- protogenxl, on 05/20/2009, -2/+18Will there be a High Speed Monorail Linking GovermentLand to Disneyland?
- Blinker1315, on 05/19/2009, -0/+15I'm in favor of everything Disney--more jobs, more relatively cheap vacations for families, more Donald Duck costumes.
- fadeout, on 05/20/2009, -0/+15More allies to come for the Orange County Liberation Front!
- FinalStriker, on 05/20/2009, -2/+17Well, sir, there's nothing on earth
Like a genuine,
Bona fide,
Electrified,
Six-car
Monorail!

- FinalStriker, on 05/20/2009, -4/+11Not on your life, my Hindu friend.
- protogenxl, on 05/20/2009, -4/+11Is there a chance the track could bend?
- protogenxl, on 05/20/2009, -4/+11What about us brain-dead slobs?
- protogenxl, on 05/20/2009, -4/+11I hear those things are awfully loud...
- Lazydriver, on 05/21/2009, -0/+7I dunno why I dugg that obvious forced meme up, but it was suiting, so I couldn't resist.
- fightingforair, on 05/21/2009, -0/+7It would have been more amazing if you guys let others play too. :-(
- UnterDenLinden, on 05/21/2009, -1/+7Wow, what a tag-team.
- FinalStriker, on 05/20/2009, -4/+10It glides as softly as a cloud.
- inactive, on 05/21/2009, -1/+6"Next stop is Lobbyist Land, where new laws are crafted by corporations seeking to sustain their cynical business model!"
- Caleb83, on 05/21/2009, -0/+5There's going to be a lot of jobs at the national harbor, between whatever disney's doing, the gaylord hotel and convention center, the restaurants, and whatever else it out there. I actually haven't even been up there, despite living outside of waldorf. anyone care to share some adventures at the harbor?
- YamsterYams, on 05/19/2009, -0/+5Yes to Donald, Pluto and Goofy. No to Mickey and Minnie.
- ScrewedThePooch, on 05/21/2009, -1/+5great. more traffic in the DC area. just what we need.
- Blinker1315, on 05/19/2009, -0/+4Hey, if you have to whistle while you work, I'd say the more property the better.
- mysn239, on 05/21/2009, -0/+4Good one!!!
- m3th0dm4n, on 05/21/2009, -1/+5Venture Brothers! Need season 4, stat!
- genconkeeper, on 05/21/2009, -0/+4It can only work if there is a way of linking the property with the DC metro system. One of the safest subways in the world. It would appear the nearest station is across the river. Now they can do buses but they would have to be coool buses. They would need there own platform with security and so on running for the hours that the Metro runs. Seems like an interesting plan.
- vassar, on 05/21/2009, -0/+4Always knew Nat'l Harbor was like Disney - now it really will be!
- JCEEZ, on 05/21/2009, -0/+4Imagnieers FTW!
- gordigor, on 05/21/2009, -0/+4$11 million sounds like a bargain for Disney.
- sharkbutt, on 05/21/2009, -0/+4great until they realize it's in PG county.
Tower of Terror has nothing on Bodies Floating By in the Anacostia River - GreatSunJester, on 05/21/2009, -0/+3Why not have theme rides to go alongside the circus we call government?
- scecilio, on 05/21/2009, -0/+3At least now I don't have to leave the state to vacation at a Disney Resort.
- MixedMessage, on 05/21/2009, -0/+3I'm on board. If they can do for Prince George's County, MD (aka "Pistol Grip County, Murdaland" ) what they did for the 1970's era porno movie multiplex that was New York's Times Square, where do I buy my Mickey Ears?
At the same time, though, it looks like there won't be an affordable place to live within 10 miles of the district.
Interesting, I wonder what DCist has to say. - fightingforair, on 05/21/2009, -1/+4Holy crap, a Venture Bros reference? Dugg and Dugg.
- fightingforair, on 05/21/2009, -0/+2No one was around? This is the internets haha.
- Nick5768, on 05/22/2009, -0/+2Have you tried driving out there already? It's near the Wilson Bridge/Springfield Mixing Bowl, I can just imagine the traffic after this.
- KatherineVolk, on 05/20/2009, -2/+4Disney is the richest half-dead in the world.
- theremixtrack, on 05/21/2009, -1/+3If only Playboy bought it...
