- sheeplescareme, on 11/04/2008, -14/+130schiff nails it again and no one pays attention.
- Trekhawk, on 11/04/2008, -18/+111Peter Schiff 2012!
- inactive, on 11/04/2008, -12/+104Wow those anchors are pretty dim-witted!
- Navicerts, on 11/04/2008, -8/+70I agree with this man 100%, which is why I voted for Ron Paul in the primary. There is no presidential candidate I even want to vote for left at this point :(
Every time I see peter on the news hes treated the same was as Ron Paul was. "What you say makes sense and is possible but it will never happen" - It's AMAZING how much I hear that. It's like they are too busy saying "how outrageous" his ideas are to use their brains and think constructively. - nightaudit, on 11/04/2008, -9/+55I completely agree with Peter. Unfortunately, it will take a painful recession, possibly depression, to make Americans wake up and elect someone that represents real change. Yet perhaps, the public will only want more government and then we're all screwed. I'm renewing my passport just in case.
- Rothbardosaurus, on 11/04/2008, -6/+52"I love this guy!"
What a patronizing tool. When a guy like Schiff corners the hosts on their stupefyingly horrid perceptions, they resort to words like the above to suggest *he's* the crazy one, while they parrot lines like "gold only has value insofar as I believe it does". It sure as hell has more intrinsic value than imaginary digits and green paper! - cl2yp71c, on 11/05/2008, -16/+59RON PAUL!
- rancemo, on 11/04/2008, -13/+56haha. So much truth, and these "journalists" still stick their thumbs in their ears and say lalalalalalalala
- Rothbardosaurus, on 11/04/2008, -7/+46Schiff was good. The other two sounded like third graders.
- snoobies, on 11/04/2008, -8/+46I'm not an expert in economics but everything he says always makes sense. Why can't people just listen. We need to find a way to change the way people process information instead of how they think.
- inactive, on 11/05/2008, -3/+34you should have gone with Ron Paul 2008 then.
- inactive, on 11/05/2008, -2/+29what's up with Obama supporters? Do you guys not check his policies before you voted for him? If you wanted Schiff as a financial adviser, you should have voted for Paul.
- Stryder81, on 11/04/2008, -2/+25You really don't need to be an expert in common sense.
These " experts " are experts in the art of *****. Painting this great big picture about something that is so simple as point A to point B.
On this particular segment, they have to not agree with him because they are on a business channel. They utilize what they have and can't get into economic policies like Peter, otherwise they will get canned.
So, they have to lie, bs, or disagree on purpose. Sometimes they genuinely don't get it, as that girl says in this segment " But Gold only has the value of what you say it does, not because it has real value. Crude & Oil do "
How f-in stupid can you possibly be by making such a statement. How in the world did she get that job?!
Probably for being just that stupid. - Trekhawk, on 11/05/2008, -0/+21I did.
- NeoBanned, on 11/04/2008, -13/+34We...........
are....................
Screwed. - inactive, on 11/05/2008, -11/+30Lies Lies Lies!!!!!
If Obama is elected he will wave his hand and all will be well. Where he walks flowers will grow and birds will sing. He will take one stock and feed the whole world. Yes Obama will part the pacific ocean and we then can all walk to Hawaii his homeland to sip on cocktails and watch hula dances. And we will live happily ever after just like the bible says. Yes the Messiah has come!
Open your hearts and pursestrings, Obama is coming! - buddyw, on 11/05/2008, -0/+19Wow. Just the thought of that has brightened my day.
- Ymeg, on 11/05/2008, -3/+21Austrian School of economics.
Please, just take a look. - inactive, on 11/05/2008, -11/+29Stupid blind Obamabot zealots!
They have no clue.
They are ALL after a QUICK FIX which is impossible.
Obama is full of *****, he always has been.
He won't change a single thing. - cuecat, on 11/04/2008, -5/+22On the issue of price controls mentioned in the clip.....
The FED is engaging in price controls on a daily basis. But instead of controlling the price of oranges and milk, the FED controls the price of money. And that controls the price of everything. Interest rates like the price of everything else, is determined by buyers and sellers. If you mess with the market price of a product, bad things happen, any economist will tell you this. Instead of interest rates being determined by borrowers and lenders, the FED makes one up. Why did the FED lower interest rates to 1%? Why not 1.103254% or 0.92352%? Either Bernanke/Greenspan/etc. are incompetent and have no understanding of basic economics or they're crooks. - jonmlm, on 11/05/2008, -1/+16because digg is only like 15 people, right?
- inactive, on 11/05/2008, -8/+23Ron Paul for Secretary of the Treasury.
- inactive, on 11/04/2008, -8/+23We The People MUST end the Fed, and demand our government obey it's own laws.

- johndavidjack, on 11/05/2008, -2/+16Which makes absolutely no sense going from Ron Paul to Obama... at all.
- dpc2376, on 11/04/2008, -2/+16Why not Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party. He was to appoint Ron Paul as the Secretary of the Treasury and abolish the Federal Reserve.
- SpykerSpeed, on 11/05/2008, -0/+13Obama will probably burn all Austrian economics books as part of the "Fairness doctrine" legislation he signs.
- akchrs, on 11/05/2008, -18/+31Obama is going to bankrupt our country.
- tajitj, on 11/05/2008, -7/+20Peter Schiff's website.

Digg Ron Pauls CNN appearance from November 4th election day.
http://digg.com/politics/Ron_Paul_Continues_to_Tel ... - Ymeg, on 11/05/2008, -1/+13We honestly need someone like him.
All I hear from the Republicans and Democrats equate to an appeal to emotion. I have never and there has never been a major red or blue candidate who can elegantly debate while adhering to the logical facts and laws of economics and our country. They simply don't exist. - thinsoldier, on 11/05/2008, -9/+21"...If it wasn't for the Federal Reserve, which is a government entity..."
...righty-oh.... closes window.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_reserve#Busin ... - adiyo011, on 11/05/2008, -2/+13On one thing you guys praise Obama yet in this one you completely disagree. Eh? I'm not judging you guys but you sure twaddle a lot. Seems awfully bi-polar.
- acroyear2, on 11/05/2008, -3/+14Because clearly everyone before him didn't do it already........
- avesik, on 11/05/2008, -6/+17Digg is schizophrenic. We love Schiff, but want a liberal in office. I voted Obama, but let's hope the Republicans shape up so we can go Conservative and really fix this country.
- inactive, on 11/04/2008, -4/+13Yet those of us who bought gold coins instead of putting money into a CD or savings account have fared far better than those whose belief in the banking system have seen the worth of their retirement savings diminish, the power of their earnings diminish and so too the economic activity they can create with those dollars.
When I get enough FRN's to buy a gold coin, I buy a gold coin. The gold coins I purchased when "W" was sworn in will buy me more food and fuel today.
If you had made any dollar investment you could not even come close. Even if you did make enough money to overcome the loss of purchasing power then you would be taxed on the increased number of dollars, not the value of those dollars.
If 0bama wins, we will see thew biggest economic contraction in history because 0bama is a mental midget. He didn't understand the bailout bill he voted for, he didn't read it before voting. Nobody did. They dispensed with the reading of the bill in both the House and Senate meaning the general public had no way of knowing what the bailout was about unless they downloaded a copy for themselves.
The news media hyped it up as a way to save the stock market and the economy. The market fell and our economy is in so much trouble we have impacted the world economy.
The house of cards is falling down. The Ponzi scheme is collapsing.0bama will hasten that decline with his stupidity.
The man has absolutely no economic expertise and no common sense when it comes to government policy. - inactive, on 11/04/2008, -7/+16Traitors is a more accurate term.
- darladoon, on 11/05/2008, -0/+9schiff's key words: "i'm not in favor of mccain at all"
- IrishJoe, on 11/04/2008, -2/+11You're right that the Republican Party has become dominated by fundamentalists and crony big business corporations that want to thwart real competition in favor of lining their pockets. Obama has a weird habit of listening to people who disagree with him and modifying his stances based on new information he gleans from them. Just ask members of the Federalists at Harvard Law Review where he gave more editor positions to them than to liberals. If we can get Obama to talk to people like Schiff and Paul and others who take a very different view on the economy what we may end up with is a synthesis of ideas. Unfortunately many like Schiff and Paul whom I respect take hypothetical non-realworld stances and ignore that they need to be adapted to fit the current situation. A synthesis of ideas is what is called for and that is one area where Obama excels. One other poster suggested bringing Schiff into the Obama administration but even if he is just brought in to advise Obama from time to time, exposing his thought processes to different view points will only help our nation.
- metapop, on 11/05/2008, -1/+10wait a second... did you even watch the video?? he said in the beginning that he would "not be happy at all" with "obamanomics" as the interrupting male idiot said.
- inactive, on 11/05/2008, -4/+13what a ***** dumbass, the lady doesn't think gold has real value.
- iloveliberals, on 11/05/2008, -0/+8I want my...I want my....I want my free gasoline!

- martinherrera, on 11/05/2008, -1/+9yeah, let the free market be free and stop government intervention. did you hear anything the man said?
- Jones82, on 11/05/2008, -1/+9Digg wanted Ron Paul, when that didn't work out we settled for Obama
- bipolarruledout, on 11/05/2008, -0/+7A little late for that.
- madmanz123, on 11/05/2008, -0/+7Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that.
