- billyjack1958, on 09/18/2008, -3/+68It's sad that it will probably come to sheeple either sending their kids off to illegal wars or watching them starve to death before they wake up and become informed about the government that rules them.
- tellahoohooo, on 09/18/2008, -1/+62A big thanks to the corporate media for calling this guy crazy, you really did some justice to the future of your country by calling the one guy who understood the actual problems of this country an un-american nut. Now your stuck with Obama - Biden & McCain - Palin. On one hand you have the "Maverick & the Hockey Mom" (I hate these monikers) who are both dumb as dirt when it comes to actual issues. They see money as something that is always there until you don't have anymore of it, so you just ask for more of it and poof it's there. Both so headstrong on their ideals they aren't even willing to admit when they're wrong (see any number of recent controversies). Then you have Obama, who yes is for change and I do believe wants to better the country but he's still gonna keep us in Iraq, push harder in Afghanistan and rely heavily on foreign oil which will keep our current bomb the brown country foreign policy in play.
It's really upsetting that the one guy who got it and continues to get it, called this bubble burst over five years ago, talked about issues, real issues from day one, who had more grassroots support than any other candidate and was saying what a majority of americans really believe. Pushed out because he was branded a radical for not playing the whole song and dance game jumping through hoops like all the other candidates for the corporate media and lobbyists.
Way to go America! - arisenagain, on 09/18/2008, -2/+39Wake them up quicker by pointing them to http://www.ronpaulplanet.com/

(Includes Ron Paul reality smackdown) - tellahoohooo, on 09/18/2008, -1/+31Wow your a true blue american. Did you actually listen to what he was saying there, or did your attention span wonder after 30 seconds cause it wasn't a commercial and you couldn't stay focused that long?
I honestly hope you never need advice on how to deliver a baby as it would be a detriment to society if you ever did manage to breed. - Aphelion27, on 09/18/2008, -0/+23So glad I don't have any money. Only 300k in school debt and 8 months until my Medical degree...
Will probably be able to pay that debt off with 200 euros by the time I start working.. - hugolp, on 09/18/2008, -1/+23I really wanted to answer like tellahoohooo, but lets give you a chance. reed311 can you detail what is wrong economically speaking in what Ron Paul said? Maybe you have a interesting point.
- inactive, on 09/18/2008, -1/+23billyjack- it is sad. I just don't understand why people are not reacting more stronly to the debasement of our currency.
If someone broke into their home and stole half of what they had they would be angry but when the federal reserve devalues our currency by that much you don't hear a peep from them. - Allegiance, on 09/18/2008, -0/+19If I were Ron Paul, I'd want to scream "I told you so!" at the top of my lungs. He's a bigger man that that, but he's gotta at least be thinking it...
- hautediggity, on 09/18/2008, -1/+20interesting, reed311 - either you're a well-versed economic genius who can accurately & precisely delineate the errors in ron paul's statement on the economic collapse. or perhaps it's just that you, reed311, don't understand the 411 unless it's a dumbed down stump speech peppered w/one liners like "lipstick on a pig" or "the fundamentals of our economy are strong"?
the reason most politicians think we're stupid & address us as such, is b/c of people like you. - 0nslaught, on 09/18/2008, -0/+19Ron Paul: Something Big is Going On
"In spite of these long-held concerns, I have days—growing more frequent all the time—when I’m convinced the time is now upon us that some Big Events are about to occur. These fast-approaching events will not go unnoticed. They will affect all of us. They will not be limited to just some areas of our country. The world economy and political system will share in the chaos about to be unleashed."
http://www.campaignforliberty.com/blog/?p=115 - katie212, on 09/18/2008, -1/+19Reed , I hope you are one of the 1st to lose your money so you will learn a hard lesson in economics. You probably are one of the leeches that live off of the taxpayers though, is my guess. You need to get a job and pay your "collectivist socialistic" fair share goofball. Ron Paul is the one that the MSM ask advice from when talking economics moron! Again, get a job you leeching pathetic imbicile.
- inactive, on 09/18/2008, -0/+17reed if I ever want to get advice from someone who posts without even watching the video I will look you up.
Ron Paul is a scholar of economics with far more expertise than you or the D&R gang candidates.
When you can explain Von Mises and Hayek without looking them up to see who they are maybe you will have someone digg your lame comments.
I noticed you ran away from me in the other thread when I asked you to show me anyone on my friends list who had a duplicate account so I could take them off the list. I also noticed that you have on your friends list someone who was banned under three digg accounts for violation of the terms of service.
So, are you for real?
Put up or shut up. - BoDeeDoe, on 09/18/2008, -0/+17Here is an archive of Ron Paul videos: http://revolutionarypolitics.com/?p=12
- quesi, on 09/18/2008, -0/+15...and the friggin israeli trolls/clowns still try to convince folks that Dr. Paul doesn't know what he's talking about. As if what he said didn't play out how he said it would, discrediting the naysayers, discrediting the smug looks and giggles (absent of a counterpoint) of the CFR candidates all.
- inactive, on 09/18/2008, -0/+15Time to be Dave........Get this out.
- ThinkOutTheBox, on 09/18/2008, -0/+14Well he said what I was afraid of. He said he doesn't even know if the Fed knows how to fix this. That is a very bad thing.
- Stryder81, on 09/18/2008, -0/+14How dare you be so off in your numbers, you sound like Bernake!
It's 30+! >:) - inactive, on 09/18/2008, -0/+13Just curious ... would ending the Fed, and starting the transition back to silver & gold coinage ... would that have cost more than the billions/trillions this has cost? Would it have been more of a disruption that this has been (and continues to be)? This is the age old rule of government intervention. Why buy something when you can pay ten times as much and get nothing?
Sadly, all this money has gone somewhere ... into someone's pockets. It blows me a way - no wait, it infuriates me to no end to know that billions if not trillions have gone up in smoke, and not one person has been arrested, not one person has been fired. Not one person has even been investigated. This is what happens when criminals are in the White House, in the COngress, and all over Wall Street. It's time for We The People to step up. We need a reverse money bomb/bank run. We need a nationwide strike. We The People need to step up and take our country back. To hell with the process. The process is broken. - Ihatepolitics, on 09/18/2008, -0/+13good video. WAKE UP AND LISTEN TO THIS MAN!!
- hugolp, on 09/18/2008, -0/+12"Every nation that has tried to get out of financial trouble by printing money has failed politically and economically" United State started doing it today.

- BlueCalico, on 09/18/2008, -0/+10It's a lot more than israeli trolls/clowns. Anyone with their hand in the cookie jar is saying "we're doing fine". Yep, YOU'RE doing fine; it's the rest of us who need to worry.
- zenithmbr, on 09/19/2008, -0/+9i want to shake your hand.
- pdubya, on 09/18/2008, -0/+8best wishes to you on that. europe is in the beginning stages of what we're facing. the euro will slide too. central economic planning runs amok regardless of country or region. start buying gold and silver when you start making a salary. and yes, pay down your debt.

FREEDOM today, freedom tomorrow, and freedom forever. - PongGod, on 09/19/2008, -1/+7The "people who suck" are those in the government (and in collusion with government) who are ravaging our economy and sending our soldiers off to be killed for things that have nothing to do with national security. If you had half a brain you would have understood that this message is anything but anti-American.
- PongGod, on 09/19/2008, -0/+5How many times does Ron Paul need to be proven right about the economy before you finally figure out that he knows what he's talking about? He was warning about the upcoming problems with Freddie and Fannie five years ago, not to mention the sinking value of the dollar, etc...
- pagno, on 09/19/2008, -0/+5I want to buy you a beer.

- inactive, on 09/18/2008, -0/+4We need a coordinated nationwide anti-theft revolution where everyone stops paying these unconstitutional income taxes. They steal enough of our money through the inflation tax, so why should we voluntarily give them an additional cut of our paychecks every payday? Unconstitutional programs will shut down and be forced into the private sector where they belong. The government will still borrow newly created money it needs to fund its Police State and Imperialism programs regardless, with the private central bankers collecting unearned interest on the newly created money as they always do. But it will send a message that we will not put up with this "legalized" theft from the central bankers and our government.
- zenithmbr, on 09/19/2008, -0/+4why the hell isn't this on the front page yet???
- Lawofnations, on 09/18/2008, -0/+2Read the 1985 Gold Coin Act. Particularly congressman Philip Crane's remarks on the house floor. You've always had the power to go home Dorothy! Just don't leave the yellow brick road (gold standard). And never take off the silver slippers (silver standard from the original L.M. Baum storybook). Otherwise they'll take the farm and Toto (latin for "everything") too.
- Striker101, on 09/19/2008, -0/+2exactly, that's why we have morality101.net/blog/ jump in if you can swim
- voodoochild461, on 09/19/2008, -0/+2Interesting.
- swiftysmith, on 09/19/2008, -0/+2Not really, he has always said that the FED is a huge part of the problem and can only delay the payback, problem is every time they delay it the pain of payback increases.
Unless the economic system is changed then eventually the bubble WILL have to be allowed to burst and and the debt liquidated or the dollar will be destroyed.
Gigantic corperations are being Socialised for the National interest as we speak!
National Socialism... anyone? - Striker101, on 09/19/2008, -0/+2if we simply ban the Fed from increasing the money supply wouldn't that stabilize the situation. Sure it might take a bunch of companies under, but isn't that what is happening with Lehman, AIG, FM/FM? Once the house is cleaned as it needs to be, we should be stable, and gas would be 20 cents again. I'm not even sure we need the gold standard back, but we can always do that if really needed. Biggest boosters of the gold standard are the gold peddlers, right?
- tellahoohooo, on 09/19/2008, -0/+2handshakes and beers I'm down
