- OneLuvGurl, on 03/10/2009, -24/+180I think Jim Cramer is annoying.
- HookmasterCH47, on 03/10/2009, -26/+169Cramer is a moron if he thinks he can actually take on Jon Stewart.
- inactive, on 09/13/2009, -16/+133Jim looks like he is ***** a stale hard taco as he gets put into the hot seat.
- guyincognitoo, on 03/10/2009, -1/+114The part about Jon Stewart starts at about the 3:30 mark.
- kaelyiesta, on 03/10/2009, -14/+109So he claims that his call to sell, already well into the recession, absolves his lack of understanding of macroeconomic factors that lead to the entire markets decline? How absurd. If you take upon yourself the job of understanding markets and economics, then missing something this big is inexcusable. So what if the majority of 'economists' were just as mistaken? They're all guilty of the same error in judgment. Simply put, these guys aren't really economist or market analysts if they don't understand such fundamental realities about economics. To claim they are is irresponsible.
- ftc08, on 03/10/2009, -16/+102Yes Mr. Cramer, Stewart is a comedian.
Stewart happens to be a comedian who busted your ass. Trying to slam his credibility because of his "title" doesn't work when he slammed the ***** out of you because of your ineptitude.
Cramer, Eat a bag of *****. - inactive, on 03/10/2009, -4/+83its pretty awesome when major networks feel like they have to start defending themselves against what Jon Stewart says.
- inactive, on 03/10/2009, -12/+70Cramer gets paid to pump stocks up. Of course his advice is worthless.
- souldawg, on 03/10/2009, -5/+54Missing the funny. It was painful to watch him get that defensive. He was called out by a COMEDIAN. Personally, I think Stewart is hitting another high point with his criticism of CNBC and other financial channels.
- protogenxl, on 03/10/2009, -10/+58You can't win an argument against a guy who has a writers room.
- DephexTwin, on 03/10/2009, -5/+53You're damn right it's hard... that's why I didn't choose "making predictions" as my job title. This guy, on the other hand, did choose that job.
- kemp34, on 03/10/2009, -13/+61Avoid Jim Cramer's financial advice:
http://www.ponderthis.net/2009/03/07/one-mans-advi ... - arbysrocks, on 03/10/2009, -2/+44he's good at yelling and flailing his arms around.
- inactive, on 09/13/2009, -14/+53I think Cramer should get into comedy.
- zeitgueist, on 03/10/2009, -14/+51Jim Cramer is even giving bad advice, or intentionally manipulating the market to the benefit of himself and others. You decide.
- flossdaily, on 03/10/2009, -2/+36Unnecessary condition. Cramer is a moron whether or not he thinks he can actually take on Jon Stewart.
- sahaskatta, on 03/10/2009, -2/+35the last guy that tried messing with stewart, tucker carlson, ended up loosing his show CNN Crossfire... he ended up being voted off dancing with the stars...
not kidding. - datacowboy, on 03/10/2009, -1/+32Hey Cramer. Grow a pair and go on The Daily Show and face Stewart. Blogs and other shows on NBC don't count.
- Adgeman, on 03/10/2009, -2/+31Thanks I was getting bored of listening to this douche.
- calypsoschnitzl, on 03/10/2009, -1/+29"A comeeeediaaan, a comeeeeeeediaaan is attacking me!!!"
- Tripw0l, on 03/10/2009, -4/+29Cramer was targeted because he came out and attacked the administration because he felt that the administration was making a mistake and it was having an effect on the market. This was only after Cramer had made numerous monumentally wrong suggestions about the market. Cramer's inability to be up front and accept responsibility for his own bad predictions and frequent whining and blaming Washington for his problems is why the Daily Show sat up and took notice.
Why believe CNBC when they say that the administration is hurting the economy when they've only made bad calls in the past? That's the question Stewart is asking and too bad if Cramer wants to cry and bitch about it. - Mike668, on 03/10/2009, -10/+34So wait, why is it news that in the last six months or so someone has been wrong calling the markets? His job is to make predictions about stocks. Even in uncertain times, even when he's uncertain, he's got to make calls. These are unusual times and blindly following ANYONE is stupid.
- CaptOblivious, on 03/10/2009, -2/+26And a crappy fortune teller.
- farfromsubtl, on 03/10/2009, -3/+25I think it's funny when loud-mouth pundits/hosts get so flustered by Stewart that they dismiss him as a "Comedian" as though that should instantly close the argument.
- landosystem, on 03/10/2009, -2/+21also, Jon Stewart is a comedian who host a show on Comedy Central designed to make people laugh. Even if he were a news host, no news broadcaster is given the duty of solving problems, simply reporting on them.
- Tyrghast, on 03/10/2009, -3/+19No one thinks of the Daily Show as a news show however it can, through the use of humor, provide very frank commentary.
- digghasnoethics, on 03/10/2009, -1/+17There are times when the best form of defence is attack.
Then there are times when the best form of defence is to shut your trap.
Cramer is just digging his own grave - nobody is going to take the side of the wall street pundit in this market. - keving727, on 03/10/2009, -3/+18Yeah why Doesn't Jon Stewart give financial advice..he is a professional comedian.
- dvnt1, on 03/10/2009, -5/+20Way to completely miss the point Jim Cramer & Co. Stewart isn't heckling you for being wrong. He's heckling you for being there in the first place.
- elpresidente408, on 03/10/2009, -6/+20I used to subscribe to CNBC plus so I could watch at work, but I just canceled my subscription the other day. In the past couple of months, I've watched them become more biased against the Obama administration to the point where every story is preempted with that theme. I agree the current administration could be handling this better but where was CNBC months ago?
Just stick to Bloomberg, it has a free online stream and is much less biased http://www.bloomberg.com/avp/avp.htm?clipSRC=LiveB ... - fabriciom, on 03/10/2009, -1/+15very
- stevenhawking, on 03/10/2009, -0/+13That is the same clip that was shown in the video from NBC. Only the video submitted is Cramer's response to the video you linked.
- KMartSheriff, on 03/11/2009, -0/+13Losing*
But yeah, you're totally right otherwise. The CNN Crossfire with John Stewart video for anyone who missed it, VERY funny:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFQFB5YpDZE - rholland356, on 03/10/2009, -1/+13Capital comment! Jon Stewart's stock is on the rise!
Buy-Buy... - andytronic, on 03/25/2009, -2/+14Have fun with that.
- sheeplescareme, on 03/10/2009, -1/+13listen closely to jim for personal financial advice - then do the opposite.
on a side note, he looked pretty uncomfortable and more than a little tired in that clip. - inactive, on 03/10/2009, -2/+14Oh, the fickle Digg community. I made the same comment 1 month ago, and got a million down-votes, plus replies defending Cramer. I hate you guys.
- deweather, on 03/10/2009, -3/+15So you are saying Cramer shouldn't have his show? Then we are agreed.
That's Stewart's main point about CNBC's "money" shows. They are treating the market like it's entertainment. It's not. These are people's livelihoods. Their retirements. His point is that these shows destroy people's lives for ratings. It may not be intentional, but that's the truth.
They don't investigate companies or hold CEOs accountable. They make predictions on what stocks to pick without providing real tangible evidence of why to do so. The shows take an important and unknown quantity, the Stock Market, and trivialize it to be something it's not.
- cbc22, on 03/10/2009, -3/+14***** Jim Cramer
- harrisbradley, on 03/10/2009, -9/+19Personally I liked Craig Killborn.
Just kidding guys, I'm... wait, guys. I was kidding, hold on, put that down. No! Don't! arrrghgh arr rrrgh. hurm. - iparker, on 03/10/2009, -0/+10Louis CK, bag of ***** skit, FTW.
- BHRecon, on 03/10/2009, -1/+11Listening to Cramer is statistically no better then flipping a coin.
- MisterGnome, on 06/13/2009, -0/+9I agree.
but Erin Burnett is a fox. - guyincognitoo, on 03/10/2009, -3/+12http://digg.com/television/Jim_Cramer_to_Appear_on ...
- shakestercody, on 03/10/2009, -5/+141. He looks like he's wearing one of those inflatable sumo suits.
2. Listen to the way he says "terrible." He's like Charles Barkley.
- Lunarparcel, on 03/10/2009, -5/+14Cramer is a troll. I already wasted more time on him typing this sentence then he really deserves.
- homercles337, on 03/10/2009, -3/+12Isnt he already in comedy?
- redskyformiles, on 03/10/2009, -2/+11Cramer is a ***** bafoon. its shocking that anyone takes his advice.
- lisaatucla, on 03/10/2009, -1/+9Cramer: thanks for telling us that not just the wealthy are suffering.
