  • tacotacotaco, on 07/17/2009, -1/+24Funny how the SEC goes after people like Cuban - who was publicly criticizing the SEC before they brought this action - and yet misses the $50 billion fraud of Madoff when they had that evidence literally spelled out and sent to them. It's almost as if there is a pattern of the SEC just going after vocal critics or small targets while intentionally ignoring the large crimes committed by the financially connected on Wall Street. Oh wait, it's not "almost". It's exactly what the SEC has been doing. The organization needs to be seriously overhauled and not populated with financial insiders. The current head Schapiro is very connected with the financial industry and would never do anything to jeopardize the billions Wall Street makes with unethical and/or illegal activities. Put in Markopolous (the guy who warned the SEC about the Madoff fraud) or end the SEC altogether and give its functions to other organizations. The SEC really is that bad and ineffectual.
