END THE FED.
CAMPAIGN FOR LIBERTY - http://www.campaignforliberty.com/
(DIGG 1 - ADD YOUR DIGG NO) - RobertTaft, on 11/23/2008, -8/+63The masses are waking up to the fact that they have been blatantly ripped off. Their sellout to the elitist banksters has become so obvious as to awaken the sleeping giant. Real criminal indictments should be forthcoming and the blank checks provided by the monopolized banking system for military expansionism and colonialism will stop. The merging with Canada and Mexico plan with its loss of sovereignty by the states of the union will not be tolerated. The one world government scheme will be largely undone by the will of the American people after our monetary policy is restored in accordance with our supreme law, the constitution. This document, more than any other, defines our republic and the union for which it stands. It supplies the essential, lawful limits on the power ascribed to the federal government. It is up to the People to properly enforce it, and enforce it We shall.
End the FED!!! - sheeplescareme, on 11/23/2008, -6/+55i am so jealous of houston! they had ron paul AND great weather! we had some decent speakers, but no paul and it was freezing. still, a great day.

The people must know the truth of the Federal Reserve. They have a duty to their country to protect it from the Federal Reserve and its secrecy. - wjappe, on 11/23/2008, -6/+39I would have liked to have seen him also in person but Houston is a long way from NY
- PSWTyrant, on 11/23/2008, -8/+39It was a great event. Great folks were there along with Ron Paul. I found it fascinating to watch the police while Ron Paul was talking. 9 out of 10 were totally ignoring the message (or rolling their eyes, shaking their heads when not completely ignoring him). I'm so sorry that many in law enforcement are going to be our enemies in the movement to restore liberty.
- inactive, on 11/23/2008, -7/+31For those who are just unaware, the reason we are so passionate about abolishing the Fed,is that they are an illegal if not organization, and they have destroyed the US dollar. The Constitution mandates gold and silver coinage, and even in modern times, our money should be backed by or represent some measure of gold or silver in order to maintain it's value.
In 1914, when the Fed was created, the dollar was a 317 grain silver coin, and was worth 98% of what it was worth in 1792. Since the Fed has taken over, all connection to silver or gold has been stripped away, and the value of the dollar has dropped to less than 3ยข of it's original value.
More over, these bankers have taken control not only of our money supply, but the government itself, steering the country endlessly towards massive social programs, and expensive foreign wars ... all in the name of creating government debt, from which they profit in charging interest. If you are someone who genuinely cares about peace in the world, or liberty in America, the central issue, the main cause of the problem is the Federal reserve System.
We The People MUST end the Fed, and demand our government and financial system obey the law.

WHY DOESNT THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA DO A SPECIAL ON THE FED AND THE ALTERNATIVES TO IT?
Oh yeah, its NOT in their interests..............sorry I forgot. - LordBacon, on 11/23/2008, -10/+28Please digg this story up.
- CoolHandLuke70, on 11/23/2008, -5/+23If you do not think that the powers that be(IMF and Rothschilds who actually are part owners of the FED) do not already have control, you need to firm up on your history. We could avoid a whole lot of debt by giving those duties to the Treasury even if a lot of the rats that are involved in the FED are also involved in the Treasury Dept.. It may not mean "liberty restored" but it is a big step -- I do not think that liberty will be restored fully short of some sort of revolution. If you understand the control that families like the Rothschilds have imposed upon nations and the methods used then you should be for abolishing the central banks.

http://digg.com/all/business_finance/upcoming/most - wjappe, on 11/24/2008, -2/+17What a crazy world when someone who speaks good sense is considered a kook by the majority of the mainstream. I just don't understand. Is this what we have come to? And those same people listen to the same old campaign promises and believe them, and those promises invariably get broken or are useless. And really believe we are going to get real change (for the better).
Someone who stands for getting rid of the old dinosaurs that are killing this country and no one takes it seriously and someone who knows what he's talking about.

No one cares - George Carlin RIP - maxtangent, on 11/23/2008, -5/+20The Fed is already controlled by the IMF:http://www.teamlaw.org/
Check out the link "History of this Nation". - cnot3, on 11/23/2008, -7/+22The Federal Reserve is the institution most responsible for the economic crisis we're currently facing. It is like a fourth branch of the government, completely unconstitutional and unchecked. Everyone likes to blame Bush & co., but the Fed has done more damage to the economy than the ***** war in Iraq is costing us.
- swrostmore, on 11/24/2008, -2/+16Now that he's not running for office, Ron Paul can tell us what he really thinks:
"it's time to end this movement towards One World Government and One World Currency!" (~5:00 in the video) - inactive, on 11/23/2008, -2/+16Yes, I suppose that's true. We managed to revoke the charters of our first two central banks, and even if we abolish the Fed, I'm sure within a generation, the same international bankers will be back, pushing for banking industry control of the money supply somehow. But it's pretty close to the trunk, especially here in the USA. And the Fed is the crown jewel, so getting this done will be a serious blow.
- ravage86, on 11/23/2008, -2/+16So we're expected to have faith in our currency but our government isn't? If I'm not able to trade the currency for something of value from those who print the currency, then the currency is ultimately worthless.

I think we agree. To require me by law to accept something that's worthless as if it has value is a criminal act. I wouldalso think that you should be a able to redeem dollars for gold or silver at a bank or at least at either the Treasury Dept. or a Federal Reserve Bank. If they don't comply, I'd be curious to see where a law suit went. - sphira, on 11/23/2008, -3/+14It is a valid point -
The process of the destruction of the fed, and the manipulation of the call for it can be hijacked. As a result control of national currency would likely be misdirected to the IMF -
That is actually central to the talks of the G20 as I understand it. A new reserve currency directed by the IMF. If the dollar survived, it would be tied to the IMF standard and control of currency would fall away from the people; forever.
The Feds demise still absolutely must be fulfilled! but it should be done very carefully. The people really missed the boat. They could have had Paul in office championing the cause correctly. - inactive, on 11/24/2008, -3/+14* * * * * Digg 180 * * * * * * *
I Completely agreed with you that constructive conversation, informational links and so on are priority, however, in defence.
The number of digg's being added to comments is for two reasons.
1. You can verify Digg is not manipulating the count - I can assure you in the past the numbers have not added up properly for certain topics.
2. It adds a comment. A lot of "diggers" dont generally comment but adding a number is easy. This gets the topic rated highly under the "Most Comments" search. - wjappe, on 11/23/2008, -3/+14That doesn't bode well if they are as out of touch as most of the population is on what is at stake

before the Fed will truly be disposed of,
You have to get rid of at least most of the puppets (all of them -DRs) in all three branches of government first -
Until the previous condition is met, It seems probable whatever takes the Feds place will be worse. - DukeLeto2, on 11/24/2008, -2/+13I'm so proud of my fellow patriots! We've killed 2 federal banks so far. This is a good start to killing the third!

Digg 109 by Sa'bbay - agaiziunas, on 11/23/2008, -9/+19If you're going to comment, don't tell me what # DIGG you were, who cares. Start a real conversation or make a humorous jab at something.
Speaking of starting a conversation, why not tie the dollar to Gold, even make it convertible into Gold? That was the policy for over a century, and it worked pretty damn well. After untying it from gold we've lost 98% of the purchasing power. The dollar is shakier as the "reserve" currency of the world. COMEX, the mechanism of trading paper gold futures on the NYSE, has 18 million ounces outstanding, but only 5 million ounces in holding... another artificial bubble as they are betting no more than 5 million ounces will be called in for physical delivery.
It seems to me there are hundreds of Fed officials working the bellows furiously to prevent this souffle from collapsing.. so what happens when the Bush regime exits and a non-chimp leader takes the helm? Either he'll have to order his folks to continue working the bellows so a complete collapse doesn't happen in his term, or he'll have to face reality, let things correct themselves, and take a helluva lot of heat in the process. Meanwhile, the neocon chimps at the GOP cheer in glee because they made the smart guy look bad and will be able to install another puppet chimp in 2012.

- inactive, on 11/23/2008, -6/+15Not off topic at all my friend. Very good question. We know US government uses some of that gold as collateral to the Federal Reserve. And every country in the world still keeps some gold reserves. Funny huh? Further proof that at the end of the day, gold/silver/platinum is the true store of wealth ... and always will be - like the law of gravity, or sexual attraction, some rules of nature are permanent.
