- brad3378, on 09/26/2008, -1/+29I trust Jim Rogers.
As the world's most successful commodity investor, he stands to gain from a weakened dollar...
........ Yet he is one of the most vocal opponents of our nation's deficit spending, the Federal Reserve, and the bailout.
When Jim talks, I listen. - inactive, on 09/26/2008, -2/+25Watch more Jim Rogers on my blog.

- Pssdoff, on 09/26/2008, -1/+14***** media is deluding people into thinking that without trillions in bailouts all is lost.
I say, ***** those *****! - inactive, on 09/26/2008, -1/+14I agree with Rogers, the bailout is BS!!! So is anything less than removing the current government (all three branches), the Fed, and the oligarchs who have conspired against us to promote their agenda, and bringing them all to justice!!! To arms America!!!

They need to live in the same reality as everyone else! No welfare for the rich. - brad3378, on 09/26/2008, -0/+11Have you read any of his books yet? My favorite is the Adventure Capitalist.

Despite being a 5 year old book, I was amazed by his ability to call out the Fannie / Freddie crisis in the making.
What I most like about Jim is that he doesn't pretend to be able to predict short term trends, but he has a knack for calling out the big long term trends and making piles of money from them.
A few months ago when we were experiencing record oil prices with seemingly no end in sight, Jim told an interviewer that he was investing in Airline stocks. The interviewer asked: Are you crazy? Airlines are going bankrupt! WTF? Truthfully, I thought Jim was crazy too....... Yet he was right when he claimed that the weak airlines going bankrupt would make the surviving airlines more profitable.
In my opinion, the only person I find more interesting than Jim Rogers is Ron Paul. - estrader, on 09/26/2008, -0/+11Straight Talk with Jim Rogers ...
You wont be hearing the 'economy is sound' with him...
We should put him in charge of the Treasury - Striker101, on 09/26/2008, -0/+6...welfare for the rich, be clear that it is effect, not cause ;)
The other clip available there on Fannie/Freddie was also great. - Postalwrker27, on 09/26/2008, -0/+6Betty needs to shut her damn mouth and listen instead of arguing with the man.
- gottadiggit, on 09/26/2008, -0/+5Never heard him come out and support Ron, that is one question I would ask him if I could. Plus I would have to add Peter Schiff to your list.
PS Have not read that book yet. - bulldozering, on 09/30/2008, -0/+0I love seeing Jim Rogers. He is always ripping Paulson and Bernake a new one.
