That might just be the most realistic view on piracy I've seen one of these executives take in quite a while. Remember when tape cassettes were going to "ruin the music industry" or VHS was going to be the "downfall of the MPAA" due to the piracy scares that they caused? And just as is the case with p2p filesharing right now, both provided new outlets to spread media faster and more efficiently than before... technology advances, and slowly but surely, the industry is forced to catch up.
