- cosmochao, on 04/09/2008, -0/+2Fantastic Hub, Jesse. It's very well organized. It's smart how you used my video until you get your own--video ads a nice touch to a hub or squidoo lens (or blog, etc)... so until you create your own you can use any you see at 'generic' marketing merge YouTube location, as you already figured out. I won't be using that to promote anything so they can be used like this. (Just in case other read this I should stress not to use my YouTube videos at the MikeKlingler YouTube location, but instead the MarketingMerge YouTube location since I won't promote anything there... that's what Jesse did here). Anyway, great job on it, very clearly written and a great message for networkers. Don't forget to book mark it (Furl, etc) and create some incoming links so more people find it. Also, email your list about it in a value-focused way... what they'll get out of going there. Keep rocking!
- HopeWeaver, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1This indeed is a great site.....I was excited by how much information there was and how organized and easy to follow. It was inspirational Jesse.....I am striving to reach the same level of excellence....Pat
- cosmochao, on 04/09/2008, -0/+2By the way, I've started posting more follow-up articles and visual tutorials on how to hire freelance writers--I've just paid someone $75 to write 5 articles for me. If they're decent I can then turn those into 15+ articles (have to change them so they're not duplicate to get search engine benefit but it's easier to write with an outline already there). What I'm saying is that for those of you wanting to create alot of Hubs and Squidoo Lenses and Blog pages, you can go get 5 articles and start at it. You have to build a base of initial content out there, like Jesse is doing here with is Hub Page, so you can then use it to link to other content, which is what throws you higher on the search engines and gets you reaching out to very large numbers of people passing through your stuff. Then, you can put up links to various affiliate products so you're starting to get 10+ checks in the mail from various companies while you're attracitng prospects into your lead capture pages. This is all vital to your success in the new era... so if you're having trouble creating content, hire someone by going through my tutorials and do what I'm showing you to get someone else to create 5 articles to get some more content out there... build that base! It's like a launching pad.
- Labe, on 04/09/2008, -0/+2Very well done, Jesse. I have been attending the University and learning from Mike also. I am considerably older than you so some of this doesn't come as easy but I keep chugging along. I believe this is the future of MLM and being successful.
- cosmochao, on 04/09/2008, -0/+2Jesse and anyone else using video from this address: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPQembJ6u_g
Before you copy the embedded code at the right of the video, click the 'customize' l ink just above the embedded code (to right of video). Then choose 'Don't Include Related Vides' --- this way after the video is done playing at your Hub Page (or wherever you have it) it won't show other people's related You Tube videos... this is more likely to keep them on your page.
If you're not doing or using video yet, go to the location I just instructed above and get your first glimpse at what you'll soon be doing. It's not so bad... everything new seems harder than it really is. Even if you don't want to create your own video you'll want to start placing other video you've selected into your content for better results. We'll of course spend a lot of time on this stuff as we move into video next... still a few things to get out of the way because once we start training on video I'd like to focus on it for a while. - theblueguitar, on 04/09/2008, -0/+0Thanks so much you guys. It really means a lot to me that you like what I wrote. I know for a year or so for me Internet Marketing was kind of like screaming into the dark, it never seemed like anyone was listening. Thanks to Renegade U, I really have yet seen such an empowered network of people converging on the network marketing arena. The next few years are going to be interesting and a heck of a lot of fun.
- lorrhans, on 04/09/2008, -0/+0I could never get this to come up -- but it sounds interesting.
- Airsled, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1Jesse, Even your comments about the comments others leave are well worth reading. I have added this to my Favorites.
- AchieveNW, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1Jesse, I really appreciate the obvious effort and care you have put into building the base that Mike mentions and has been urging us to follow your lead. I'm workin' on it. Thanks for being such a great model.
- theblueguitar, on 04/11/2008, -0/+1Thanks for the kind words, I guess I learned the hard way first when I started, I tried the "copycat marketing" opportunity pimping type stuff and I always felt like a sleazeball. I knew I'd never make it in network marketing if I had to lie to generate prospects, so I totally quit network marketing and learned Internet marketing in a topic totally unrelated to N.M. Just being on the SBI forums is probably a PhD level education right there. . . if you guys own an SBI site, that is truly where you're going to find your true niche. Thanks again for the kind words. Jesse
