- cadmiumpaint, on 10/10/2008, -4/+19Watching MSNBC today, McCain finally had enough of his runaway campaign...when some kooky old lady started talking about how Obama is a "foreigner who's not like us" (that was paraphrased but its to the same effect) McCain grabbed the mic from her and told her she was wrong...how Obama is a qualified, family man and he shouldn't be talked about like that. Watch the news tonight...i'm sure the talking heads will have a field day.
It was shocking that McCain had to basically vouch for Obama's patriotism and citizenship in front of one of his town hall style hate meetings, but even McCain knows this whole smear campaign is out of control and he's losing his soul to his runaway party that can't deal with the idea of a person of color beating one of their good ol boys. Its one of the first respectable things Mccain has done all campaign and a sign of the angry hate mob that is forming inside the base of the GOP. Bush, who in 2000 promised he would bridge the gap and bring both parties together in compromise, has pushed them so far apart they can barely stand to be in the same country with each other. I don't blame the current political climate on McCain, but on Bush and Cheney.

I've seen the footage of the republicans who openly state Obama is a terrorist and a muslim extremist, but they are obviously the moronic minority. They only attack Obama's character or lack of experience and do not express what McCain/Palin's policies are. In contrast, only 34% of Obama's ads in the same time period are attack ads. Basically, Obama focuses on the issues and only does attacks when needed to offset McCain's attacks.
