"Don't blame me, I voted for Ron Paul"
He was one of the only candidates in my life to go up on national television, and just tell the truth exactly how he saw it. No rhetoric, no strange promises built upon some vague concept called "change", just old fashion straight forward honesty. Its a shame he was not nominated to be the Rep. nominee.
Now for all you democrats (particularly Obama people), I realize we have different political views based on different experiences in our life. But you guys also had the opportunity to vote for legitimate candidates, particularly Mike Gravel and Dennis Kucinich. Now while I don't agree with their views, they also told it how it was. They were straight forward with what they believed in, and had voting records stretching back 20+years backing up their words. But for some strange reason that is still beyond me, you democrats chose to nominate some guy who knew how to give a good speech, but had basically no solid record backing up any of the things he was talking about. And lo and behold, now that he is the nominee, he's already changing his stances on a bunch of subjects in order to get more votes and appear for mainstream. He's now showing his true colors, he is just another politician that is bought and paid for, but somehow he tricked millions of people into thinking he was different and wanted to bring about true "change".
Both the Democrats and the Republicans messed it up this time around again. There were honest politicians running for the Presidency (Paul, Kucinich, and Gravel), and we handed it to one of two jackasses instead.
Hence I will say it again. Don't blame me, I voted for Ron Paul. - mediaspree, on 07/03/2008, -2/+164McCain on the Economy: "I'm a war hero"
- nkfallout, on 07/03/2008, -26/+174Ron Paul is Awesome!!!
- uptwolait, on 07/03/2008, -9/+100Ron Paul is WAY too logical to ever get a presidential nomination or win the election. He doesn't pander to the selfish whims of the voters, and he doesn't have any strings that can be pulled by lobbies and special interests.
Damn. - PSWTyrant, on 07/03/2008, -8/+96The invite Ron Paul on to bump their ratings up.
- Bilabrin, on 07/03/2008, -13/+94Why would you come into this forum and post at all?
Smart people are not going to "shut up" about Ron Paul.
Clue in to why this man is so important.
Go to your library and pick up a copy of his new book.
Enough mindless complaining.
I'm typing this to all those who feel the way the above commenter do.
Intellegent people are going to keep shouting Ron Paul to the rooftops because, bottom line, it's right. It's the right thing to do, civicly, morally, and intellectually. The man has it right and WE ARE NOT NOT NOT STOPPING! - BBWolf, on 07/03/2008, -13/+78The Devaluation of the dollar created by the fed as They continue to print money as fast as they can to pay for social programs and a war that we cannot afford is the center of the storm. The FED is broken...Abolish it and return to a gold standard.
- Xihix, on 07/03/2008, -4/+65I wish this man was the GOP nominee.
- frigid04, on 07/03/2008, -12/+71Obama is backed by David Rockefeller, Zbigniew Bzezinsky and Dan Quayle, all of whom called for a new world order. Nothing is going to change with Obama or McCain, both will bring us closer to globalism.
- hockeysmurf, on 07/03/2008, -3/+48"The US dollar is a terribly flawed currency. America is not a great place to invest anymore."

Otherwise, They let the man speak the truth *checking temperature of hell* and that is ok by me. {I'm scared; Are they rubbing it in our faces about the crisis they helped to engineer?}
- pprovo1, on 07/03/2008, -7/+43Always on top of the issues!
- strafefire, on 07/03/2008, -3/+37I wish I could digg you up more
- josh4rim, on 07/03/2008, -1/+34People: "Man, our economy and our world is really screwed up. Ron Paul, how do you think we should fix it?"
Ron: "Stop getting in every ones business, eliminate the Federal Reserve and eliminate income taxes. Just do the opposite of what we are ding now."
People: "You are a crazy old man. That will never work"
2 months later:
People: "Ron Paul, things are getting worse, what should we do?"
Ron: "Stop getting in every ones business, eliminate the Federal Reserve and eliminate income taxes. Just do the opposite of what we are ding now."
People: "You are a crazy old man. That will never .......
And the cycle continues........ - curtisag, on 07/03/2008, -6/+39This Ron Paul video still applies today. Our economy is truly a house of cards propped up by a mountain of paper money.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XaxdUPNYj2s - Arcueid01, on 07/03/2008, -4/+36I love this *****. No matter how clear and logical the message is the people in our country refuse to listen. Maybe the founders had the right idea that the masses were too ***** stupid? I just cannot for the life of me figure out why people so blindly support McSuck and Osucko. Neither of them are going to fix anything. They are only going to continue this failed mess of garbage policy which we call government. Paul is the only one really talking about anything substantive. Kucinich too, however, he is at heart a democrat who would spend way too much domestically.
- cabdirazzaq, on 07/03/2008, -16/+47Ron Paul, always on the issues unlike Mr. Obama who can't be derived because of the lack of a function.
- ElRanito, on 07/03/2008, -2/+30I really love Ron Paul. He is such a breath of fresh air. It is so nice to hear logic and reason coming from someone in politics.
The best part is he has actually inspired like-minded people to run for office on other levels. We have a great candidate running for state rep here in Michigan who has a real chance of winning. I am happy that we have someone like Ron Paul who inspired and paved the way for people like the candidate here to run and hopefully win a seat in state house. If we couldn't start change from the top down, maybe we can start it from the bottom up. - dayal911, on 07/03/2008, -6/+32The neo-cons have ***** the country big time. Neo-cons are really just liberals who pretend to be conservatives, i.e. the modern day Republican party. The democrats don't pretend to be anything, they admit to being liberals.
- GnralHavoc, on 07/03/2008, -3/+27AMEN!!
- BaudiIROCZ, on 07/03/2008, -3/+26Rather than claiming this is crap, why not refute his statements on the American economy?
- weloveronpaul, on 07/03/2008, -1/+23Chicofaraby, you use the same strategy as the neocons. You say Ron Paul is crazy, what makes him crazy? Is it the fact the he wants
-smaller government?
--to be out of Iraq?
-to the end of the federal reserve (a private organization that has cost us all)?
--the end of executive orders?
-the Constitution to be followed?
-the end of pre-emptive attacks on other countries?
--the end of our $trillion/year empire?
-a sound currency?
Do you consider yourself a neocon? - kemp34, on 07/03/2008, -1/+20Without strict limitations on government (i.e. an actual working Constitution) you have TYRANNY. Given that our Constitution has basically been thrown in the pooper, we are living under a degree of tyranny. Anyone who hates Ron Paul for whatever reason ought to at least look at this basic issue and agree with him here.
- NightVortez, on 07/03/2008, -1/+20This time around? I can't remember the last time we've actually had an honest person nominated in either party. The fact that the democrats nominated someone who can give a great speech, and the republicans nominated someone who has a history being a war "hero" shouldn't surprise anyone.
Elections are nothing more than a giant market, with the voters being the consumers, and the most effective way to appeal to consumers is tell them what they want to hear through vague and catchy slogans, appearances in pop culture shows, giant signs and special interest groups. Very few people take the time to actually look deep into the positions of the candidates far beyond the label they hear on the news, and the label which seemed to surround all the candidates you've listed was "kooky". Quite depressing really considering those candidates were the most truthful. - inactive, on 07/03/2008, -1/+19Even if my vote is countless, I still have to vote for him... Obama is not talking about these things, he doesn't even seem to acknowledge the recession. People are loosing their homes and their business's, the economy has taken an absolute *****, RP is the only one talking about it.
- 1gunners4, on 07/03/2008, -1/+19But what about CHANGE?!?!?!
- inactive, on 07/03/2008, -4/+22Ron Paul is an icon
- Adamlite, on 07/03/2008, -3/+21Trolls, not critical comments, are getting buried. Attacking the "Ron Paul *****" seems less than constructive.
- sgglynn, on 07/03/2008, -3/+20He's known by more than you think, even if the msm pretends they don't. My girlfriends father, who was a hard lined bush supporter for years was talking to me after the republican debates and said "you know, I really like that Ron Paul, but I don't know why they practically ignore him"
- CoolHandLuke70, on 07/03/2008, -2/+19Ron Paul rocks!
- homah, on 07/03/2008, -1/+17Perhaps because the bill was slipped in with less than 24 hours notice. Don't blame him, blame the flawed process by which these incredibly important bills are slipped in at the last minute, sometimes tied to other unrelated items, and with basically no discussion before voting.
- frigid04, on 07/03/2008, -2/+18This isn't crap, so the first message was voted down.
This isn't spam, so the second message was voted down.
And if you don't "give a f*" then just ignore the article rather than coming over and posting a few comments in the article, it's not that hard. I don't like articles about Paris Hilton, but I don't go into them and spend my time in there posting and whining about how much I dislike them. - homah, on 07/03/2008, -0/+15Post some of his POLITICAL STANCES that you disagree with. I know it's easier to go around calling him a nutjob without ever having to backup your position, but how ***** hard would it be for you people to post some of your disagreements with his policies?
- ZachSka87, on 07/03/2008, -0/+15McCain on Healthcare: "I'm a war hero"
- foosnik, on 07/03/2008, -2/+16He makes too much sense for the common person.
- homah, on 07/03/2008, -0/+14All the RP haters ever post is that he doesn't believe in evolution or that he is a racist (the latter of which isn't true). Do you have any issues with his political stances or is this all you have?
- curtisag, on 07/03/2008, -2/+15Welcome to Digg, enjoy your stay.
- NightVortez, on 07/03/2008, -1/+14What are you talking about? Your comment just above says "Who Gives A *****." well, the people who seem to give a ***** are burying you, that's how the system works, don't whine about it. You're acting like you, or anyone else in this thread, actually gave an honest, helpful critique.
- apc3161, on 07/03/2008, -1/+14Seriously. Just step back and look at how strange this situation is.
The democrats are strongly against the Iraq war. Yet, instead of voting for the one democrat who voted against it to begin with (Kucinich), they voted for the Obama who had at the time voted to fund it at every single instance (of course he always had some lame excuse as to why he did what he did).
My dad always told me to disregard what a person says, and instead judge them based on their actions. Good advice I would say, and based on that advice, I have no idea how Obama became so popular. - treeflappa, on 07/03/2008, -2/+15thats how digg works.
- inactive, on 07/03/2008, -4/+17Smart people usually don't judge people as a forgone conclusion or slenderize and call out others as a "dip *****" so I guess you speak for no one. You seem to assume a good deal and assuming is something smart people do not do, they get facts and act accordingly and civilly. Unless you have an agenda, Its odd you even bothered to post.
- darkened, on 07/03/2008, -1/+14Don't blame me I voted for Ron Paul.
- UnFriendlyFire, on 07/03/2008, -1/+14Dugg up if you are talking about RP, dugg down if you are talking about Fox.
- frigid04, on 07/03/2008, -1/+14Your jig is up buddy.
Dan Quayle calling for a New World Order
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBYbgRlIqlc
Zbigniew Brzezinsky:
"...This regionalization is in keeping with the Tri-Lateral Plan which calls for a gradual convergence of East and West, ultimately leading toward the goal of "one world government'....National sovereignty is no longer a viable concept..."
Zbigniew Brzezinsky again:
“Finally, i have no illusions about World Government emerging in our lifetime. . . We cannot leap into World Government though one quick step. . . The precondition for eventual and genuine Globalization is progressive Regionalization because by that we move towards larger, more stable, more cooperative unites.”
David Rockefeller:
Quoted from a page in Mr. Rockefellers’ book ‘Memoirs’ published in 2002, page 405, Chapter ‘Proud Internationalists’: “Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as internationalists and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure, One World if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty and I am proud of it.”
David Rockefeller again:
Here is Founder of the Trilateral Commission, David Rockefeller in a private June 1991 Trilateral Commission meeting: “We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time magazine, and other great publications who directors have attended out meeting and respected their promise of discretion for almost forty years. . . It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards World Government. The supra-national sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.” - homah, on 07/03/2008, -0/+12I'm a RP supporter and I'll click the thumbs up for anyone who articulates a point well, even if I disagree with that point (hell, I have voted up onetimer a couple of times).
