- roguepirate, on 10/12/2007, -1/+36MTV and great music don't belong anywhere near each other.
- Coffeedemon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+23Well forget about them playing music at all at the restauraunts, much less "hard rock". It will be reruns of the real world all day long now and your servers will be issued Paris Hilton costumes complete with acessory chihuahuas.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20I couldn't disagree more! MTV will stop playing music in Hard Rock and instead will air ***** re-runs of Next, The Real World, and Road Rules.
***** MTV. They ruined music television, and they will ruin this music-based restaurant.
But on the bright side, at least Carson Daly would be able to get a job washing dishes now. - ScornForSega, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15BREAKING NEWS: MTV founder renames entire restaurant chain to "Super Sweet 16 Cafe."
- Yashar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16Awesome! MTV is now going to be bringing their fake mainstream music and styles right into the Hard Rock Cafe....
/sarcasm - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6No, MTV quit playing music about 12 years ago. Now it will be mainstream Real World vs Road Rules challenges...
- Dracos, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Screw Hard Rock. Years ago, KSHE 95 (*the* rock radio station in St Louis, whose tag line is "Real Rock Radio") opened their own restaurant in Union Station and called it the Real Rock Cafe. Hard Rock sued them over the name, and won. KSHE has been around since 1967, they should have been able to keep it. Another stupid lawsuit clogging the legal system.
- altcountryman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yeah, back in the day, there was nuthin' cooler than a Hard Rock T-shirt or sweatshirt. The farther away the city was from your hometown, the cooler. "Whoa, they've got a Hard Rock *there*?" I'll admit, I used to want to visit all the Hard Rocks in the world.
- nicholasdog, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Great now we are going to have another reality TV series at the Hard Rock
They could call it hard Rockers. Hard Rock t-shirts used to be cool now they make great rags for waxing my car. No dice... Let it be - strebormj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Ironic, given that hard rock is something MTV won't play -- prefering instead to endlessly blast America's illiterate youth with a steady diet of manufactured corporate rap/R&B/dance music and radical pseudo-reality programming.
- altcountryman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Hard Rock also sued the owner of Rick's Hard Luck Cafe, a divey little joint in the thriving metropolis of Hamilton IL, the middle of nowhere, over 5 hours from the nearest Hard Rock in Chicago.
- Craig1394, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Is he going to abandon the Hard Rock and let it go to ***** too?
- roadtrippy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'll say, in my opinion, MTV fell off around '98 - '99. After that, all I ever saw when I tuned in was Road Rules, or Real World. Real World? c'mon... if you want to see the real world, turn off the TV and go open the front door. The way MTV is now, you'd be better off doing that anyway.
I hate to think of what something like this might bode for the Hard Rock's future. - Wesmax27, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Hard Rock Cafe and MTV are made for each other. Overrated crap disguised as food and overrated crap disguised as music go hand in hand. This will make for a crappy experience all around. Woohoo.
- rcran, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3"BUT 'THE MAN' RUINED THAT TOO WITH A LITTLE THING CALLED MTV!"
- rickr0ck, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Something else for the MTV/Time Warner cronies to ruin.
btw: The Tube Music station rocks!
This is a great statement Roguepirate "MTV and great music don't belong anywhere near each other." You are right on the ball with that one.... - kriminalintent, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Who's Carson Daily?
Is he the guy pretending to have a late night show? - stratmancj, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2i can't wait till we can go to the hard rock and see my super sweet 16 or yo momma ... its gonna be awesome!!!!!
- Llanowar, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1Hmmm, co-founder, meaning there is atleast one other founder as well...
So explain to me how you can use "THE" pointing at something there are multiple off? - scottmoss, on 10/12/2007, -17/+3 It's the perfect match, it's the only place in Vegas that you can play cards and have some of the greatest music playing loud.....
