- str3ama, on 10/12/2007, -6/+24the first add from the site "big mac attack" is not a real ad from McDonalds, it's actually from adbusters. Some of those aren't actual ads, but more user created ads (like the finding nemo one obviously).
- quomen, on 10/12/2007, -5/+80The title DOESNT say it all..
you'd think someone posting the most creative ads that he has ever seen would think of the most creative description we've ever read.. - greywolfexcel, on 10/12/2007, -8/+9One ad is NSFW.
- AWeeBitInsane, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Great page. Where is that one with the two opposite billboards with legs (the one above the Nemo ad)? I'm willing to bet there are hordes of teens hitting 100MPH everyday through that opening and then hitting reverse on top speed, then repeating over and over again.
- noopzilla!, on 10/12/2007, -12/+4i really hope (For Mcdonalds' sake) that first ad never made it out into public.
Seriously, why would you want to associate your FAST FOOD restaurant with heart attacks/flat-lining/surgery or whatever?
whoever thought of that is ***** retarded and obviouisly does not know what he's doing.
edit: nevermind, str3ama explained that one for me :) - marsforwater, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0As people say "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," I think creativity is in the eye of the beholder as well.
- OneManArmy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7I like the Cinemaxx one the most.
- Tiggi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Most of the ads I've met many times in some "top charts" around...And they are really great, creative, influencing. I love the one of Folgers coffee - very smart idea, don't you think?
- aston127, on 10/12/2007, -2/+36Gotta love the CareerBuilder.com one!
- asauterChicago, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've worked at Careerbuilder for several years now, and I can say that add has got to be older than Careerbuilder itself :). Careerbuilder combined with Headhunter.net 5 years ago. So, the add you see here was from a viral internet campaign like 7 years years ago, when CB was just a small startup. Who would have ever known that add would still be floating around the internet to this day :-P
- rosewoodtemplar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0That Wawa one is pretty clever.
- MaxPayne3476, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0which one is the wawa one?
- Crazymaniacc, on 10/12/2007, -7/+0Finding Nemo 2 is coming? Is that true?
- jhshukla, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1I like career builder's and philips'.
- d2htornado, on 10/12/2007, -3/+33At least one ad definitely NSFW.
- TrickyTree, on 10/12/2007, -6/+55Bllllllloooooooooooooogspaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmm
- L0g1X, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Not just blog spam
Watermarking images he doesn't own!
- L0g1X, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Not just blog spam
- dudemanbro, on 10/12/2007, -1/+43I hate frames
- bitnix, on 10/12/2007, -36/+6I do not like the "Plan your escape" (lastminute.com) one. I pity ad firms trying to pull off a "fun" joke by using fat people. It's just not funny.
On the other hand, I agree that the CareerBuilder.com one is awesome!- dshPls, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10:*(
- stutte, on 10/12/2007, -5/+35Well maybe people should stop being fat.
- gingerchris, on 10/12/2007, -2/+25She wasn't just fat, she was also pretty damn ugly
- foamcow, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19But she might have "had a great personality" :)
- humperdeath, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2@bitnix, your complaint is unjustified, as the ad had to include SOMEBODY. At least it shows that not all the modeling jobs are going to skinny women. Besides, even fat persons have to 'plan ahead' you know.
- thankyousir, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I don't get the wedding ad personally, wouldn't you have to know the other person a bit before you would be married? if you were marrying the ugly lass you would have had to consent to the marriage previously...
- Sultan47, on 10/12/2007, -14/+0These are some great pictures, but what the hell are they selling? An ad can be clever, but if the ad does not sell or inspire a person to buy a product then it is worthless.
Ad companies and graphic designers are well known for creative ads, but the final definition of the strength of an ad is "does it sell the products.
The papa johns ad is the best out of this.
Screw graphic designers, just make the product sell. Thats the goal of an ad.- foamcow, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3An ad creative will come up with a concept.
A graphic designer's job is to create a working visual to execute that concept.
An artworker (or perhaps the graphic designer) will then turn that visual into workable artwork.
I agree though, the Papa John's one is a nice concept that is well executed. Not sure how successful it would be though. - Indecision, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1@foamcow: Well, honestly, I like Papa John's pizza and there isn't one near me. So if I'm in a hotel and see that one my door, my reaction would probably be, "There's a Papa John's that delivers here? Sweet, pizza for dinner!" I can't imagine I'm the only one. Heck, people are lazy...if someone wants pizza and they see that, they'll probably call PJ's just because they don't have to open a phone book now. So in that respect, I'd bet that did pretty well for them.
- guice, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Ads are built to gain your attention. That's why using women in ads is so popular. All they want to do is make you see their name. The side effect is when you go to a store to buy some new product, you'll buy one from a name you recognize.
- gharding, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I'd say the Papa Johns one is the worst. I hate it enough when restaurants slide their menus under my door. If someone attached something to my peephole and obstructed my view, they just lost their chance of getting my business. I do not like having an ad campaign alter my personal property.
- foamcow, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3An ad creative will come up with a concept.
- socialmedia, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0some great ads here
- tb616973, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6How many times will some blog copy this list, add in one more picture, and then someone submit it to Digg?
- Roger, on 10/12/2007, -4/+41"Title says it all."
It never does you lazy son of a bitch.- msafford, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6Specifically, it didn't say, "NWS"
- sjbdallas, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16Especially when there might be some NSFW
- TheIinLive, on 10/12/2007, -13/+1love the bush on this one. subliminal advertising?
http://www.ezprezzo.com/crazypics/great_ads5.jpg- Roger, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12Whats subliminal about it?
- guice, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10subliminal? more like intentional.
- TheIinLive, on 10/12/2007, -14/+2it's subliminal because it's a haircut ad or something, but it looks like a woman's vagina hairs.
- Roger, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10"but it looks like a woman's vagina hairs."
lol!
(But seriously, that was pretty obvious) - kewlito, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Without the bush there's no point in the ad.... What are you talking about?
- foaf, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1This is the same ***** I get from mindless people that only know how to forward emails of irrelevant and largely unfunny 'fake' ads
- yonas, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1I agree. Most of these are Photoshopped and clearly fake. Moronic and buried as inaccurate.
Please stop submitting trash to Digg.
- yonas, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1I agree. Most of these are Photoshopped and clearly fake. Moronic and buried as inaccurate.
- PhoneGuy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I think most of you missed the point...
This is the ad: PICTURES: Some of the Most Creative Ads I've Ever Seen
And they are selling 'ads by google' - Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2a lot of these are very, very obvious 'shopped pictures interspersed with a few real ads
- Jack9, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Dont mind the dupe'd "legs on a causeway", that happens sometimes. The big problem, is how the original posting a month back actually had innovative ads. marked this one inaccurate.
- guice, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Some I've seen, but all good ads. I really wish we could get away with half that stuff here in the US. Long live PC and the inability to get creative!
- ChocoMidget, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Obviously some of you have never seen a Lurzer's Archive or a Communication Arts magazine, go pick one of those up it'll blow your mind away. Especially since most of the ad's are International and not corrupted by crazy conserative American views.
- mweflen, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2meh.
no digg.- skankyBacon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Thanks for providing us with that insight.
- Cruddles, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1almost all of those are not real. and if they are, they are just spec work. clients would not buy most of those ads.
- dosterm, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1In Europe they would.
- yonas, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Agreed. Mostly fake. Please help bury this as inaccurate. Thanks.
- Dustin00, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Title should also say NOT SAFE FOR WORK!
- rouslan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3The WORST ad in the world: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ci2Qe7oB1XQ
Note-this ad and car advertised is from the 90's. - chrisc2683, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1only a couple of these ads are putting this title to justice.
All of the others are *****, expected, pieces of *****. - Fire4Effect, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Dugg for the careerbuilder.com ad.
- redsmoke, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Is it to much work to preface something with NSFW?
- bshakil, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0no one seems happy .. and still so many diggs
people forgot the use of ""bury"" Button i guess - nchernyaev, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0NSFW! buried
- jackbadd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sharecasted here: http://a2.sharecaster.com/uploads/content/0C3m56Fr2E5w/mlPlayer.html
- zizzy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Best one yet:
http://www.scaryideas.com/print/88/ - rentovski, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanks! LOL)
- bitnix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@ humperdeath: Well, there's no coincidence there is a 'fat person' in that ad (read: person whose body represents something that breaks out of the 'normal' ideals of good looks).
The ad is clearly trying to make a hint, that you're looking at somebody who you'd, suggestingly, want to 'escape' from.
I think the underlying message is clear and it's yet another classic example of appearance discrimination. Although, 'normal' myopics do not see it, nor would they be capable of understanding it. ;) - chops507, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Nice collection of pics!
http://www.uk-cottage-rental.co.uk - johnlotta, on 12/14/2007, -0/+1Wow some awesome ads
http://www.credit-collection-agency.com - pon4v, on 02/27/2008, -0/+0I like cinemax too.
