is said by most reviewers that it would be a suitable daily driver - that speaks of extensive suspension and chassis refinements to me; especially the way the Z06 eats up the track.
- rupertmorris, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1I love the fact that Saleen bring Euro sports car aesthetics to the table for American car manufacturers. Ford, et al don't appeal to my sense of aesthetics with their conservative designs. But their engineering expertise is second to none, and they need the financial infusion.
- DrivinWest, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1An American-made car that rivals 911 Turbos, F430s, etc. on performance and cost? We can only hope!
- redrighthunter, on 11/29/2007, -1/+2Slightly misleading title but nonetheless, I'm always game for a new sports car.
- inactive, on 11/29/2007, -1/+2You mean a car that doesn't look like a 20grand ford mustang...........OH WOW.......
Thank god this isn't another mustang with xxx engine.....I'm so tired of those cars. - roguescout, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1A lot of stuff came out of Speedlab...
- bobcrotch, on 11/29/2007, -2/+2I love how stuff like this comes out of nowhere. I'm sure the person who snapped this picture broke some kind of NDA, or some kind of agreement about leaking internal info.
Thanks, guy! - inactive, on 08/11/2008, -1/+1No specs, no pictures, no real data other than "Saleen's buliding a new car"? God damn, bury this garbage!
- gradivus, on 11/29/2007, -0/+0So you designed aerodynamic port 35-43 then?
- python08, on 04/18/2008, -0/+0This is really decieving.
http://www.newcarsaustralia.com.au - rmw132, on 11/29/2007, -1/+1Random Saleen fact: Did you know they made a Saleen Explorer, called the XP8, and XP6?

- deadnoob, on 11/29/2007, -2/+1wtf is this. a clay car? what will these nut jobs think of next. come on people. you get in a little fender bender this thing will be destroyed! im sure they will charge an arm and a leg for this garbage too. this is a disgrace to car lovers everywhere!!!!
- daliminator, on 11/29/2007, -2/+1haven't you heard? this is a new safety innovation - the "crumple zone" taken to the next level! now, the WHOLE CAR absorbs the shock and cushions the driver!
it also has no wheels or interior, so you can almost avoid crashes altogether! - kenvsryu, on 11/29/2007, -6/+3yes this is front page worthy.
- f821, on 11/29/2007, -6/+2Buried for an awfully misleading title.
