- Ebacherville, on 09/17/2008, -5/+221Half a trillion dollars in bailouts, then the media goes to Ron Paul for advise. Mark Ron Paul's words in this interview.
- mattmcegg, on 09/17/2008, -6/+202No matter who the next president is, Ron Paul should be Secretary of the Treasury.
- Malakai0, on 09/17/2008, -7/+153As RP notes, 5 years ago he told congress this would happen. Economic media personalities like Peter Schiff and Jim Rogers have also been warning this would happen for quite some time.
Let's vote the people who actually know/knew whats going on into office this time! - Ihatepolitics, on 09/17/2008, -6/+115I blame both the democrats and republicans for our monetary woes.
they think Mccain and Obama are diffrent on economic policy big LOL. Why don't they ever talk about monetary policy and creating money out of thin air? - theantirobot, on 09/17/2008, -14/+1052008 Third Party Movement, Join our Facebook Group!
http://www.new.facebook.com/group.php?gid=31081407 ... - McLieberman, on 09/17/2008, -5/+87Ron Paul, with all his statements and alarms to the U.S. government and the people, but they ignore him and continue to write bad checks, massive debt, and record spending. Corporations and the Media have done a job on discrediting Ron Paul and pushing through their own selections of candidates. Down right Elections tampering by the MSM!
Hey American voters, almost all the Washington DC politicians are the same, selling us out to the Banks, Corporations, and Elitists. Ron Paul is one of a very few that truly cares about the people, our standard of living, our future. The rest of Washington cares about themselves and getting elected or re-elected. The American people, are just an afterthought to colluding politicians.
Stop the Disaster,
Stop the U.S. Government from wasting the taxpayers money,
Stop the Same Old Government Corruption...
Stop the 2 party Dictatorship,
Stop the government Facade,
Stop the Democratic & Republican Charade...
Stop the Corporations control of the government...
Stop the Federal Reserve and Abolish it permanently...
On CONSTITUTION Day... Stop Government from taking away ALL of our rights and Liberties, Support RON PAUL
DO NOT vote for either Obama or McCain... they're just the Same Washington
Listen to what Ron Paul is saying.. Educate, Listen, Learn, Investigate, Comprehend, the Charade of the U.S. Government
Ron Paul is the ONLY TRUTH in this Empire of Lies! - CAFM, on 09/17/2008, -13/+91Oblahma and McInSane will exacerbate the problem.
They need to get out of the way and let a 'real' man ( :)) take the wheel and lead us through this ever-worsening time.
Dr. Paul always talks straight to the people and has been doing so for a long time. - durden0, on 09/17/2008, -3/+80They misquoted him in this video by saying the reason for the bubble was reduced lending standards. Reduced lending standards were the result of the government's policies and the fed's cheap credit.
- inactive, on 09/17/2008, -2/+76"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation then by deflation, the banks and the corporations that will grow up around them, will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." - Thomas Jefferson
FORGIVE US OUR DEBT
VOTE THIRD PARTY! - latrosicarius, on 09/17/2008, -1/+73hey everyone. what is the problem here?? bail-outs are no problem for America! We can easily just print out another 85bn out of thin air! That won't backfire at all
- Nexus974, on 09/17/2008, -1/+71And NOW after they spent months trying to destroy him they finally see Ron Paul was right all along.
- rv361162, on 09/17/2008, -6/+58The bankers always win, period.
Vote 3rd party and lets stick a foot up the Fed's ass this year! - Voide, on 09/18/2008, -4/+54WHY THE ***** ISN'T PAUL THE REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE???!
- richmomz, on 09/18/2008, -1/+49Such a shame this guy wasn't taken seriously as a presidential candidate, we might have had a chance to turn things around. - Thinbev, on 09/17/2008, -2/+44Don't forget that the government comprises of individuals like you and I. They're not superhuman rocket scientists... So when the government bails out companies it means that regular people (like everyone else) gained control of a failed company.
I wonder how big of a salary those "government" individuals will pay themselves for managing AIG, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Bear Sterns etc...
We need to realize that the Federal Reserve created this mess and that we'll be a lot better off without a central bank. - HellCrafters, on 09/17/2008, -4/+44So who is writing in Ron Paul and who is voting Third party?
- Divector8, on 09/18/2008, -1/+37Sweet, delicious irony...
- liberalnurse, on 09/17/2008, -1/+37This is why we're angry. This is why we make noise and hell no we won't go away. This is why we feel such a sense of urgency for our children, for the future of our Republic. Don't ya think we want to just say ya'll get what you deserve? Don't you think we're tired of yelling at the top of our lungs for over a year while being ridiculed, marginalized. Risking our sanity at times cause no one ***** gets it!! Alienating our family and friends because of our conviction, our passion, our knowledge that WE THE PEOPLE are getting ***** and we're allowing it. One man had the courage to stand up and tell the truth, Ron Paul.. Shame on all of you.. What will you tell your children your role was to end this insanity ? I can look my children in the eye and say I DID SOMETHING!! For Liberty, For Freedom, For Peace..
- gjvrieze, on 09/18/2008, -5/+41Vote Third Party, let's fix this *****!
- sheeplescareme, on 09/18/2008, -5/+39Dear america,
thank you for being too blind to notice the differences between obama and mccain:
26 yrs
skin tone
one wants to kill babies, one wants to kill criminals
one censors his youtube channel, one does not
similiarities:
more wars
higher taxes
more federal spending
more government agencies
more suspension of the freedoms and liberties guaranteed to us by the constitution of the united states.
you left-right loons are morons. thank you for your ignorance in looking at and learning about party instead of country. we appreciate your complicity in destroying america.
signed,
the repubs and the dems (aka the republirats and democants) - elliottjgriffin, on 09/18/2008, -3/+35I hope all the drones on this site that digg up any positive Obama story almost as fast as they digg up negative McCain ads put the KoolAid down for one mini-second and think about what the word change means.
McCain is not change. But neither is Obama.
Change is restructuring our monetary policy to combat the destruction of the dollar so the Everyman, rich and poor, of America can afford the basic essentials of Western life: food, shelter, clothes, and healthcare.
Ron Paul has many faults, but every time you "hope" with Obama, or (laughably) scream "peace" with McCain, just take a few solid moments to think what you are voting for:
A candidate destined to maintain the system and expand on it a way that is already fundamentally flawed, if not outright dangerous. ***** the sweet talk of Obama and the straight talk of McCain...you are losing your country and the prosperity which not only hold dear, but at this point feel entitled to receive.
Do something, anything, on election night but turn out and vote for these hackneyed maintenance men of this system! - FongoBongo, on 09/18/2008, -0/+29I'm so glad to hear at least one politician speaking the truth on this matter. All this bailing out of financial institutions is just delaying the inevitable and is only a short-term fix. Where the hell did this 85 billion dollar relief come from? THIN AIR! Its being printed by the Federal Reserve with total disregard to the effect. This is going to accelerate inflation and further increase the credit bubble. In order to recover from this financial mess the world will have to go through a deep recession. Prepare for some hard times.
- JDenigma, on 09/17/2008, -6/+35Keep your eyes on the possibility of the AMERO.
- harrisbradley, on 09/18/2008, -5/+33Ron Paul 2012
- sclifford, on 09/18/2008, -0/+27If I could, I'd mod you up 500 times.
Money as debt is ludicrous. - inactive, on 09/18/2008, -4/+31Once again Ron Paul, the only candidate who understands basic economics proves to be correct.
To all you Obama fans out there, you've all been sucked in. Obama is going to be the greatest-con-man the world has come to know. He will probably be elected president, but things will not change. He is a ***** artist. Obama fails to address the most critical issue of the Americas economy, the monetary system. - mjoe, on 09/18/2008, -3/+29I think ron paul is the only politician in washington that understands what a derivative is.
- Kishoba, on 09/17/2008, -7/+31To all you people out their blaming republicans for our current situation, get a clue. The democrats are in control of the government right now. This is a problem caused by both parties. They are both disgusting in their policies, and to be honest I blame everyone of you 95 percent of American's out there that continue to let this go on. The answers to resolving these issues are clear and simple, and we need to fix our current state of government now.
- FreeTalkLIve, on 09/18/2008, -3/+26Ron Paul warned of all this ***** in the presidential elections. He is the only guy up there that is telling the truth.
Americans don't want to hear the truth. They want someone to pat them on the back and tell them that everything is OK.
Winning politicians lie because that's what the American people want.
They want to live in a fantasy land of hope speeches on one side, and God's plan on the other. Both sides are full of ***** and lies. That's what the people vote for because they can't handle the truth. - CurtisLow101, on 09/17/2008, -12/+35Vote - Chuck Baldwin CONSTITUTION PARTY! http://www.baldwin08.com/
- BlacklabelSAR, on 09/18/2008, -2/+25Ok for starters, any rights not expressly granted to the various houses of government are retained by We the People.
Just be aware that the Federal Reserve is neither "Federal" or a "Reserve", that the U.S. Constitution does not grant congress the power to delegate away it's control of the currency, thusly the Federal Reserve is unconstitutional, regardless of what corrupt politicians and bankers have done.
Fractional Reserve Banking is a scam. Check it out.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fractional-reserve_ba ...
FTA: "[edit] Money creation
The process of fractional-reserve banking has a cumulative effect of money creation by banks.[4] In short, there are two types of money in a fractional-reserve banking system:[6][7][8]
central bank money (physical currency such as coins and paper money)
commercial bank money (money created through loans) - sometimes referred to as checkbook money[9]
When a loan is funded with central bank money, new commercial bank money is created. As a loan is paid back, the commercial bank money disappears from existence.
The table below displays how loans are funded and how the money supply is affected. It also shows how central bank money is used to create commercial bank money. An initial deposit of $100 of central bank money is lent out 10 times with a fractional-reserve rate of 20%. This means that of the initial $100, 20 percent of it, or $20, is set aside as reserves while the remaining 80 percent, or $80, is loaned out. The recipient of the $80 then spends that money. The receiver of that $80 then deposits it into a bank. The bank then sets aside 20 percent of that $80, or $16, as reserves and lends out the remaining $64. As the process continues, more commercial bank money is created. To simplify the table, a different bank is used for each deposit. In the real world, the money a bank lends may end up in the same bank so it then has more money to lend out."

- HellCrafters, on 09/17/2008, -1/+19Why? Whats wrong with getting rid of the IRS CIA, And Home land Security?
- thrashertm, on 09/18/2008, -4/+21On this issue (and most others) Obama = fail
- kemp34, on 09/17/2008, -1/+18You can't have no regulations AND taxpayer bail outs, get it?
The government should exist to enforce contracts, police against fraud and abuse and levy penalties for criminal acts, other than that, the market of free individuals should be the functioning entity for these sorts of issues. Minimal regulations, no coerced taxpayer bail outs. - gjvrieze, on 09/18/2008, -4/+20Ron Paul is the only hope this country has at the moment, I do not mean just the person RP, rather the movement created by him, not forgetting to credit Baldwin and Nader... We need a non-globalist, Consititutionalist in the Oval Office VERY VERY VERY soon, or this country is dead....
Copying what Chuck Bladwin said the other day: Senators Obama and McCain are globalists, gjvrieze is a Consititutionalist! - tetrahydro0, on 09/18/2008, -2/+17Lets consult the guy who has been predicting all this ***** for years

- TruthExposed, on 09/17/2008, -0/+15"A contract IS a regulation."
Not necessarily. Contracts are consensual. - rv361162, on 09/17/2008, -1/+16He's been against the FED regulating the interest rate and pointing out for years that the FED is who caused this problem in the first place. You can't just give lines of credit to everyone and let it be a free for all and then expect it to end well when those lines of credit come home to roost.
- OblivionMage, on 09/18/2008, -2/+15Because McCain got a media surge, and Ron Paul didn't.
It doesn't matter about the issues or anything, all that matters is what the general population knows about, and that was McCain. - drlha, on 09/18/2008, -0/+13Remember the Fed were around in the 30s too.
- inactive, on 09/18/2008, -1/+13@stigmatatman
It wasn't a fair fight.
The MSM has an absolutely MASSIVE INFLUENCE ON WHAT PEOPLE BELIEVE AND THINK, AND WHO PEOPLE WILL VOTE FOR.
The MSM was 100% against Paul the whole time, it was an uphill battle. We did our best, held rallies and raised millions but we could not overcome the unfair disadvantage of being completely suppressed. - mumbels24, on 09/18/2008, -0/+11Your right, That position is usually reserved for puppets
