And I don't believe in God - voicce, on 09/29/2008, -17/+434Paul is the one politician who understands the bailout and warned against the system that caused it for years. If people would pay attention to his message we could save the country yet.
- rancemo, on 09/29/2008, -5/+390You know it's bad when atheists start praying...
- Jacob4Freedom, on 09/29/2008, -21/+259Let's hope at least half of the reps in Congress have brains enough to listen to the American people and not our fear-mongering president (who will go down as the worst in the history of the country). My God, how much more damage can our president do? Not as much as usual if the Congress will grow a pair and listen to Dr. Paul.
- NeoConned08, on 09/29/2008, -18/+238I can't wait to see all the anti-RonPaul trolls eating dirt in the gutter when they are out on their asses from a crashed currency. They'll be the first to squeal wtf happened, standing there with a half eaten chicken wing in their hand, football/american idol blaring in the background, SUV stalled out on the side of the road on E, with no water or food. Ya, keep bringing the idiocy trolls.
- Journeywithinn, on 09/29/2008, -19/+219Do they not see that this is something TOTALLY AGAINST the American Way?? This whole thing is Communistic and has as much to do with other countries, as our own.
We need to bite this bullet and let this corrupt system fall!! We will come out of it with our freedom. This is more important than ANYTHING for future generations. I would eat worms fried over an open fire before I would bail out China..we MUST get this voted DOWN. - inactive, on 09/29/2008, -24/+197Republicrats are two wings of the same bird of prey. Time to VOTE THIRD PARTY! Break the duopoly that is killing our Constitution! My choice is Chuck Baldwin!

May you get what you wish for, red-blue koolaid drinkers. - RogerStrong, on 09/29/2008, -4/+148Bottom line:
If you're part of "the greatest generation" or a baby boomer, your investments will be protected, as will your way of life.
If you're under 35, you've just been handed the bill. You're the first generation in your country's history to not have it better than your parents, and yet another trillion in debt has been passed on to you.
You won't have as high a standard of living as your parents and grandparents, because THEY lived beyond their means. THEY voted for whoever would let them continue to do so - whoever wouldn't raise taxes or cut spending or tell the banks to act responsibly, or not allow jobs to be sent elsewhere so that those with established careers could have cheaper stuff.
You not only won't get their perks, but you're stuck with the bill for THEIR perks. Here's another $5000 in debt for each of you. But hey, it's small compared to the rest of the debt you've been handed. - crunshii, on 09/29/2008, -9/+145He should have been promoted to Treasury department...
- XxtraLarGe, on 09/29/2008, -1/+126UPDATE: The House has REJECTED the Bailout!!!
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/financial_meltdown - hooah212002, on 09/29/2008, -7/+131Ron Paul is PISSED! And rightfully so.
- inactive, on 09/29/2008, -8/+120ramen
- Cleaner44, on 09/29/2008, -11/+105Every politician that goes against their constituants needs to be thrown out. No to the Bailout!
- thatsmyaibo, on 09/29/2008, -8/+98Republicans killed the bill today. Let's see how Diggers spin this to make the Dems look good. For the first time in a long time, I'm proud to be a Republican*.
*Note, not a neo-con. Just a fiscal conservative that wants smaller government. - digitronix, on 09/29/2008, -9/+98If this bill passes, I'm going to clean out my bank accounts and CDs, get rid of all my fiat dollars and stockpile on gold. I think I'm going to need it.
- inactive, on 09/29/2008, -10/+93Vote Third Party!
"There should not be hostility toward those who seek opportunities in any party. The goal is to spread the message in every way possible. As a matter of fact, if the ideas didn’t invade all political factions, it would not be a true revolution." - Ron Paul
I urge eveyone to learn about Chuck Baldwin, Cynthia McKinney, Bob Barr, and Ralph Nader. - All of them oppose the bailout, and all of them are better choices than the establishment candidates! - MRoCkEd, on 09/29/2008, -6/+88Sadly, some believe that free-market capitalism created this problem. It's actually quite the opposite: Government regulation caused this problem. And now they are proposing to solve the problem of inflation with more inflation...
- timothycrash01, on 09/29/2008, -1/+82If you haven't heard already: The bailout bill did NOT pass.
http://www.cnn.com/ - FrozenPie, on 09/29/2008, -11/+85America is making me sad to the point of crying. I had high regards for Barrack Obama until I met Ron Paul and his Revolution. Now I feel that there is nothing left but hopes.
- BTM08, on 09/29/2008, -16/+84Third Party is right! http://www.ThirdPartyTicket.com - Live internet debate in conjunction with 4 way money bomb. Over 5,000 pledges already.
- Trustar247, on 09/29/2008, -12/+78Yes, vote congress out of office (the ones that votes for the bailout) and vote third part for president. (I'm voting Constitution party as well).
- bucfish, on 09/29/2008, -11/+77Let's Vote all the bums out and that Means No Obama No McCain!!! Third Party baby. Do not care which one whichever one you vote for vote on your principles. Nader, McKinney, Barr, Baldwin. I am voting for Baldwin. But vote for anyone besides the two corporate special interest owned shills!
- kgorczyn, on 09/29/2008, -4/+62Looks like Congress listened... Vote looking it's going to swing AGAINST the bail out...
- tajitj, on 09/29/2008, -17/+74Dr. Paul did it. The Bailout failed first round of voting.
- RogerStrong, on 09/29/2008, -11/+67There were plenty of atheists in foxholes.
- Truzseeker, on 09/29/2008, -6/+61its already happened...its just a matter of time for collapse
- bruno1969, on 09/29/2008, -16/+69Wake the F*ck Up!!
- inactive, on 09/29/2008, -3/+55Why don't we listen to the economists that predicted this rather than the traders that worked in collusion with the Fed and the Treasury to cause it?
It makes you wonder if the government is really looking for a solution. - inactive, on 09/29/2008, -18/+69If you support Obama or McCain, you are complicit in this act of treason.
- Hetman, on 09/29/2008, -10/+60Ron Paul is like the madman in Nietzsche's God is Dead, he has came to early for the masses to recognize.
"Here the madman fell silent and again regarded his listeners; and they too were silent and stared at him in astonishment. At last he threw his lantern to the ground, and it broke and went out. "I have come too early," he said then; "my time has not come yet. The tremendous event is still on its way, still travelling - it has not yet reached the ears of men. Lightning and thunder require time, the light of the stars requires time, deeds require time even after they are done, before they can be seen and heard. This deed is still more distant from them than the distant stars - and yet they have done it themselves."" - troyusaguy, on 09/29/2008, -6/+56The media hammered ron while campaigning for president, discredited him. now the media is selling us this bill to destroy our country, both Omoma and McCain support a bail out
I say Protest both of them and vote third party
Nader, Barr, Baldwin. im voting baldwin - inactive, on 09/29/2008, -5/+54I'm sorry, but if you want a revolution, you've got to give people a reason to revolt. The economy's really gonna have to crash and burn before anyone's gonna take notice. Yeah, things look grim on paper right now, but you're gonna need people to feel the effects on their own lives before anything's going to change.
- inactive, on 09/29/2008, -8/+56Ron Paul! Rate the Tube too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ticytEUvVhQ&eurl=ht ...
- Waiting2awake, on 09/29/2008, -2/+50Pretty much sums it up...
Ultimately, the sad truth is that American kids will be endentured servants for life, because they're parents sold them off for china's trinkets.
Which wouldn't be so bad if not for all those lectures about how their generation was "the greatest generation".. - idc5, on 09/29/2008, -7/+53The dollar is already worth as much as origami paper.. Can it get worse?? The sad truth is yes..
- Spentlife, on 09/29/2008, -9/+54Listen to the prophet, the only presidential candidate who was ready to tell the truth... and still is trying to help us all...
- buggles, on 09/29/2008, -3/+47This bail out is not a fix. It is simply taking the consequences of the bad decisions by bankers and planting them squarely in the lap of the American Public. All this is going to do is change the players in the problem to new suckers, not fix the problem.
Thanks, Congressmen and Senators who are representing us. You are clearly showing the rest of the world what you get when you subscribe to American Style Democracy.
The ONLY good thing about this plan, is that you fools who are passing this are going to be screwed as well. May you all reap what you are sowing. - Dary, on 09/29/2008, -4/+48If this thing passes, things are going to get bad. But if it doesn’t pass, things are going to get bad as well.
This bill won’t do anything to avert the coming catastrophe. I just don’t want people to think that it was Ron Paul’s fault for not approving of this bill.
Ron himself has said that things are going to get worse no matter if this bill passes or not. - RogerStrong, on 09/29/2008, -0/+39And this time, it's PERSONAL.
/movie trailer - barbsat, on 09/29/2008, -0/+38You won't be able to buy gold and silver much longer. The U.S. mint has suspended sales of gold coins and dealers worldwide are reporting shortages.
- ostracize, on 09/29/2008, -0/+36FDIC is a perfect example of regulation that everyone thinks is a good thing. With the introduction of the FDIC, all the incentive the banks had to avoid inflation (ie. the fear of bank runs) were entirely eliminated allowing credit to expand without restraint.
It's really free-market capitalism, operating within the allowances of government regulation that causes the problems. Because of the enablers government gives the banks, free-market capitalism looks like the bad guy when it's government enablers that should be blamed. - HillerMylife, on 09/29/2008, -3/+39I'm an atheist because it keeps me out of foxholes.
- rolandvvv, on 09/29/2008, -13/+48If Ron Paul decided to start a revolution, you have to believe there would be another American Civil War. When the general population is sick of its government, they revolt, and this is exactly whats happening right now. The government works for the people, not the other way around.
“An idea whose time has come can not be stopped by any army or any government.” - Ron Paul - airforcematt, on 09/29/2008, -6/+40Shout this guys - lets try and get frontpage before the vote!
- IheartRonnyP, on 09/29/2008, -0/+34> "It's my understanding people today eat out more, have bigger homes, more gadgets, safer more reliable cars, etc. how do we not have it better than our parents?"
This is a false wealth. Our economy is built on credit, not on the creation of real capital. It cannot last forever. See this excellent resource:
http://www.freedom-school.com/money/how-an-economy ... - Suil, on 09/29/2008, -2/+35The no votes have it.
- muckemuck, on 09/29/2008, -1/+33Just so people don't get the wrong impression.. he's not saying that not passing the bill will result in a booming economy. It's still going to be a very rough year, but if our government makes the right choices we'll get ourselves out of this quickly without destroying our dollar.
- Thinbev, on 09/29/2008, -0/+32I disagree. The majority of Americans (Democrats and Republicans) don't want this bailout to go through. The Democratic leadership is going against their people's requests.
