- sgtbutterscotch, on 01/28/2009, -0/+3I get the point, but how is allowing your favorite company to save a little money not helping your favorite company?
- anubis2night, on 01/28/2009, -0/+3I'm sure these same people would be more than willing to file a claim against MS for Vista though...
- kd420, on 01/28/2009, -0/+2This isn't so much loyalty as stupidity. Apple is paying either way, you might as well take the money and buy an iTunes card or something if you want to show support. There isn't really a principle to defend here either, the case was legitimate and a lot of people had defective/unsatisfactory products. If you're actually trying to say that Apple is being punished unfairly, _then_ you would be too loyal, for not being able to see flaws in a company you like.
I really can't understand actions like this. Don't people realize Apple is just a big corporation like every other big name out there? They don't need defending (they have lawyers for that), and they are just as cutthroat as any other company. Don't think for a second that they didn't know about scratching issues and should be given a pass, they chose to ignore it for cost reduction. You don't spend millions on a product without testing it's durability. - SAEJO, on 01/29/2009, -0/+1I'm an Apple fan, but to be honest I probably wouldn't take the money just because I wouldn't care to fill out the forms. Who care's, it's $25. Maybe I would, maybe I wouldn't, but I'm pretty damn lazy.
- grbruner, on 01/29/2009, -0/+0Read the article. Apple won't get to keep the $25 if you don't claim it. Any unclaimed money goes to charity.
It would probably help Apple more if you take the money and use it to buy some stock. (or I guess like 1/4 of a share)
